
According to a media release, a 41-year-old woman was investigated for her suspected involvement in operating 7 illegal massage parlours along Yio Chu Kang Road. The woman is believed to be managing 7 units in a building which were used for operating unlicensed massage parlours.
According to the police, 13 massage beds, 16 chairs, 2 sofas, 12 portable blinds and message-related items were seized during the raid.
According to the law, any convicted of running an illegal massage parlour without a valid licence could face a jail term up to 2 years, fined up to S$10,000 or both. For repeated offenders, the accused could face a jail term up to 5 years, fined up to S$20,000 or both.
