Getai veteran Wang Lei was in Paris recently for his live-stream and he was seen in the streets taking in the sights with his wife and his “disciple” Qiao Er.
He posted videos of himself dancing and singing funeral songs in front of the Eiffel Tower, as well as mingling around with the locals.
In one of his videos, he was seen teaching a couple of French guys Hokkien – he taught them the phrase “HENG ONG HUAT”, which means luck and prosperity.
He then taught them how to shout “HONG GAN AH”, which can be used as an uncouth way to express anger and/or disappointment; as the two French men demonstrated what they’ve learned to the camera.
Wang Lei then taught them his signature vulgarity, “KNN”, and the two Frenchman then went wild with the phrase that they learned.
