HDB RESIDENT ALLEGEDLY BLASTING MUSIC AFTER 2.30AM, 3 DAYS IN A ROW

A resident living in St George’s Lane allegedly blasted music from his/her home after 2.30am, for 3 days in a row.

The neighbour complained that she called the police on the second day but they arrived after the “disco session” was over.

She added that she had initially thought that her neighbours were having New Year’s celebrations on 31st December, so she ignored the ruckus.

But the noise continued for 2 more days and she eventually had enough and called the police.

Potential penalties

Anyone who makes any noise in excess that is likely to cause annoyance or inconvenience to others in the vicinity or in any public setting could face fines of up to $1,000.
