DBS Bank shared a post onto their Facebook page earlier today (19 January), warning their customers about fake SMSes being sent to them pretending to be DBS.

The scammers are sending fake SMSes to users claiming that their account has been suspended and the users would then be asked to go to a fake website.

They would then have their login information and one-time passwords stolen by the scammers on the website.

Here is DBS’ statement:

“[SCAM ALERT] Scammers impersonating DBS may target you via SMS phishing. Please do not click on any SMS with clickable links.

DBS will never ask for your account details or OTP over the phone, email or SMS.

Please be assured that we are actively taking down such phishing sites.”
