Singapore’s national water agency PUB said on Facebook yesterday (27 January) that there were flash floods at the PIE slip road heading towards Bedok North Avenue 3, as well as the junction of Ubi Avenue 3 and Eunos Link yesterday.
PUB said that their officers were at the scene at both sites to help and that the water levels in the drains at the above mentioned locations were either at full capacity or nearing it.
They also issued a flood risk warning.

Flash flood (27 Feb – Junction of Ubi Ave 3 and Eunos Link, and PIE slip road entrance/exit at Bedok North Ave 3 exit)
Prolonged heavy rain was experienced over many areas of Singapore this afternoon. PUB issued flood risk warnings for several locations, including New Upper Changi Road/ Chai Chee Road, Bedok North Ave 3, Ubi Ave 3/ Eunos link. Flash floods occurred at the junction of Ubi Ave 3 and Eunos Link, and PIE slip road entrance/ exit at Bedok North Ave 3 exit at 2:05pm. PUB’s Quick Response Teams were deployed at the locations alongside Traffic Police to render assistance to motorists and direct the traffic. Flash floods at both locations subsided around 2:25pm.
The heaviest rainfall recorded in eastern Singapore was 141.8mm at Kim Chuan Road rainfall station from 11.35am to 2:55pm. This corresponds to 135% of Singapore’s average monthly rainfall in February and lies within the top 0.6% of maximum daily rainfall records since 1981.
