With the prices of petrol going up, the news of opening up the borders with Malaysia is big news for many drivers as it means cheaper fuel for their cars.
A photo has gone viral on Telegram and Whatsapp after a man was seen jacking up his car to allow maximum pumping of petrol.
Netizens were discussing that doing so might damage the car and the repair cost might not be worth it. Previously, Singaporeans were often seen shaking their vehicle to let the “petrol flow” but this driver really wastes no time he directly uses a car jack.
The photo has gone viral in Malaysia, with most netizens welcoming back Singaporeans as it will help boost their economy.

Savings of up to 50%
In general, the cost of petrol in Johor Bahru is around 40-50% cheaper compared to pumping in Singapore.
This means that a driver that pays $500 a month for petrol can potentially save around $250 a month, that is savings of $3,000 a year. Meaning a good holiday overseas or offset of some financial burden.
