The teenage girl is among two other Europeans who went missing, along with their instructor, after going diving near an island in the south.

The instructor, a 35-year-old Norwegian woman by the name of Kristine Grodem, was rescued alive on Thursday after drifting for miles and has since been conveyed to the hospital in a stable condition.

Molina spoke to AFP from the base for the search operations, Mersing:

“We hear from experienced divers that the situation is positive, they’re above water, hopefully they’re together still. We are hoping for the best. She’s a strong girl.”
