COMFORTDELGRO APOLOGISES AFTER TAXI DRIVER DUMPED WOMAN AT WRONG DESTINATION

A netizen, Agnes Ho, previously shared how her mother who suffers from dementia and their maid were allegedly dumped at the wrong stop by their taxi driver.

The taxi driver had dropped them off at Toh Tuck Drive instead of Toh Yi Drive.

Speaking to STOMP, the group chief branding and communications officer of ComfortDelGro, Tammy Tan, apologised for the incident.

She said that after learning about the incident, they launched an investigation and the taxi driver admitted to making a mistake and dropping the passengers off at the wrong locations.

She added that the taxi driver realised that he had dropped them off at the wrong locations and had returned to look for them but was not successful.

Tan further added that they have reprimanded the taxi driver and the customer service agent for their service lapses.

They have also reached out to the passenger’s daughter who posted about the incident online and apologised for the incident, offering a full fare refund, as well as planning to visit the family to check on her mother’s well-being.

Tan added that “We will reinforce in our cabbies the need to ascertain the destination with the passengers, and also watch out for vulnerable groups such as seniors and children. We are sorry for this incident.”
