A 28-year-old Singaporean woman was killed in a traffic accident in Malaysia on 29 June after the car that she was in crashed into a guard rail, according to Shin Min Daily News.
The accident happened at about 5.15pm on a highway, and she was with a man and two other women, who were all Malaysians.
The quartet were driving during bad weather and heading towards Redang Island when their car drove over a puddle.
The car then skidded and crashed into a guard rail, with the 28-year-old woman, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, suffering multiple injuries and dying on the spot.
The four of them had left KL at about 1pm to visit Redang Island, which is well known for its sandy beaches and clear waters.
The Singaporean was living in KL with her boyfriend who was driving the car, and reportedly attended NUS and was working in a biomedical company as a manager.
Her body has since been taken to a hospital in Terengganu for post-mortem work, and her family is reportedly en route to Malaysia.
