Her lawyers claim that Heard is entitled to a mistrial according to “newly discovered facts and information that Juror number 15 was not the person summoned for jury duty on 11 April”, according to People magazine who obtained documents filed with the Fairfax County Circuit Court.

The filed documents claim that the juror in question was 77 years old at the time and had the last name and address as another 52-year-old.

But in a twist, Heard’s legal team is alleging that the younger person showed up as a juror in the trial, contradicting their own documents.

They also said that it was “deeply troubling for an individual not summoned for jury duty nonetheless to appear for jury duty and serve on a jury”.

They claimed that Heard was not given the “proper due process” in court was should be given a new trial.
