It was a big mistake that I made, and I’m still embarrassed about it now. I was scrolling through TikTok live and saw a guy selling Rolexes.
They looked really real and had all the paperwork and box as well. Being a sucker for watches, I decided to take a chance and bought one.
When I got my Rolex, I was really excited. I showed it to my friends and they were impressed. I even wore it to a few parties.
Everyone kept asking me where I got my Rolex from, and I proudly told them it was from a guy on TikTok live.
Little did I know that they were already suspecting that the Rolex I bought was a fake.
After a few weeks, some of my friends started to ask me if my Rolex is fake. They pointed out some tiny details that only a watch expert would know.
But being the stubborn person I am and not wanting to lose face, I kept insisting that it was real.
When I was asked to go to a watchmaker to get it checked, I refused. I knew that my Rolex was fake and I didn’t want to be embarrassed if it was confirmed.
So, I kept trying to convince my friends that my Rolex was genuine.
However, my friends were not convinced and kept telling me to get it checked.
Finally, I had to admit that my Rolex was fake. I felt so ashamed and angry at myself for going ahead to buy a replica and still used it to show off to people.
It’s been a few years since this incident, and I’m still embarrassed when I think about it.
I should not have bought a fake Rolex in the first place and much worst even try to pass it off as genuine to people.
