S’POREAN ARRESTED IN THAILAND AFTER TRYING TO FLEE TO US FOR $80M FOREX SCAM CASE

Phuket Immigration. Forex-3D case suspect arrested after trying to flee abroad.

At 10:30 am today (16 m ) k. 66) The Phuket Airport Immigration Checkpoint officers along with the Phuket Airport Travel Police arrested Singaporean Darral Yanghui Chai who has a criminal warrant for a case of Forex scam know as Forex-3D-share.

He was on his way from Phuket International Airport to the United States. The Singaporean was arrested by the Phuket airport immigration checkpoint after officers checked the passport of the man which triggered an alert.

It is reported that Mr Darrell has tried to flee abroad as he is a key suspect in the Forex-3D case, who is close to a famous model, so the authorities have checked in the pre-selection system or APPS system of STM.

The suspect was found to be travelling abroad with Scoot Airline at Phuket International Airport. Flight TR659 Phuket-Singapore was jointly taken into custody at the Phuket Airport Departure Hall.

At least 8,436 victims fell prey to the scam resulting in a loss of 2 billion baht (SGD$80 million)

How does the scam works?

The scam made used of advertising which promised customers a 60-80% return.

Targeting greedy people thinking that money will drop from the sky. The scam took place on a website known as www.forex-3D.com as the medium for fraudulent advertising to entice the public to invest in foreign currency exchange trading (Forex).
