Curious to know any trivial remarks our SG parents made that affected us unknowingly.
For me, my mum always said that every grain of rice i throw away as a kid (unfinished food) would mean 1 more acne on my girlfriends face.
Till this day, even after having a girlfriend i still clean out my plate without a single grain of rice left out of habit.

I’m old enough now to know i have to dial back my attention to detail, because it freaks out even the most conscientious people I know (you know who you are) - My father has never said a single word of praise to me. Always put me down, even as a kid.

Nope, still hasn’t happened. But because of this, I harbor no big dreams or think that I am a special snowflake in any way. If anything, it has taught me to be cynical, realistic and have no expectations because then, you can’t be disappointed.
