My boyfriend is in $180,000 worth of debt from Forex trading and i feel stuck and lost in this battle with him with no way out.
In a span of 1 month, my boyfriend lost his job and lost a huge amount of money on forex trading.
Thing is, that wasn’t his money. He needs to pay it all back. Idk how this whole forex trading thing works but what he does is he keeps borrowing huge amounts of money from other people to serve as capital, but the way it works is he has to pay these people back with interest.
He kept going, until everything was lost and now he’s stuck in debt.
My problem is that we are living together, I work from home and I can no longer focus with this cloud of anxiety hanging over my head and random people messaging me on social media letting me know that they need the money.
To be completely honest, I feel trapped in this cage with him even though I didn’t do this and have always asked him not to treat forex trading as some sort of gambling and and easy way to get a huge amount of money as it’s not always going to happen, and I always saw the risks.
I feel so bad that I’m feeling this way. I just want to breathe. I’m in this house all the time and it’s not even peaceful anymore. I have to work and cook and care for him and clean the house as he’s too down to do so, with all these forex trading debts clouding our home.
I have so many dreams for myself and I feel like it’s all stopped. My family are all going overseas to work & live there and I feel like I have this huge responsibility not to leave him (his mother is also begging me not to) especially during this time, or else I am the bad person.
I just want this to end, but I don’t know if it will. I can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel anymore
