A Singaporean guy shared his sibei sad story online — his girlfriend of three years kena gold bar scam after insist on trusting her Malaysian friend over him. He say no matter how he try explain, she just don’t want listen.
He say, “I already tell her don’t believe those ‘sure win’ nonsense. You think money so easy come meh? But she say I jealous of her success.” The girlfriend got convinced by a Malaysian friend who say this gold bar scheme can make 30% profit in two weeks. Just need put in $5,000 first.
When he try show her news articles and scam warning from police, she reply, “You too negative lah. Always don’t support me.” He even suggest to go website check whether the investment company real or not, but she say, “Don’t need, my friend do already.”
All The Warning Signs She Also Don’t Want See
The guy say girlfriend even go borrow money from her own friends and some family members, say it’s for “investment opportunity” — end up put everything into the scam. Few weeks later, the so-called “company” disappear, website also cannot load, phone number also no more.
He say he feel damn useless. “I try warn her so many times, I even say I can help her find proper way to grow her savings. But she say I backward thinker.” Now she in debt, cry every day, but still blame him for “cursing” her luck.
“I don’t know what else I could’ve done already,” he added. “Now I not only heart pain, wallet also pain, ’cause I lent her some money too.”

Now the guy say he no longer know whether can continue this relationship. “When someone cannot even listen to you on serious things, how to build future together?”
He also warn others: “Got people say ‘sure profit’, you better run first. Don’t because is your partner, you scared hurt their feelings. Scammer don’t care who you are — once your money in, they gone already.”
