SINGAPOREAN WANTED IN MALAYSIA FOR CONNECTION WITH DRUG BUST

The Malaysian Police are on a lookout for a Singaporean man with connection with a recent drug bust in regards to a manufacturing and trafficking syndication which saw the seizure of more than a million ringgit in drugs and other items.

The Singaporean, Ang Hoe Lee, 47, last known address was in Jalan Persiaran Danga Perdana, Danga bay.

The drug bust happened on May 15, where they seized several parcels containing drugs meant to be shipped to Singapore from a local courier company in Senai, said state police chief Comm Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay.

“As a result of seizing the parcels, we were able to conduct 33 raids on drug syndicates in the Johor Baru, Senai, Kulai, and Kluang areas.

“The parcels contained 6kg of methemphetamine, 1kg of ketamine, as well as ecstasy in 105g powdered and 1,430 pills.

“By May 22, we rounded up 30 suspects made up of 25 locals, two Singaporean men and an Indonesian male. There were also two women from Myanmar and Indonesia, ” he said in a press conference at the state police headquarters yesterday.

One of the Singaporeans is the syndicate mastermind. Also seized were jewellery, 10 vehicles, Malaysian and Singaporean currency as well as equipment used to process and pack the drugs.

Comm Ayob said the syndicate would hide the drugs in numerous household items such as speakers and wooden decorations.

“We have shared the intel gathered from these raids with the Central Narcotics Bureau of Singapore, ” he said.
