TP OFFICER STOPS TO SAMAN LORRY DRIVER, GETS CRASHED INTO BY ANOTHER LORRY

A video surfaced online showing a Traffic Police officer stopping a lorry to issue a saman (fine) to a 68-year-old driver, when another lorry driven by a 30-year-old crashed into both the TP officer and the first lorry driver that he stopped.

Both victims were rendered unconscious as passerbys came over to provide assistance.

The 30-year-old lorry driver was subsequently arrested and both the TP officer and the 68-year-old lorry driver were conveyed to the hospital.

The accident reportedly happened at the chevron marking along PIE towards Changi Airport before the Tampines Avenue 5 exit, on 3 February at about 11.30am.

The case is currently under investigation.
