GUN REPLICA SEIZED BY ICA OFFICERS, REFERRED TO POLICE FOR INVESTIGATION

According to Immigration & Checkpoints Authority Singapore (ICA), ICA officials at Pasir Panjang Scanning Station discovered abnormalities in the scanned pictures of a container containing a consignment stated as “kids’ toys” on August 7, 2021.

ICA officers then conducted a supervised unstuffing operation at the importer’s location, revealing 12 sets of handgun replicas and accessories hidden within the shipment.

Under the Arms and Explosive Act, pistol replicas are prohibited. For further investigation, the matter was forwarded to the Singapore Police Force.
