BOSS HIRED THEIR CHILDREN, WHO KEEP MESSING UP AT WORK & STAFF GETS BLAMED

My boss hired their kids and they f-ing suck

90% of the time when there’s an issue it can be traced back to them but nothing ever happens. And somehow the boss ends up scolding the rest of us for it.

They never prep the store for the next shift. Yesterday I THOUGHT the daughter was going to do some prep work before leaving but no…she was making food for herself.

I’m looking for another job at the moment but this s-t f-ing sucks…the boss was wondering why its been so hard to hire and keep people well know I know why.

  1. Boss’ kids.. We refer to these types as the ‘Broken Arrows’. They dont work, and you cant fire them.
  2. My boss (actually boss’s boss) brought his kid to work. She was bounced from all her previous internships, so since he was head honcho he made a job for her and assigned me to babysit and make sure the work she was assigned actually got done. He didn’t tell me or anyone else about her history of do-nothing at previous jobs.
So in addition to my regular job, I watched over everything she was supposed to do, re-did most of it, and actually taught her some useful skills. I learned about her past work history from her, as well as her intention to drop out of her college engineering degree program as soon possible. Between the successful work, the skills she learned, and the general positive feedback I lavished on her, she changed her mind and finished her engineering degree.
I was expected a nice bonus or other reward, as this was both a heroic effort on my part and an astonishingly positive outcome from what might have been a disastrous situation.
My actual reward: I was transferred to a new manager who knew none of this story, thought I must be useless since my last job was babysit an intern, and he put me on the top of the layoff list. Boss’s boss never said a thing or even thanked me. I was laid off two weeks later.
  3. I had a client who had their kid do things and then break them. Then I would fix them and the cycle would repeat. I eventually had to drop them because I was sick of him acting like I’m not worth paying because his kid could do it for free. I felt bad for his wife because she ran the office and knew without me they were in trouble. Kinda her fault for never standing up to him
