WOMAN WANTS TO SIAM HUGE CROWDS, SPENT $70 ON 45-MIN FERRY FROM SG TO JB

When it comes to planning a day trip to Malaysia from Singapore, there are several options available, including land crossings and ferry rides.

A woman in Singapore decided to take a ferry to Johor Bahru instead of crossing the checkpoints so as to beat the huge crowds there.

She posted a video on her TikTok page,m @munzpewpew on 14 June, documenting her journey.

The journey begins at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal in Singapore, where she boarded a ferry to Tanjung Pengelih in Johor, with the ferry ride typically taking around 45 minutes to reach JB.

To embark on this ferry adventure, she purchased round-trip tickets at an approximate cost of S$70 from the Batam Fast counter upon arrival at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.

Upon arrival in Tanjung Pengelih, it’s essential to note that private hire transport options are limited. To overcome this hurdle, she arranged for a private vehicle to pick her up and send her to Johor Bahru city center.

The cost of this private car service is approximately RM200 (S$57.65). The journey from Tanjung Pengelih to Johor Bahru City Square takes over an hour by car, covering a distance of about 110 kilometers.

The woman then went to the southeastern coast of Johor with her friends and visited the Yard and Co cafe, situated about 21km away from where they alighted from at Tanjung Pengelih.

She later took the 4pm ferry back to Singapore that same day.

Ferry Schedule and Ticket Information

Booking Your Tickets

To secure your ferry tickets, you can visit the official Batam Fast website, where two-way tickets are currently listed at S$73 per person. However, it’s important to note that ferry services do not operate daily.

Ferry Schedule

Ferries from Singapore to Tanjung Pengelih are available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with departures at 8:50 am and 5:40 pm.

Return ferries from Tanjung Pengelih to Singapore operate on Fridays (4 pm), Saturdays (7:30 am and 4 pm), Sundays (7:30 am and 4 pm), and Mondays (7:30 am) at fixed timings. Planning your trip accordingly will ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience.

WOMAN BOUGHT $93 SHOES FROM “CHERMAS & KAETH”, THOUGHT IT’S CHARLES & KEITH

0

In a world where counterfeit products abound, unsuspecting consumers can often fall victim to purchasing items that are not what they appear to be.

This is precisely what happened to a woman in China who purchased a pair of shoes from a store she thought was a Charles & Keith outlet.

Little did she know, she had entered a ‘Chermas & Kaeth’ store instead, thinking that it was the original brand.

The incident came to light when the woman shared her story on the popular Chinese social media platform, Xiaohongshu, on 25 June.

She recounted her experience of walking into a store that closely resembled a Charles & Keith outlet, complete with polished grey floors and white shelves.

Trusting her instincts, she assumed it was a legitimate store of the renowned Singaporean brand and proceeded to make a purchase.

After spending 500 yuan (S$93) on a pair of shoes, the woman eagerly tried them on, only to be met with disappointment.

The quality of the shoes felt off, raising suspicions about their authenticity. It was at that moment she realized her mistake—she had unwittingly bought shoes from a “random brand from Guangdong.”

Frustrated and dissatisfied, she decided to pursue a refund from the store.

Aware of the possibility of not receiving a refund, the woman acknowledged that she would consider this unfortunate incident as an expensive lesson learned.

Her post quickly gained traction on Xiaohongshu, attracting attention from fellow users who offered their opinions on the brand.

As expected, opinions on ‘Chermas & Kaeth’ varied among netizens. Some individuals shared similar experiences, having been tricked by the deceptive store with bags that looked strikingly similar to those of Charles & Keith.

On the other hand, some users argued that the brand offered products of decent quality, raising the question of whether ‘Chermas & Kaeth’ was merely an imitation or a brand of its own.

Interestingly, one Xiaohongshu user went as far as considering the existence of ‘Chermas & Kaeth’ as a compliment to Charles & Keith.

In their view, the emergence of imitation brands in China is a testament to the popularity and influence of the original brand.

However, this perspective does not diminish the concerns of consumers who unknowingly purchase counterfeit items, expecting the quality and craftsmanship associated with the original brand.

Upon investigating further, it was discovered that ‘Chermas & Kaeth’ was founded in Hong Kong in 2018. Their official website showcases a wide range of products, including shoes, bags, sunglasses, and various accessories. The price range for their items is listed as 300 yuan (S$60) to 500 yuan (S$93)

S’PORE PR SECRETLY FILMED HIMSELF PIAK PIAK 76 WOMEN WITH HIDDEN CAMERA, JAILED

Johan Wijaya, a 32-year-old Singapore permanent resident, pleaded guilty to multiple counts of voyeurism and was sentenced on 27 June to 8 months imprisonment.

He secretly recorded women during intimate encounters without their consent or knowledge, according to a report by Today.

Johan Wijaya’s voyeuristic activities were uncovered following a thorough investigation where authorities discovered recordings of 76 women who had fallen victim to Johan’s intrusive behaviour.

The victims cannot be named because of a court order protecting their identities.

Among the 76 featured victims was a 25-year-old whom Johan met on a dating app, and they later agreed to meet up a few days later to have intercourse once a week.

Johan ended up with 16 videos of her fully unclothed with her private parts and face visible in the videos.

What happened?

Johan Wijaya employed a calculated approach to carry out his voyeuristic acts. He utilized popular dating applications such as Tinder and OkCupid to connect with women.

After establishing contact, Johan would engage in conversations to determine if the women were open to casual relationships before arranging face-to-face meetings.

Over a five-year period, 76 women became unknowing victims of his voyeuristic activities. The secret recordings captured their most intimate moments without their consent.

Johan Wijaya meticulously concealed his recording equipment within a powerbank charger. Prior to engaging in intercourse with the women he met, he would activate the hidden camera that was inside a powerbank. The powerbank with the hidden camera was bought in 2017 to secretly film the videos.

The powerbank, inconspicuous due to its lack of emitting light while recording, was strategically positioned to face the bed while the victims showered or used the toilet.

The victims only found out that they had been filmed when police seized Johan’s laptop and found a total of 391 videos, with 336 of them being voyeuristic, and featured 76 victims in total.

Johan Wijaya’s admission of guilt led to his sentencing. He pleaded guilty to five counts of voyeurism, resulting in an eight-month jail term. The court took into consideration an additional eleven similar charges during the sentencing process.

Each count of voyeurism carries a potential penalty of up to two years in jail, fines, caning, or a combination of these punishments.

GUY LABELS WOMEN INTO 3 CATEGORIES, MADE FEMALE FRIEND ANGRY

0

A guy shared how he was having a conversation with a female friend where he categorised women into three categories, which made her angry and stormed off.

Here is the story:

“A female friend and I were having a general discussion on romance, intercourse, and dating, etc.

At some point, I (a male) mentioned that as I see it there are broadly three classes of females: those you date/wed, those you hook up with, and those who just don’t catch your eye. In short, love or lust or leave alone.

Things got heated immediately. Said female friend started accusing me of objectifying women.

I protested that this is merely one way among many others of classification, and the same probably holds for men as well.

She demanded I repeat all I said but with women replaced by men – I refused because well I don’t truly know do I?

I did concede that it’s probably true though!…

she stormed away, and we haven’t contacted each other in a week. This whole incident is just so bizarre I can’t get it outta my head – both my innocuous statement and the social justice warrior-esque antics of hers.”

Editor’s note: Maybe she thought you were objectifying her.

GIRLS BRING 53 Y.O MUM GO CLUBBING AT ZOUK, MUM DEFIES GRAVITY ON THE DANCE FLOOR

In a heartwarming and unexpected turn of events, 23-year-old Xin and her mother Xin Qing found themselves embarking on a delightful clubbing adventure. What started as a casual “bo jio” remark from Xin Qing turned into two unforgettable nights of fun and laughter on the dance floor.

Xin recently shared a TikTok video capturing the excitement of their clubbing experience at Zouk Singapore on June 9. The video showcased Xin, Xin Qing, and Xin’s sister Xin Ting dressed in matching outfits, dancing in the club.

Despite the age gap, Xin Qing radiated energy throughout the night. She wholeheartedly embraced the music and danced with an infectious smile that lit up the dance floor.

Xin jokingly wondered if her video captured a mother-and-daughter duo or two sisters immersed in the rhythm of the night.

Xin Qing surprised everyone, including Xin herself, with her incredible flexibility. She effortlessly executed a nearly 90-degree dance move, defying gravity and leaving Xin astonished.

This was not the first time Xin and Xin Qing ventured into the world of clubbing together. Back in February, Xin introduced her mother to the Luxe Nightclub at Pan Pacific Singapore.

Xin Qing embraced the experience with equal enthusiasm, even engaging in a robotic dance-off with a fellow clubber.

“Bojio”

The clubbing adventures all began with a casual remark from Xin Qing. One night, she saw Xin preparing to go clubbing and casually told them “bojio”.

Instead of dismissing the request, Xin promised her mother that she would accompany her on the next clubbing excursion.

Xin shared that her mother thoroughly enjoys dancing, as evidenced by her immense joy on the dance floor. Comparing the clubs of today to those of 30 years ago, Xin Qing noted the increased crowd and the shift to playing more contemporary pop music. She also marveled at the superior sound and laser systems present in modern clubs.

Witnessing her mother’s sheer delight during these clubbing experiences, Xin expressed her intention to bring her mother to more clubs in the future. However, the duo has yet to decide on which club to go next.

GUY ACCIDENTALLY TALKED TO HIS CRUSH LIKE A MAN, RUINED HIS OWN CHANCES

0

A guy shared how he talks to guys and girls differently, and that he talked to his crush like a guy and ruined his own chances.

Here is the story:

“Hi guys, I kinda like this girl. Currently, we are just friends. I think the conversations we have are going pretty well. I think I just messed it up and I need some advice on how to recover.

I think the way I talk with guys is different than the way I talk to girls. I can say pretty much whatever I want with guys but with girls, it is different. With guys, I can call them a dumb moron and we would still be the best of friends.

I accidentally went into the male version of talking to this girl. I did not realise until after a while. I think I was a little cocky. LIn one conversation, I might have said something that would have made me seem like a loser and I might have also said something bad about something she cares about.

I cannot really ask her how she feels because we are not that close yet and it might be awkward. I had put in quite some effort over months to slowly get into the same group as her and work my way to having one on one conversations with her. I think I just messed up the whole thing.

Did I just ruin my chances with her? Do girls remember things like this? How do I recover and make the rs work? Thank you.”

S’PORE IDOL JUDGE KEN LIM FACING 5 NEW CHARGES FOR OFFENCES AGAINST 3 MORE WOMEN

0

Former Singapore Idol judge, 59-year-old Ken Lim Chih Chiang, was previously charged earlier this year for allegedly molesting a 25-year-old woman at his Hype Records office back in 2021.

He has since been hauled back to court on 28 June to face an additional 5 more charges for insulting the modesty of three women.

Lim is currently facing six charges in total involving four alleged victims. The identities of these victims are protected by a court-issued gag order.

Lim’s legal troubles began earlier this year when he was charged with allegedly molesting a 25-year-old woman at the Hype Records office on November 23, 2021. The specific allegation involved inappropriate touching of the woman’s chest through skin-to-skin contact.

In addition to the initial charge, four new charges have been brought against Lim. These charges pertain to incidents that occurred between 1998 and 2013, all taking place in the Hype Records office. These incidents involve three female artistes associated with the record label.

According to the charge sheets, Lim allegedly made suggestive remarks to the artistes regarding their songwriting. In one instance, he asked a female artiste about her virginity, questioning how she could write deeper songs if she lacked experience with intercourse.

Another allegation claims that Lim requested a female artiste to write her “obscene fantasies as homework” while offering himself as a potential partner. Moreover, there are reports of Lim gesturing and insinuating obscene activities when conversing with one of the artistes, suggesting a transactional nature.

One of the charges involves an incident that occurred between 1998 and 1999 at Lim’s home. It is alleged that he showed one of the victims a pornographic video featuring a woman engaging in intercourse with multiple men.

Lim is scheduled to appear in court for a pre-trial conference on July 7.

If convicted for insulting a woman’s modesty, Lim could face imprisonment for up to one year, a fine, or both. In the case of molestation, the potential penalties include imprisonment for up to two years, a fine, caning, or any combination thereof. However, as Lim is above the age of 50, caning would not apply in his case.

GIRL’S MOTHER LIKE TO HIT HER “PLAYFULLY”, GETS ANGRY WHEN GIRL COMPLAINS

0

A netizen shared how her mother likes to hit her playfully and when she complains that it hurts, her mother gets angry at her.

Here is the story:

“My mother likes to hit me playfully (I’m a girl). It happens when she jokes with me or when she’s just happy or whatever but it’s been going on since I was a toddler and she just likes to playfully whack me.

I can tolerate the occasional pokes and jabs but as I grew older and taller she does things that REALLY HURT like smacking me so hard I choke or digging her nails into my back. I’ve begged her to stop but then she gets angry and I’ve tried to whack her back and she gets even angrier.

How do I stop her? Or explain to her? She thinks just because I’m younger and taller and have muscles (I gym) I should be tolerant and every time I tell her to stop she loses her temper at me first and gets angry I’m not playing along with her. She’ll throw things at my head (like sweets or bottled water) and then if I get pissed and retaliate she’ll flare-up.

I’m at my wit’s end. It’s not funny but I’m so f—–g angry at this BS.

And for those of you who may ask it’s just me and my mum, my dad’s out of the picture so there’s no one who can referee the situation.”

Editor’s note: Tell her a joke and start hitting her while laughing to show her how it feels.

GIRL LETS BF GO OUT WITH FRIEND, THEN GETS ANGRY WHEN HE REALLY GOES OUT

0

A guy shared how he asked his girlfriend for permission to hang out with a friend and she said yes, so he went ahead but then she got angry because he went ahead with it.

He then asked whether women mean yes when they say no, and no when they say yes.

Here is the story:

I recently asked my girlfriend if she would be mad if I went out to hang out with a friend. She said no, so I took this as an opportunity to squeeze in some much needed time for myself. I was sure that she would be ok with it, as she always encouraged me to take time for myself and do things that I enjoy.

Little did I know, when I returned home, she was mad at me. I was so confused. I asked her why she was mad, and she said she had changed her mind. I reminded her that she said it was ok for me to go out, but she continued to be mad.

I thought ladies always advocated for “No” means “No”? So, why was my girlfriend mad if she said “No”? I felt like she was sending me mixed signals. I told her that I was confused because she said it was ok, and she told me that it was ok for me to go, but she didn’t want me to.

This left me even more confused. Was she giving me permission to go out and then getting mad at me when I did? Did she not think I would actually take her up on her offer? It felt like she was playing a game with me.

I tried to explain to her that I didn’t understand why she was mad. I told her that I had thought she wanted me to go out and have fun, and that I felt like she was being hypocritical.

I thought ladies always advocated for ‘No’ means ‘No’? So for my GF does ‘No’ mean ‘Yes’? Do I flip everything around?

Editor’s note: I guess its true when they say men are from Mars and women are from Venus.
