GUY BUYS COFFEE WHILE FRIEND ORDERED LOTS OF FOOD, THEN EXPECT HIM TO PAY HALF

0

Not wanting to split the bill?

I am out on a vacation with a friend.. It was supposed to be a 3 day trip. I usually eat only once a day and survive on coffee because of this new diet I’m trying.

He likes to eat in fancy places and everytime we go to a breakfast or lunch place he orders whatever he wants and I just get coffee.

When the times comes for bill he gets one bill and makes me transfer him half the account. It really pissed me off when he ordered almost 30$ worth of food and I just got coffee and had to send him 17$.

I called him out on this today and he called me petty for keeping tabs on small things despite of making 6 figure salary.

Netizens’ comments

  1. That’s not how bill splitting should work and he has to know he is taking advantage.
  2. You pay for what you order. From now on tell the server you’ll be needing two checks, then there is no argument. Just because you have enough money doesn’t mean you need to spend it on him, and he’s not being a good friend by assuming you’d be okay with this.
  3. You should’ve stopped him the first time. Why did you pay?
  4. Do this: as soon as a wait person shows up to take your order, ask “Is is possible for us to get separate checks?” (for 2 people, I’ve never had anyone say “No.”)
  5. Next time don’t get the coffee when he’s with you; pick it up elsewhere. He doesn’t sound very nice. No wonder he needs a fancy breakfast every day—when it’s half price, it tastes better!
  6. YOU are making a 6 figure salary. That doesn’t mean HE gets to have a cut of it.
If you wanna get back at him, next time order something insanely expensive and then split the bill and tell him he’s just being petty for keeping tabs on small things.

PREGNANT WOMAN MISCARRIED & LOST HER BABY, BUT PARENTS ARE HAPPY ABOUT IT

0

My Parents Are Happy I Miscarried

I (24F) miscarried my beautiful baby about 6 months ago. He was unplanned and a product of a failed relationship.

The baby’s father (33M) and I tried to be careful, I took all my shots on time and I saw my gynaecologist often. My parents knew I was active in bed and although they weren’t happy about it, they were fine with it as long as I paid for my own birth control.

Early this year, I was so surprised when I found out I was five weeks pregnant. I told my parents immediately and they were disappointed in me for having a baby out of wedlock but eventually accepted that there was nothing they could do about the situation anyway.

I miscarried a few days after finding out I was pregnant. I felt like a failure. My baby’s father and I were absolutely devastated.

I went to my parents for solace as they experienced the loss of a baby too. All they said was that it was “meant to be” as I wasn’t married yet.

I’m gutted. It just sucks that they were secretly hoping for my baby to die. Or maybe they were relieved that it did. Idk.

Why did marriage matter? I just miss my baby. I just wish I were still pregnant. I wanted to meet my baby and hold him and tell him that we loved him. I’m sorry for rambling. I just don’t understand why people are happy my baby died.

Netizens’ comments

  1. We are sad for you.
As the nurse, I want to make sure that you know none of it was your fault. It was just supremely bad luck. You weren’t being punished, your parents are wrong for thinking the way they did, there’s nothing you could have done to prevent it, and it just wasn’t your fault.
I’m so very sorry that you have to go through this. There are support groups if you feel like you need that.
And I wish you a happy healthy pregnancy in the future if that is what you want. Take care of yourself.
  2. I recently had a miscarriage as well, I was also a few days past five weeks along. I’m sorry you’re going through it too. Please feel hugged
  3. This is heartbreaking, I hope you are able to grieve and move on in peace, you still have a whole life ahead of you

MAN USED A.I TO MAKE LUPSUP PHOTOS OF WIFE’S FRIENDS, THEN USE PHOTOS TO PCC

My(26F) husband (26M) used AI to create obscene pics of my friends.

My husband (26M) and I (26F) have been going through a really rough patch lately. We’ve been trying to open up to each other about our feelings and also talk about poor decisions we’ve made within the relationship.

Last night, he told me that he has gotten swimsuit pictures of my best friends as well as some girls from school, off of social media and used an AI website to remove the clothes. He said he has pleasured himself a few times to these images over the past few years.

He said he knows it is wrong and that’s why he wanted to tell me about it. We’ve honestly gone through so much and I’ve put up such a big wall over the years that I don’t even feel that mad right now. However, I just would like to know how people in marriages would feel about this.

Netizens’ comments

  1. Yeah that’s very creepy and disrespectful to everyone
  2. I’d want a divorce. That’s so messed up I’d plain fall out of love with him.
  3. He’s disgusting. Tell any mutual female friends to delete him and secure their accounts so he can’t access them any more. Honestly, if possible, delete the pictures he has downloaded and created. What an a-hole Don’t stay with him.
  4. In a marriage or not, that is WRONG. You should switch the situation around, and would he be okay with you having AI photos of his friends? This, to me, is another form of cheating. You need to stop and ask yourself if the marriage is even worth it anymore. Idk what all you have gone through, but consider looking at the pros and cons. Maybe that will help with your decision.
  5. That is gross. It is an invasion. It is disrespectful to you and to your friends. It is creepy and weird. I would be not only uncomfortable, but highly offended at this behavior.
  6. Totally creepy and disrespectful to you and your friends. Huge overstep.
  7. As a guy im sorry i have to agree this is weird and gross. Its so gross I NEED a shower and thats based of second hand grossness.

GUY BROKE UP WITH GF & NOW GOT NO MORE FRIENDS OR ANYONE TO TALK TO BESIDES HER

Is it normal to not have friends?

hi all. i’m 23 this year. i just broke up with my girlfriend and while i am happy that she is able to cope well with the breakup by constantly going out with her friends, i cant help but feel jealous too because i have no friends to hang out with or even talk to.

i’m currently studying in uni but I can’t seem to make any real friends in school due to my introvertedness. i often see alot of people my age going out, going on trips together, having fun and trying out new things.

i wished that i could have that kind of social life. i feel so lonely all the time especially after this breakup. is it normal to not have friends?

Netizens’ comments

  1. Normal ah.
I used to have a number of friends. But over the time, also sianz alr. Becoz of various reasons, like personality ah, all kinds of reasons. Now I only have like 2 good friends.
Life is definitely quieter now. But I think can treat it as some form of peacefulness.
  2. There’s 2 questions to ask:
    are your friends worth keeping?
are you a friend worth keeping?
Could be that you do have friends, you just had not been keeping in touch with them.
You can try to rekindle old friendships, if the answer is yes, to both the questions up there.
  3. I am personally quite introverted myself and don’t really go out of my way to make friends. But I am comfortable just lazing around at home because I get enough interaction at work. I guess it’s not an issue if whether it’s normal or not, but whether you are comfortable with it.
  4. Not having friends is definitely stigmatised, but I believe it is the new normal now. I’m 25 this year. Most of my friendships began to shed over time after poly and NS. Friends travel / migrate for prospects outside of SG; friends gotten married and spend more time focusing on family.
Loneliness does come and go, but I’ve learnt to accept and live with it which reduces the intensity a fair bit. Introversion mixed with social anxiety and loneliness is a combination not many will be able to pull through. Humans are social creatures after all. But I’m glad I did on my own.

An 11-year-old girl residing in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia was hospitalized due to severe adverse effects resulting from the consumption of chocolate biscuits prepared by her father, which were suspected to be contaminated with cannabis, according to Channel NewsAsia.

According to official reports, the girl exhibited symptoms including difficulty in breathing, dizziness, and nausea after consuming the aforementioned biscuits. In response, she was promptly taken to Gerik Hospital and subsequently referred to Taiping Hospital for thorough examination and ongoing medical care. These details were disclosed by Perak police chief, Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri, in an official statement released on Tuesday, May 30.

The incident came to the attention of the authorities when a medical assistant from the Lawin Health Clinic in Gerik, located within the Hulu Perak district, filed a report with the police at 10:26 PM on Monday.

Mohd Yusri further conveyed that the girl’s father, who earns a living as a rubber tapper, has been apprehended by the police. S’PORE MUM MAKES SCARED SON KNEEL IN PUBLIC, DAD TRIES TO HELP BUT KENA SCOLD ALSO

0

A netizen in Singapore shared that he was at a food court during lunch hour when he saw a woman publicly humiliating her son by making him kneel down in public.

He said that the boy, who looked like he was in primary 3 or 4, never talked back to his mother and did everything the mother wanted him to do, kneel down as he was told without complaint.

He also added that the father tried to help the boy and told his wife to let the boy eat his lunch, but the father got scolded as well by the woman, as the entire incident lasted for about an hour.

The netizen added that at one point, the boy looked at him in desperation and shame, and the OP wanted to go up and talk to the mother but was advised against it by his friend, who said that he might make things worse.

Here is what the netizen said

Hi while queuing at food court during lunch hour, I witnessed this Mum publicly humiliating her son and made him kneel down to apologize to her while lot of people were walking by.

The boy looked like P3 or P4, never said one word to fight back, did everything the Mum demanded, the way he kneel down looks like he’s done hundred times already. and the Mum was still full of rage, and seemed she can’t stop herself from scolding the boy. She shouted at him very loud, hardly not notice, already disturbing other people who were eating around them. The boy was scared and traumatised.

The dad sat opposite and said something like let boy eat his lunch but the mom started to scold the dad. This whole incident happened for about an hour and I felt like the longest hour in my life.

I know it’s not my business but the boy looked at me by accident and he seemed desperate and deeply ashamed. I wanted go talk to the Mum but my friend said it might make it worse like the Mum feel loose face and go home mistreat the boy even more.

So I didn’t do anything. I know parents have the right to educate their child but to force them to kneel down in public seems wrong to me, might cost psychological scar to this boy all his life. So I would like to know if next time I encounter similar situation should I go interfere or just mind my own business and not care?

2 Y.O TODDLER FELL ON CRACKED PAVEMENT @ SENGKANG & ENDED UP WITH 24 STITCHES ON HEAD

A toddler, aged two, suffered a fall resulting in a forehead injury from the sharp edges of cracked pavement tiles in Sengkang, according to Shin Min Daily News.

The incident occurred near Block 417A Fernvale Link while the child was en route to a nearby playground. The child’s mother, identified as Ms. Guo, a 37-year-old insurance agent, shared with Shin Min Daily News that the fall caused a significant wound on the boy’s forehead, requiring 24 stitches to close.

The accident took place in the late afternoon of May 31, 2023, according to Ms. Guo. She mentioned that her domestic worker had accompanied her son to the playground but returned shortly after the incident occurred.

Ms. Guo was shocked to discover a 2cm-long deep cut on her son’s forehead, revealing the underlying skull due to the severity of the injury. The domestic worker explained that the child stumbled and hit his forehead against the cracked tiles on the pavement.

Promptly, Ms. Guo rushed her son to the hospital, where she received distressing news from the doctor. Due to the child’s phlegm in his throat, administering a significant amount of anesthesia was not possible. As a result, the medical team only applied two drops of anesthesia around the wound before stitching it.

Throughout the 40-minute operation, the child, who remained awake, endured immense pain, causing him to cry incessantly. This was a heart-wrenching experience for Ms. Guo, who felt the pain of each cry as if a needle pierced her heart.

Following the surgery, the child’s temperament changed, losing his liveliness and becoming more temperamental. The medical expenses incurred for the 24 stitches amounted to S$8,400. Additionally, Ms. Guo plans to seek scar removal treatment for her son.

In light of the incident, Ms. Guo is requesting that the authorities assume responsibility for the medical fees and expedite the repairs on the pavement.

In response to queries from Shin Min Daily News, Gan Thiam Poh, Member of Parliament for Ang Mo Kio GRC, stated that the town council had already cordoned off the affected area for repairs. Furthermore, the town council is actively exploring more suitable materials for the pavement and has made contact with the boy’s mother to address the situation promptly.

MAN CAN’T TAHAN THE HEAT OUTSIDE ANYMORE, HIDE INSIDE FRIDGE TO KEEP COOL

During scorching heat waves, many individuals opt for cold beverages or seek refuge indoors with fans or air conditioning. However, an innovative man in Guangdong, China, took a unique approach to beat the heat by casually sitting inside a refrigerator.

As captured in a brief eight-second video shared on Weibo, the incident occurred on May 31 in Guangdong. The footage showcased a seemingly young man comfortably seated on a small pink stool within an empty section of the refrigerator.

Adjacent to him were shelves stocked with beverages, reminiscent of those typically found in convenience stores.

Throughout most of the video, the young man remained engrossed in his phone, only lifting his gaze when he noticed someone recording him.

Upon realizing he had an audience, he smiled, gently nudged the refrigerator door open with his knee, and allowed it to swing shut again.

It remains uncertain whether the fridge was located within a store or if the man was an employee there.

Unprecedented high temperatures in various parts of China prompted this unusual cooling method.

According to reports, Guangdong and other provinces experienced historically high temperatures, with some areas surpassing 35°C. In response, both Sichuan and Guangdong issued their first high-temperature red alerts of the year.

The Guangdong Meteorological Bureau, as cited by Teller Report, predicted that numerous cities would encounter temperatures of up to 37°C in the initial days of June.

Getting through a heat wave

  1. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don’t feel particularly thirsty. Dehydration is a significant concern during hot weather, so aim to consume at least eight glasses of water daily. Avoid excessive intake of caffeinated or alcoholic beverages as they can contribute to dehydration.
  2. Seek Air-Conditioned Spaces: If possible, spend time in air-conditioned environments such as malls, movie theaters, or public libraries. These places provide relief from the scorching heat and help regulate your body temperature.
  3. Create a Cool Home: Keep your living space cool by closing blinds or curtains during the day to block out direct sunlight. Utilize fans or air conditioning if available. If you don’t have air conditioning, consider using portable fans or creating cross-ventilation by opening windows on opposite sides of your home to promote airflow.
  4. Dress Appropriately: Opt for loose-fitting, lightweight, and breathable clothing made from natural fabrics like cotton or linen. Light-colored clothes reflect sunlight better and can help keep you cooler.
  5. Time Outdoor Activities Wisely: If you need to be outside, plan your activities during the cooler parts of the day, such as early morning or late evening. Avoid strenuous exercise during peak heat hours to prevent overheating. Remember to apply sunscreen with a high SPF to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.
  6. Stay in the Shade: Seek shade whenever possible, especially during the hottest hours. If you’re outdoors, use umbrellas, wide-brimmed hats, or sun hats to shield yourself from direct sunlight. This will help reduce your exposure to intense heat.
  7. Take Cool Showers or Baths: Cool down your body temperature by taking refreshing showers or baths. If a shower is not feasible, dampen a cloth with cool water and place it on your neck or forehead to provide instant relief.
  8. Stay Informed: Keep track of weather forecasts and heatwave warnings in your area. Stay connected with local news or weather updates to ensure you’re aware of any safety advisories or recommendations from authorities.
  9. Check on Vulnerable Individuals: Reach out to elderly family members, neighbors, or those with chronic illnesses who may be more susceptible to heat-related issues. Ensure they have access to cool environments and are adequately hydrated.
  10. Never Leave Children or Pets in Hot Vehicles: Never leave children, pets, or anyone else in a parked vehicle during a heatwave. Temperatures inside a car can skyrocket within minutes, posing a severe threat to their well-being.

WOMAN MISSING AFTER VISITING CHIANG MAI ALONE, SUSPECTED TO BE ABDUCTED BY SYNDICATES

0

One of the greatest concerns that parents can face is the unexpected disappearance of their child, regardless of their age. Sadly, this nightmare has become a reality for a distressed Malaysian mother in search of her 22-year-old daughter.

The young woman, who works as a beautician, went missing shortly after embarking on a solo trip to Chiang Mai. It is suspected by netizens that she may have ended up in Myanmar, raising further worries for her safety and well-being.

In an effort to gather information about her missing daughter, the mother took to Facebook and made a heartfelt appeal for any details that could help locate her. She expressed her concern, revealing that her daughter had already been missing for 24 hours. Chiang Mai, a city situated in northern Thailand, was the last-known location of the 22-year-old.

Mum asking for help to find missing daughter

Through her social media post, the distressed mother shared her contact information and urged anyone with relevant information to reach out to her. Describing the last time she had any communication with her daughter, she mentioned that her daughter’s “last seen” status on WhatsApp was at 10 pm on Thursday, June 1. Since then, her daughter has not responded to any messages or shown any signs of activity.

According to the mother, her daughter is always reachable and her phone is constantly by her side. The lack of response and absence of the blue ticks indicating message read status have only added to the mother’s anxiety. Although her daughter is usually busy with work and does not frequently communicate with her, she would never ignore her mother’s messages.

The missing woman, identified as Ms. Angie Chong Sum Yee (张芯仪), is employed by a direct sales company in Kuala Lumpur. Despite her mother’s concerns and advice against visiting Thailand due to safety concerns, Ms. Chong proceeded with her trip to Chiang Mai alone. She reassured her mother that someone from her company would meet her there.

Photo allegedly used on dating platform

Recent suspicions have emerged regarding the whereabouts of the missing woman. A netizen claimed to have come across her, or someone using her photo, on a dating platform. The individual’s location was stated as Myanmar, which has caused the mother even greater worry. Myanmar is known to have criminal syndicates operating within its borders. These syndicates employ tactics such as luring victims into fraudulent investments, turning them into cyber slaves and scammers against their will.

Concerned netizens have joined forces to assist in finding Ms. Chong. One individual provided a photograph of a hotel in Chiang Mai where the missing woman was believed to have stayed. The mother has sought help from friends and relatives in Thailand to gather more information about the hotel. Unfortunately, there have also been instances of fake news circulating on social media platforms. A graphic falsely claims that the case has been closed, but the truth remains that the daughter is still missing. The mother clarified this misinformation on her Facebook page.

To aid in the search for her missing daughter, the mother has filed police reports in both Malaysia and Thailand. She hopes that compassionate individuals will come forward with any information that could assist the ongoing investigation.

KOREAN WOMAN KILLED & CHOPPED UP STRANGER & PUT HER INSIDE LUGGAGE OUT OF “CURIOSITY”

0

In a shocking incident in South Korea, a woman was brutally murdered by an individual who posed as a tuition student. This heinous crime has left the nation in shock and disbelief.

According to reports, the alleged culprit committed this act out of sheer curiosity. The details surrounding the incident are both disturbing and tragic.

The woman believed to be responsible for this gruesome crime has been identified as Jung Yoo-jung, a 23-year-old resident of Busan. Jung had been leading an isolated life since completing high school, although she was living with her relatives at the time of the alleged murder.

She was also pursuing studies to become a civil servant, as per her grandfather’s statements. The revelation of the suspect’s identity has shocked those who knew her and has left the community in disbelief.

Stuffed dead body into luggage

Jung reportedly initiated contact with the victim through a mobile app for tuition services. The victim, a freelance tuition teacher and university student in her 20s, believed she was communicating with the parent of a high school student in need of tutoring. A tuition session was arranged at the victim’s home in the Geumjeong District of Busan on 26 May. It is during this session that Jung arrived disguised as a high school student, successfully deceiving the victim and gaining access to her residence.

Tragically, the tuition session took a sinister turn, resulting in the murder of the victim. After the victim’s death, Jung proceeded to dismember her body, ruthlessly chopping it up. Shockingly, some of the victim’s body parts were later discovered to have been stuffed into a suitcase. Disturbing CCTV footage captured Jung rolling the suitcase through the streets, unaware of the magnitude of her crime and the consequences that would soon follow.

Rather than immediately disposing of the incriminating suitcase, Jung decided to take a taxi to a nearby riverside area. Astonishingly, the cab driver witnessed Jung entering the bushes with the bloodied suitcase and promptly alerted the police. Responding swiftly, law enforcement officers discovered the victim’s body parts discarded in the vicinity. Jung was apprehended on 27 May.

Unveiling the Motive

During the investigation, chilling details emerged about Jung’s motive and planning. It was revealed that she had been planning this murder for an extended period, with evidence suggesting her online activities related to murder and the absence of a corpse.

Jung claimed that her curiosity drove her to commit this horrific act. She allegedly wanted to experience what it would be like to take another person’s life, inspired by books and television shows centered around murder. The police discovered large plastic bags and bleach that support her claims of premeditation.

Following her arrest, Jung appears to display a sense of remorse for her actions. In a statement to the media, she expressed sorrow for the victim’s family. She acknowledged being “out of her mind” during the alleged murder, indicating a level of self-awareness about the gravity of her actions.

Jung’s grandfather, in an interview with the media, issued a sincere apology to the victim’s family, expressing regret for any failures in raising his granddaughter.
