GIRL CAUGHT MAN TAKING PHOTOS OF A SLEEPING WOMAN INSIDE TRAIN

0

I saw a man taking pictures of a sleeping woman on the train.

He was sitting and I was standing by the door, behind him. I accidentally glanced at his phone. He took photos of the sleeping woman opposite of him and edited the photos so only the woman was on them, the window and the other passenger sitting next to her were cropped out.

He then proceeded to send the pictures to someone with a message, but I didn’t see what he wrote. At the next stop the seat next to the woman became available, I sat down next to her, woke her up and discreetly told her what happened. She thanked me.

I felt like I should mind my own business. But also what is this creep will follow the woman and she won’t notice him until it’s too late.

Should I have minded my business? Maybe it was innocent? But no, it was at least inappropriate and actually super creepy.

I’m glad I told the woman but then why do I feel uneasy?

Netizens’ comments

  • no you needed to tell her, that was the absolute best thing to do
  • I feel uneasy just reading this.. you handled it well though IMO
  • When I was 17 an older guy (I think 30s) thought I was asleep on the train and announces to his friend he was gunna take pics of my chest. I was alone, no adult around piped up to say it was wrong, so I did the only thing I could think of: pretended to wake up stretching and “accidentally” punched his phone.
Thank you for informing that woman, that was super shifty behaviour.

SHANMUGAM – IT’S POSSIBLE TO CONDEMN TERROR ATTACKS IN ISRAEL & SYMPATHISE WITH PALESTINIANS

0

The Minister for Home Affairs and Law, K Shanmugam, recently addressed the conflict in the Middle East and expressed that Singaporeans can sympathize with how Palestinians have been treated over the years and still unequivocally condemn the terrorist attacks in Israel.

He was speaking to the media yesterday (12 October) after the Palestinian militant group Hamas attacked Israel on 7 October and killed hundreds, as well as taking in dozens of hostages.

Snippets of Shanmugam’s media interview

Our position on Israel-Palestine, and our support for the Two-State Solution is well known. It has been stated repeatedly.

My remarks on the current situation are directed primarily at the security issues, relating to Singapore.

And I will make two points in that context:

Possible to sympathise with Palestinians and still condemn terror attacks in Israel

One – in no circumstances can we accept any kind of terrorist attack. Hamas’ attack on Israel – attacking and massacring civilians is a massive terrorist attack.

The kidnapping and unjustified murder of children – the acts of cruelty are shocking, and horrifying. And this extreme violence must be condemned in clear, unequivocal terms.

It is possible to hold very strong views on what is happening in the region. It is possible to deplore how the Palestinians have been treated over the years.

It is possible to deeply sympathise with the plight of the Palestinians, and yet still unequivocally condemn the terrorist attacks carried out in Israel. These atrocities cannot be justified by any rationale whatsoever, whether of fundamental problems or historical grievances.

There is going to be a very severe reaction

The second point I am going to make is that there is going to be a very severe reaction. Israel is going to react with its full might.

We need to be clear about our stance – we condemn all acts of terrorism and wanton violence.

But we must not let these events happening externally affect the internal situation within Singapore.

We must, in Singapore, maintain our racial and religious peace.

We have to stay vigilant. Terrorist groups will exploit such conflicts. They have already issued calls for followers to join in a wider jihad against Israel.  There have also been reports of anti-semitic incidents overseas.

Our position has been made very clear over the years.

We act against anyone who promotes or espouses extremism and violence.

S’poreans have been detained before under ISA

We have detained Singaporeans under the Internal Security Act because they fell for pro-Hamas narratives and wanted to fight. One was detained in March 2021 – he wanted to travel to Gaza to fight alongside Hamas, and he also planned a knife attack against Jews at a synagogue in Singapore.

A second person was detained in November last year – he also made plans to travel to Gaza to fight with Hamas, after watching videos online.

But we have also detained individuals who intended to attack Muslim targets in Singapore. For example, a boy who was detained in December 2020 – he made plans to conduct knife attacks against Muslims, at two mosques in Singapore. He was influenced by the Christchurch attack.

So far, we have managed to avoid letting international events like these, destabilise us within Singapore. This is going to be quite a tough period. But our fundamental attitude cannot change. We are all Singaporeans. We have a precious peace within Singapore, we must never let external events affect that.

MAN SAYS HE’S ONLY ATTRACTED TO MALE ROBOTS, NOT WOMEN OR MEN

0

I’m a guy and I have a thing for giant male robots

I started developing this taste ever since I was a kid, I’ve always liked big robots. I never felt attracted to any women or men, though I only feel attracted towards male robots.

Optimus Prime is by far the one I’m most attracted to, he just seems so dominant, his voice, personality and size make me feel extremely attracted to him.

This may sound very weird, but if it was possible, I would like him to get intimate with me.

I never told anyone about this and I don’t plan to, which is I’m posting it here since I don’t have anywhere else to get it off of my chest.

MARRIED WOMAN CHEATS COLLEAGUES AND HER AFFAIR’S PARENTS OVER $880,000

0

In a world filled with complex stories and intriguing characters, the tale of Joceyln Kwek Sok Koon stands out as a shocking example of deception and betrayal. Among other things, Kwek had an extramarital affair with one Lai Sze Yin, leading to a series of fraudulent activities that left many victims in their wake. In this article, we delve into the web of deceit orchestrated by Kwek and her partner, shedding light on their elaborate schemes and the consequences they faced.

The Unlikely Beginning

Jocelyn Kwek’s journey into deception began in 2016 when she crossed paths with Lai Sze Yin. The two met when Lai delivered a parcel to Kwek’s home, and their relationship quickly developed into something more. Little did anyone know that this seemingly innocent encounter would set the stage for a series of elaborate scams.

The Creation of a Fictitious Persona

Kwek, at some point, assumed the identity of “Rachel Lam” as part of her ploy to deceive Lai’s parents. Lai introduced his family to this fictitious character, and Kwek went to great lengths to maintain the charade. She would engage in phone conversations with Lai’s mother, posing as Rachel, gradually earning the family’s trust.

The Elaborate Scams Unfold

The first major scam unfolded when Kwek claimed to need $8,000 to fund her business. To obtain this sum, the couple concocted a plan to deceive Lai’s mother, convincing her that they needed a loan to purchase a car. The elderly woman handed over $9,000, unknowingly falling victim to their scheme.

On October 1, 2017, Kwek and Lai initiated another scam, this time targeting Lai’s father. They proposed an investment opportunity with a bank, promising an attractive 21% interest rate. Eventually, the elderly couple was duped of a staggering $150,454. It wasn’t until October 30, 2018, that they realized the truth and reported the fraud to the police.

Love Scams and Digital Deception

Kwek’s deceptions extended beyond her relationship with Lai. In a separate case, she initiated an online relationship with a 35-year-old male employee at a security firm. Despite never meeting in person, the man fell in love with her. Kwek, to keep up the facade, sent fake images of herself, which were exposed as pictures of a Korean blogger through a reverse Google search. Despite the revelation, the man continued the ‘relationship’ with her. She later duped him of nearly $48,000.

In another incident, Kwek’s 73-year-old godmother entrusted her with over 50 pieces of jewelry worth over $50,000 to be cleaned. However, Kwek pawned these valuable heirlooms for $48,250, betraying her godmother’s trust.

Financial Ruin and Broken Trust

In March, Kwek turned to her husband’s 66-year-old colleague for financial gain, claiming to need money for legal fees to secure an inheritance. She swindled him out of nearly $340,000 and falsely promised to assist him in obtaining Singapore permanent residency. This deceit not only cost the man his job but also left a significant impact on his mental health.

In yet another case, Kwek engaged in a love scam and managed to extract nearly $104,000 from a 39-year-old man. Between October 2021 and April 2022, she deceived a 33-year-old woman out of nearly $180,000, citing various reasons for needing loans, including payment for purported insurance premiums.

Conclusion

The saga of Joceyln Kwek Sok Koon serves as a stark reminder of the depths to which human deception can reach. Her intricate web of scams and deceit affected numerous lives, leaving many in financial ruin and emotional distress. The consequences of her actions continue to ripple through the lives of her victims, underscoring the importance of vigilance and skepticism in today’s digital age.

INSURANCE LADY WORE REVEALING OUTFIT TO CONVINCE YOUNG GUY TO BUY INSURANCE

0

As a young man, I was always aware of the importance of having insurance, but I had never quite taken the effort to actually go out and get it. That all changed when I was visited by an insurance lady wearing a revealing outfit.

I met an insurance agent through a friend and she called me several times before we were able to fix a schedule to meet up. In the meeting, I was surprised to find an attractive woman standing there wearing a tight dress that left very little to the imagination. She introduced herself and said that she wanted to talk to me about getting an insurance policy.

I was shocked and taken aback by her outfit, but at the same time, I felt a bit flattered. I couldn’t help but to think that she was trying to use her looks to get me to buy an insurance policy. But I was curious to hear what she had to say.

The insurance lady began to explain the different types of insurance policies and the benefits that they could provide. She was very knowledgeable and clearly knew what she was talking about.

As she spoke, I couldn’t help but to look at her body. I was mesmerized by her curves and I was starting to feel a bit aroused.

My brain in la la land leh, the ear not hearing anything

After she finished her presentation, she asked me if I had any questions. I asked her why she was wearing such a revealing outfit. She smiled and said that she wanted to make sure that I was paying attention. She said that she thought it would help draw my attention and get me to think about getting an insurance policy.

I was speechless. I couldn’t believe that this attractive woman was using her body to try and sell me insurance. She was definitely pushing the boundaries, but I guess it worked. I ended up buying an insurance policy that day.

It’s been a few months since that day and I still can’t believe what happened. I know that some people may think that the insurance lady was using unethical tactics to get me to buy insurance, but I’m not one of them. In the end, it worked and I am now insured.

I guess you could say that the insurance lady wearing a revealing outfit was a success. I may not have gone out and bought an insurance policy if she had been wearing a conservative outfit. I guess you could say that she was successful in using her body to her advantage.

This experience has definitely made me think twice before turning down an insurance salesperson. You never know what they might be wearing or what they might have up their sleeve.

CRAZY NEIGHBOUR KPKB, TIPTOE WALK THEY ALSO SAY PEOPLE JUMPING

0

My boyfriend and I live on the top floor of an old old condo with only a few units. And nothing we do seems to stop the neighbours from complaining every time we make the slightest noise.

We have done everything I can think of:

  • tiptoe everywhere at all times and never ever wear shoes inside
  • vacuum or clean only once a month (way less than we’d like)
  • limit intimacy to be on the earlier side, or in rooms other than the bedroom
  • have literally 3x those little fabric foot-stoppers on every piece of furniture that might get pulled around or sat on
  • bought about $250 of carpets for the apartment that we would not otherwise have (the only thing I’ve put my foot down on is putting a carpet in the dining room, because I think that would be gross and I’ve already covered the rest of my house in rugs)
  • play our record player or any non-headphone music at minimum volume
  • adjusted our bedtime to try and match theirs (they seem to go to bed at 10pm judging by when the texts arrive)
  • text every time I’m planning to have guests over so they’re aware
  • don’t use the washer/dryer that came with the apt because it shakes the floor and bothers them
  • only play rhythm/dancing games, which I LOVE, when I know 100% that they are gone
  • even though both my BF and I are musicians (violin and guitar), we never play because it’s not worth the angry text we would get

And yet it goes on. They have texted when we sit at the dining room table, when we go to bed, when I get too many texts (apparently they can hear the buzz even though it’s on the kitchen counter), when we take out the trash in the kitchen when I accidentally bump into something in the bedroom. It is making us feel like our only option is to stand still and do nothing.

About a month ago, they played really loud music in the bedroom at 6am (like bumping club music) which we thought was weird but not bothersome. But then, more recently, I dropped the remote in the bedroom at midnight, and the next morning at 6am they started banging on the ceiling right below the bed – not in response to anything we did, obviously, since we were asleep, but it seemed like revenge for waking them up.

It’s true, the walls are thin – I know because I hear their baby crying all the time, and I hear them fighting (though I wish they would enunciate more when they yell at each other, I’m petty like that). I truly sympathize with them, it must really suck to live in such a fragile building that you can hear when people so much as walk around. It’s just that there is nothing more I feel I can do. But I also feel helpless and frustrated that despite the fact that we have never done anything intentionally to bother them, they are now trying to hurt us because of things we can’t avoid.

I have also recently asked the neighbor who lives below THEM if noise is ever a problem for her. Her answer: yeah, they wake me up all the time, but I figure it’s an old apartment and they can’t really do anything about it. Which is the perspective I, my boyfriend, and everyone else I’ve ever known have had about neighbor noise.

What can I do?

S’PORE DIVER KILLED AFTER BEING HIT BY FALLEN STRUCTURE & PINNED UNDERWATER, SUPERVISOR JAILED

0

In a heartbreaking incident, 27-year-old diver Muhamad Firdaus Jasni lost his life due to a fallen structure that pinned him underwater at a jetty.

His supervisor, 49-year-old Koh Chiew Tong pleaded guilty to one charge under the Workplace Safety and Health Act on Thursday and was sentenced to 9 months imprisonment, according to The Straits Times.

The Background

The fatal incident took place on Pulau Sebarok, an island located south of Singapore, back in 2018.

A jetty at Pulau Sebarok had been partially damaged because of a previous collision with a chemical tanker on 23 July 2017, and the damaged parts had to be demolished, with the underwater piles holding the jetty needing to be extracted.

Marine Diving & Engineering were then hired to carry out the work the cut the underwater concrete pile, and Firdaus was part of an 8-men dive team, of which Koh was also a member of, who had to dive to remove the concrete piles.

The day of the incident

On 23 June 2018, Koh told Firdaus to begin installing the brackets for the cutting and lifting of the piles, where the divers had to come back to the surface

The divers were supposed to resurface after cutting each pile, and Koh’s role as a supervisor included making sure that the divers were out of the water first before giving the all-clear signal to lift the pile out of the water and onto a crane.

Regrettably, Koh did not follow these safety protocols. Instead, he instructed the divers to cut the piles without lifting them onto the crane barge, allowing them to continue diving and cutting other piles nearby.

This deviation from safety procedures had dire consequences. Two piles that had been cut were left standing without any support.

The two unsupported piles suddenly collapsed, with one of them striking Firdaus and pinning him underwater. His co-diver, who witnessed the horrific incident, quickly surfaced to seek help.

Firdaus was eventually freed with the assistance of his other dive team members, but it was too late, he was already in critical condition and bleeding from his nose and ears – his face had also turned blue and black on the right side.

He was subsequently conveyed to National University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and died later that same day.

Legal Ramifications

The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) prosecutor, Delvinder Singh, highlighted Koh’s reckless actions as the direct cause of Firdaus’ death.

Koh’s responsibilities as a diving supervisor included ensuring the safety of his team during their work, but he failed in this crucial duty.

His instructions deviated from established safety guidelines, leading to the deceased’s death.

Furthermore, Koh did not ensure that no diver was in the water after the completion of pile cutting work, further emphasizing his negligence.

Company’s Penalty

As a result of the safety lapses that led to this tragic incident, Marine Diving & Engineering was fined $200,000 on October 3, 2023. This penalty serves as a significant reminder to companies and their employees about the importance of adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent such unfortunate occurrences.

STEPMOTHER SAY ‘F YOUR LATE MOM’, WANTS TO TAKE OVER BUSINESS

0

My mom passed when I was 4. I have two older brothers who were 6 and 7 when she passed. Our dad remarried just after my 9th birthday and had two children with his second wife. My brothers and I are 28, 30 and 31 now. And my half-sister recently turned 15. My brothers and I work with our mom’s parents. She set up a restaurant with them before she had us, and our grandparents told us we’ll be the owners eventually. As it is we make decisions like owners.

My half-sister is obsessed with being a chef. She watches all the cooking shows and wants to be famous. Recently, she has started asking if she can work at the restaurant and start to get to know the family business. She said she’d love to take over as head chef one day and her mom could be head waitress. My brothers told her she was getting way too carried away. But she got all excited. She ended up talking to our dad about working for us, he said he was okay with it as long as we were.

We’re not. What it comes down to is this is a business our mom started with her parents for us to take over some day. For our family. And none of us believe she would want our dad’s second wife or our half siblings who are nothing to her working there, and taking such a huge place in it. We know our grandparents aren’t comfortable with it either.

I’m the most gentle out of us three, so I told her that she couldn’t work for us. I encouraged her to find somewhere else to work instead. She asked me why and I told her it was a decision made by those of us who owned/ran the business. She asked me how it could be a family business if we don’t allow family to work there. Then said how her mom should have been asked a long time ago. I told her that wouldn’t make sense since her mom isn’t related to my grandparents, the owners, and that ultimately, it’s my mom’s legacy for her children and how we’re trying to honor that. She said it was dumb and F how my mom would feel when she can’t even speak about it.

My dad and his wife are so pissed we turned her down. They said she is OUR family and that should be what matters. It also brought some bitterness up about dad’s wife not being offered a place at the restaurant years ago. Seems there’s some weirdness because dad had worked alongside mom and my grandparents for a while when they were first married.

2 ESTATES LEFT TO ELDER BRO, YOUNGER BRO GETS NOTHING & NEEDS TO TAKE CARE PARENTS

0

If your parents didn’t leave any inheritance to you, would you still help them provide for them in their old age?

In Anhui, China, an elderly couple left all their property, including two houses, to their eldest son because of partiality. The younger son became very angry and eventually severed contact with his family.

Later, as the health of the two elderly people deteriorated, they hoped that their younger son could help them, but they were refused. The eldest son then uploaded video of the incident to the Internet.

The house is reserved only for the eldest son

Initially, the parents gave one of the houses to the eldest son for his marital home, while the other was a house allocated by the parents’ company. The younger son once thought that he would also get a house after getting married, but his parents refused and said: “We have raised you, the house is ours, and we have the right to decide who to give it to.” This made the younger son Contact with his parents was severed on the spot.

The old man asked his younger son to take care of him

Years later, when the old man’s health began to decline , they wanted their younger son to come home and take care of them . However, the younger son rejected his parents’ request because he could not accept the unfair treatment before. Even until his father died, the younger son did not show up.

Eldest son: “Your parents raised you up”

Now, the mother’s physical condition is also deteriorating, and she has been missing her youngest son, whom she has not seen for many years. Therefore, the eldest son made a special trip to the younger son’s home, hoping that he could go home and take care of his mother together. In the video, you can see the eldest son coming to find the younger son and saying: “Did your mother give birth to you for 10 months? Can you grow up without the support of your parents? You can’t forget your roots as a person. You can go home and take care of you.” You can’t just ignore them for a few days.” He also mentioned that even if you have objections to your parents, you should still fulfill your filial piety.

However, the younger son not only refused to let the elder son in, but also responded coldly at the door: “Whoever owns property should bear the responsibility of providing for the elderly .” He could not bear this responsibility and insisted, “I can’t find parents like that. Accept” .

Netizens support younger son

Out of anger, the eldest son uploaded the video of the argument between the two to the Internet. It quickly became a hot topic on Weibo and triggered discussions among many netizens.

However, most netizens supported the younger son’s approach and said:

  • If you don’t go, your parents should have thought of this outcome
  • If you don’t go, you won’t go, you won’t go. What the old man did is disgusting.
  • This gift is also an unqualified brother. Even if your parents gave you the house, you shouldn’t have both. Family love is priceless. What qualifications do you have to find your younger brother with this gift?
  • These parents are so mean. They treat their own children like this and create conflicts for their children. It’s so unfair.
  • Justice is in people’s hearts. Parents favor the older ones. No wonder the younger ones have opinions. Why are you here if they don’t go?

Do you think the younger son did this right? Or should we repay our parents without grudges for raising them?

PARENTS OF HORRIBLE KIDS WHO THREW BICYCLE DOWN FROM 7TH-FLOOR AMK HDB, APOLOGISE

The peaceful neighborhood of Ang Mo Kio was recently shaken by an incident involving two children.

On October 10, 2023, in the afternoon, an unsettling event occurred at Block 244 Ang Mio Kio Avenue 1. A video emerged online showing the two kids throwing a brick and a neighbour’s bicycle down from the 7th-floor of the HDB block.

Apology and Compensation

Following the incident, the parents of the misbehaving children have since apologised to the owner of the bicycle, as well as offering compensation, according to a resident who spoke to Shin Min Daily News.

The resident also added that the parents have also assured that they will discipline their children.

Police report lodged & police investigating

According to The Straits Times, the police are currently investigating the incident after a police report against the two children had been lodged.

The Ang Mo Kio Town Council also confirmed that they were aware of the incident, and added that they have since removed the broken bicycle from the ground floor of the HDB block, according to Channel NewsAsia.

Recap

An Ang Mo Kio resident had a distressing experience upon returning home, finding her bicycle lying at the bottom of her HDB block at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1.

The incident took an alarming turn when she checked the CCTV footage, revealing that two children, a boy and a girl, were responsible for throwing her bicycle down from the 7th floor.

Found her bike on the ground floor

The resident’s day took an unexpected turn when she came home after sending her children off to school, only to discover her bicycle on the ground floor, in a mangled heap.

What perplexed her was the fact that it had been securely parked on the seventh floor earlier in the day. Realizing that something was amiss, she decided to delve into her CCTV footage outside her home for answers.

Determined to get to the bottom of the mystery, the resident accessed the CCTV footage. What she saw left her astounded. In the video, two children were spotted outside her unit at approximately 1:36 pm, and their actions were far from innocent.

Innocent children or satan spawn?

The video footage revealed two children, a boy, and a girl. The boy was seen carrying a brick, which he ultimately threw down the building.

Afterward, the boy and girl decided to target the bicycles parked in the corridor of the resident’s unit. With a total disregard for safety, they swiftly picked up a bicycle and tossed it off the building, fleeing the scene while laughing.

Horrified at what she saw, the resident questioned that what the kids were doing were “totally dangerous and could have gotten someone badly injured.
