GIRL CRIES BECAUSE OLD PARENTS ALMOST 70, SCARED THEY’LL DIE SOON

0

I hate having old parents, I (21F) have both my parents still with me luckily (M69) and (63F) but I hate that they had me so old.

I’m finally growing into adulthood where I could enjoy their company but they’re old now too. It’s 3:39 am and I’m sobbing because my dad is going to turn 70 soon enough and I’m so scared.

Sometimes I purposely don’t pick up the phone so he will leave me a voice mail I can keep if he passes just in case.

I’m so scared of the future without them. I don’t want to lose my mommy and daddy. I’m just now healing from trauma I had when I was little and I spent years being bitter and wanting away from them but now I just want to hug them forever.

I’m so scared I can’t stop crying..they mean the world to me and they’re the only family I have besides my pets..

I’ve told my mom this before and she said she worried when she was 30 and her parents didn’t die until she was 50 but thats the thing..she had them until she was 50 YEARS OLD.

If I’m lucky mine will be around maybe until I’m 30-35 that’s too young. I want to take them on vacations with me, have dinners, have the life I want them to experience, everything but what if they get too old before that?

What if they see me not get married before then? I’m so scared why do parents have to die? I just want my parents to be in their 50s..I need more time..

SISTER SEDUCED MY BF WHILE I WAS OVERSEAS, NOW HE IS MY BRO IN LAW

0

It was then 2018, and I had just left for a work trip overseas. I had been dating my now ex-boyfriend for about two years and things were going great.

We had plans to move in together and I was so excited to start our future together. Little did I know, my world was about to be turned upside down.

My sister decided to hit on him, and he fell for her

I was gone for three weeks and during that time, my sister, whom I had been close with since childhood, decided to make a move on my then-boyfriend.

I was devastated when I got back and found out he had broken up with me to be with her. It felt like a betrayal of the deepest kind and I was heartbroken.

I immediately cut off all communication with my sister and my ex-boyfriend. I was so angry and hurt that I couldn’t even bring myself to talk to them.

I was also worried about how this would affect our family dynamic and our relationship as siblings.

Suddenly announced that they were going to get married

To make matters worse, a few months later, my sister and my ex-boyfriend announced that they were getting married. I was shocked and couldn’t believe it.

I felt betrayed and hurt all over again and wanted to keep my distance from them.

However, I eventually realized that I needed to forgive them and move on. It was tough but I knew it was for the best if I wanted to move on with my life.

So, I slowly started to rebuild my relationship with my sister and my brother-in-law (my ex-boyfriend).

It wasn’t easy, but over time, I was able to forgive them and accept their relationship. I had to learn to trust them again and be able to talk to them without feeling hurt. It was a long process but eventually, I was able to get past it.

Today, my sister and my brother-in-law are happily married and I’m glad that I was able to forgive them. I’m thankful that I was able to move past this experience and still have a healthy relationship with them.

It’s not always easy, but I’m glad that I was able to do it.

VAN DRIVER IN MALAYSIA INSTANTLY LOST HIS LIFE AFTER ‘RUNNING’ THE RED LIGHT

0

In the early hours of a seemingly ordinary day, tragedy struck on the roads of Jalan Kuala Pilah-Simpang Pertang, Malaysia, as a 27-year-old van driver met with a fatal accident.

The incident, which occurred at 4 am, sent shockwaves through the local community.

The Accident Scene

According to The Star, the accident took place along KM15 of Jalan Kuala Pilah-Simpang Pertang.

The local authorities, led by Jempol police chief Supt Hoo Chang Hook, were quick to respond to the incident.

S. Suganeshwaran, the young van driver, tragically lost his life at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding the accident were perplexing, and an investigation was immediately initiated to uncover the truth.

A Dashcam’s Perspective

One key piece of evidence that played a crucial role in understanding the sequence of events was the dashcam recording from the lorry involved in the accident.

According to Supt Hoo Chang Hook, the recording indicated that the lorry driver had come to a complete stop at a T-junction.

The cautious behavior of the lorry driver was evident as they waited for the traffic light to turn green. Only when the light signaled safety did the lorry driver proceed.

The Fateful Collision

Unfortunately, despite the lorry driver’s adherence to traffic rules and signals, the van driver, approaching from the right, collided with the lorry.

This collision resulted in the tragic loss of the young van driver’s life, leaving the community in shock and mourning.

Initial Findings and Drug Testing

The local authorities conducted a urine test on the lorry driver to rule out any potential substance abuse as a contributing factor to the accident.

The test results came back negative, further perplexing investigators as to the cause of the accident.

Weather and road conditions were reported to be favorable at the time of the incident, eliminating these as potential factors.

Vehicle Inspection and Blood Sample Analysis

To gain a comprehensive understanding of the accident, both the van and the lorry were scheduled to undergo inspection at Puspakom.

This step was deemed crucial in order to ascertain any mechanical failures or issues that might have played a role in the accident.

In the pursuit of further clarity, the blood sample of the deceased, S. Suganeshwaran, was also set to undergo analysis by the Chemistry Department to determine whether any toxicological factors contributed to the accident.

Legal Implications

The case is currently under investigation, and it falls under the jurisdiction of Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

COLLEAGUE FOUND OUT “NEW GUY” HAS 4 TIMES HIGHER SALARY THAN HER

0

my colleague has been with the company for two years, makes 1/4 of what I make for the same job, same title, Same duties, same workload, and I started last week… she’s not happy.

she and I are pretty decent friends, like, she’s a funny girl that likes dog, and I’m just a dude that also likes dog, so, we made fast friends and she’s into the same nerd shit as me, hence why we work a similar job.

I say this so that when I say she was at my house early this morning.

It was 2 am, she was in my house, we were several drinks into a hangout, our friends were talking about the housing market, we started talking about work. She says my house is nice for a dude that works at (insert satanic corporation) and I joke, lightly, “it’s not bad for $75k a year”.

her eyes sunk into a sorta disgusted, kinda pissed look

She asked me if I have two jobs or invest.

I said I invest but it’s all for retirement or emergencies.

She asked me if I make that money at our job

I do.

She said she makes 20k a year or a little more if there’s a bonus one quarter.

It became awkwardly silent between us, it was noticeable because our friends made a comment about it

She asked me if I got a degree

I didn’t, she did

She asked if I have experienced, I don’t

She started cursing every manager, exclaimed hatred for every client.

I genuinely feel equally upset about the situation, because fair is fair, right?

She said she’s gonna address it tomorrow. What should I do?

UNLICENSED WOMAN WHO CARRIED OUT BOTOX PROCEDURES FOR 3 WOMEN CHARGED IN COURT

0

According to an article on the Straits Times, Eleana Lim Chui Xia, a 33-year-old woman, is now facing charges for allegedly injecting Botox into three women without being a registered medical practitioner.

This illegal act not only raises concerns about public safety but also highlights the importance of ensuring that medical procedures are carried out by qualified professionals.

The Allegations

Eleana Lim Chui Xia has been charged with three counts of performing acts as a medical practitioner without proper registration and a valid practicing certificate, which is a direct violation of the Medical Registration Act.

The allegations stem from three distinct incidents, each involving the unauthorized administration of Botox and saline solution.

Incident 1: The Jaw Injection

On December 11, 2020, Eleana Lim Chui Xia allegedly injected a mixture of Botox and saline solution into both sides of a 36-year-old woman’s jaw.

This procedure took place in a unit at 73 Upper Paya Lebar Road.

The consequences of such an unauthorized procedure can be severe, as it poses a significant risk to the patient’s health and safety.

Incident 2: The Calves Injection

Eleana Lim Chui Xia’s second alleged offense occurred on May 18, 2021, at the same location as the first incident.

During this incident, she injected the same mixture into the calves of a 31-year-old woman.

The repeated nature of the offense raises questions about her motivations and disregard for the law.

Incident 3: The Underarms Injection

On July 30, 2021, Eleana Lim Chui Xia is accused of injecting the same mixture into the underarms of a 26-year-old woman.

The Legal Consequences

Performing medical procedures without proper registration and a valid practicing certificate is a serious offense. According to the Medical Registration Act, a person found guilty of such acts can face significant penalties.

This includes fines of up to $100,000, imprisonment for a maximum of 12 months, or a combination of both for a first-time offender.

For individuals who commit this offense a second or subsequent time, the consequences become even more severe.

They may be subjected to fines of up to $200,000, imprisonment for up to two years, or both.

These penalties are in place to discourage individuals from endangering the health and well-being of others by practicing medicine without the necessary qualifications.

MAN WARNS “JIAO LANG” S’POREANS DON’T SHOW OFF IN M’SIA & SAY “WAH EVERYTHING CHEAP!”

0

In recent times, the strong Singapore dollar has led to an influx of Singaporeans flocking to malls in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, in search of what they perceive as “cheap” bargains. However, one TikToker has a few words of caution for his fellow citizens.

Don’t be “jiao lang”

In a TikTok video shared by @sgkakinang on October 31, a passionate voice emerged to address the behavior of Singaporeans who shop in Malaysia. The man’s message is clear: Singaporeans should not be “birds” in Malaysia. What does he mean by this?

The TikToker expressed his concern over the way Singaporeans behave while shopping in Malaysia. He pointed out that they often engage in excessive bragging, saying “cheap, cheap, cheap,” much like the chirping of birds.

Winning the lottery game

In his two-minute rant, the TikToker emphasized that Singaporeans had effectively “won a lottery game” by being born in the prosperous nation of Singapore. He encourages them to be humble about their good fortune. But what is the significance of this “lottery game”?

Winning the lottery game, in this context, refers to the advantages that Singaporeans have due to their strong currency and economic stability. While this may lead to great shopping deals, is there a moral obligation that comes with it?

Humility in Prosperity

The TikToker’s message is clear: Singaporeans are not “saving” the Malaysian economy by spending money there. Instead, they are helping themselves.

The exchange rate, as of November 1, stands at RM3.51 to S$1, prompting many Singaporeans to revel in the “cheap” shopping opportunities just across the border. But is this enthusiasm leading to unintended consequences?

One of the driving factors behind this shopping spree is the strength of the Singaporean dollar. Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, the GIC, and the government’s prudent economic policies have contributed to the remarkable rise of the Singaporean dollar.

Apart from being perceived as insensitive to Malaysians’ feelings, this “birdmen” mentality can have other negative consequences. The TikToker suggested that the excessive boasting may lead to store owners increasing their prices.

SURVEY SHOWS SPORE’S RICH ARE UNHAPPIEST IN ASIA WITH WORK-LIFE BALANCE

0

According to an article seen on the Straits Times, a survey conducted by Switzerland’s Banque Lombard Odier & Cie said that Singapore’s wealthy individuals are the least satisfied with their current work-life balance in comparison to their peers in other parts of the Asia Pacific region.

Only 30 percent of individuals with investable wealth exceeding $1 million in Singapore reported being happy with their work-life balance, which is the lowest among high net-worth individuals surveyed in the region.

Thailand ranked the highest

In contrast, Thailand ranked the highest in terms of satisfaction with a work-life balance, with 72.7 percent of respondents expressing contentment, followed closely by Australia.

The lower satisfaction of Singapore’s millionaires can be attributed, in part, to the amount of time they spend at work.

Survey shows that 26 percent of Sporeans work overtime

The survey revealed that 26 percent of Singaporeans often work overtime, and the nation has the longest working hours per week (45 hours) among 10 places in the Asia Pacific region.

Despite the current state of work-life balance among Singapore’s wealthy, there is a perception that the younger generation may shift away from the “work is life/life is work” mentality as Asia faces a significant wealth transfer in the near future.

The Lombard Odier report is based on surveys conducted with over 460 high-net-worth individuals in Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Australia between May and June.

LOCAL MAN THINKING TO RENT A HOME IN JOHOR AND WORK IN SG TO SAVE MONEY

0

I feel fed up staying in sg.. Do I really hv to rent a unit in Johor and travel to work everyday in order to stay comfortable? Recently I just move out from previous house bcoz the landlord increase rental. This current house owner is old lady, now I know why ppl say never rent from old people.

She has more restrictions from my previous house but I endure it all coz i wasn’t happy at previous house already. First she say just keep clean and no cooking, dry clothes inside room.. etc I’m fine with these restrictions coz her rent is way cheaper and it’s just next block from my previous house easy for me to move, even tho i used to cook a lot. Her kitchen microwave, air fryer, boil water all cannot use.

Then only decided to move in realize she got no shower heater, I accept it too coz it’s too late to change mind. She say can eat at her dining table as long as wipe the table clean. But once I wanted to use her dining table she change her mind and say cannot coz scared I didn take care properly and scratch her table when eating. Then fine I eat inside room.

My room door also got holes above the door, I covered it with soundproof foam coz i know sg house soundproof is super bad, with these holes ofcourse outside can hear noise(I’m staying with bf btw), at first she say cannot put that thing hv to take off, coz scare I cook inside room and ppl complain report police she will get penalty, I’m not that stupid and crazy to do heavy cooking inside room ok, then she say can paste as long as no cooking. But 2days later she change her mind again knock my room door and say cannot coz it’s against the law, like what😑

Are all old ppl like this? First say can then change mind? I’m only here for 2weeks+ and i already feel annoyed, she doesn’t know how to text so everytime she will knock my room door and disturb me and keep explaining all the same restrictions over and over again. Already tell face to face, she will still send whatsapp A LOT of voice text( if u know how old ppl send voice long and spam kind) during my work, it’s really disturbing my work coz i will feel like what did I wrong to receive so many messages then turns out it’s the same thing that already said.

I feel no privacy at all bcoz everyday hv to watch when she will come knock and say the same thing or give more restrictions that doesn’t state in contract. She is so afraid of tenant cooking inside room like I don’t hv common sense she dont even give me room key, my room feels so vulnerable with the holes and door unlocked.

And she also forgot how much she charged my rental. When I pay first month rent she was like “huh $850 only? Didn I charge u $900?” luckily got contract black and white. And also she always blame things on her son like before move in she say can come move in earlier than stated date coz she’s very easygoing person then next day tell me her son say by law cannot move in early.

The soundproof thing also, her son is actually chill with it said its ok, but when she knock my door to tell me take off she say again her son say cannot coz against the law. I’m starting to think her son never say all these she just wanna blame it on her son to make her less kiasu. Restrictions mentioned before I can comply bcoz already aware during sign contract, it’s just it’s annoying she always changed her mind and I never can expect what i can do and cannot do. Actually I hv more to rant but it’s gonna be too long essay and not to mention this all just happened within my stay in 2weeks

GUY’S FAMILY FAVOURS DAUGHTERS MORE, SONS TOLD TO SAY “YES SIR, NO SIR”

0

My family favors the daughters more then their sons.

My parents had 4 children 2 sons and 2 daughters, they favored the women in the family, my oldest sister was taught how to drive.

But my brother and I were not the same as my sister, they forced the military mentality onto us, it was yes sir this and yes sir that.

And if we didn’t do what my father said he would get extremely angry and start throwing things and hitting us.

And when my brother and I hit the age of 16, we were neglected, my brother and I became dropouts later on.

I was 14 and my brother was 16 at the time and they just stopped we just basically became free labor for them and still are now.

My youngest sister is 12 years old and they treat her like she a angel even though she spoiled and disrespectful to her mother.

My brother and I have been through hell and back together and we plan on leaving together and never looking back.

I honestly feel jealous of other teenagers because their parents actually try for them.
