BROKE GF NO MONEY STILL WANT GO DRINK, END UP DRUNK, MISSED WORK & GOT FIRED

0

Girlfriend got fired from work and I don’t give AF I’m actually glad.

A few nights ago my girlfriend tells me she’s going out to grab drinks with her friend. I mentioned to her how she was on a diet and was suppose to avoid alcohol and certain foods for her health and that it was already getting late.

She pretty much blew off what I said and went with her friend. She then texted me she was going to the bars/ club with them as well.

I stressed to her that it is a Tuesday and that she has work at 5am and that she’s already tight financially and it probably would be the best idea.

She again blew me off and went anyways. Well she got drunk and stayed out extremely late and left her keys with her friend who got drunk and she missed work.

She got a text today saying she’s fired. I can’t help but not give a f because I tried to warn her and save her but she’s grown and made the decision.

I feel like I should feel sympathy but I can’t. Now I have to carry a heavier load financially for her because of her poor decision making.

Netizens’ comments

  1. Some people learn and mature the hard way. I sure AF did.
  2. Sorry that happened to you. Good news is you aren’t married so if this turns into a regular thing you have an easy out. I’m not saying dump her over one mistake but you do need to analyze if these type of behaviors are part of a pattern. If you start seeing a pattern either she needs to express an independent desire to work on herself or you need to leave because when people go down this path they will drag you down with them.
  3. No, someone could argue that you are completely fine for feeling cuz you did your best and warned her but she did at her own risk. Goodluck until she finds a job bro
  4. Honestly, if I wasn’t in too deep in this relationship this would be grounds for leaving. If i was in deep this would be a serious reconsideration.
Tells you a lot about who she is as a person, and that she doesn’t value your input or feelings.
Tells you what she doesn’t see as important and tells you what she does and those aren’t good for longevity and aren’t good for you to subject yourself to.
If it’s a one off thing then cool, if it happens even once more, She needs to be done.

MAN REFUSE TO PIAK PREGNANT WIFE CAUSE GOT BABY IN HER TUMMY, WIFE NOT HAPPY & LEFT

0

My [26M] wife [28F] walked out because I wouldn’t sleep with her while she was pregnant

My wife and I have been together 5 years, married 2, and expecting our first child. We’ve been trying for over a year so we were over the moon when we found out she was pregnant. She was a little nervous about her body changing but I assured her that I would always find her beautiful inside and out.

During her first trimester she felt sick all the time and as a result intimacy was almost non-existent. I didn’t complain about the lack of intimacy during this time because I knew she couldn’t help it. A few weeks into the second trimester things turned around though and she started trying to get intimate with me.

This is where problems arose. She was starting to show at this point which made it impossible to deny that there was a little baby in there.

I couldn’t stay hard because I felt like we were doing it right in front of the baby. She was understanding at first (I have had ED issues in the past and she has always been kind and never shamed me for it) and she suggested we do hand stuff and oral instead.

However I explained I didn’t feel like doing anything obscene with the baby in the room. She said the baby was the size of a grape and didn’t have a brain yet but I told her it wasn’t about logic, I just felt gross and I couldn’t enjoy it.

Over the next few weeks she kept trying to initiate and I kept turning her down. I started to get a little annoyed by the second week of this because she knew very well how I felt about it yet kept asking.

Last night when I turned her down once again she blew up at me and said she never would have married me if she thought I was the kind of guy to lose attraction to his pregnant wife while she’s carrying his child. I tried to explain that I’m still attracted to her but she didn’t listen, she packed a bag and went to her parents’ house.

I got a text from my brother in law a few hours later asking if I’m ok and what happened so I guess at least she hasn’t been spinning a negative story about me to my in laws. I haven’t responded to the text though. I’m confused and heartbroken our marriage might end over something so trivial.

How can I get her to understand that I really am still attracted to her?

GF SCARED TO GET PREGNANT, ASK BF WEAR 2 “HELMETS” FOR TWICE THE PROTECTION

0

My girlfriend (18f) wants me (19m) to wear two condoms, but has said she will never go on birth control.

The other day my girlfriend and I were talking about our bedroom activities as we often do, and our want to do it, and we began talking about protection and anti baby measures.

She said she would not want to be and will not ever be on birth control. And that protection will basically be 100% on me, since the only reason she would get pregnant is because of, you guessed it: me.

I didnt care very much at first since I was planning on wearing a condom anyway so we don’t become young parents.

But she then tells me that one isn’t gonna cut it, and that I needed to wear two (or more) if I wanted to ever sleep with her. Which I thought was harsh and hypocritical.

I know I would be the reason she would be getting pregnant if I failed to use protection, but Im not the only one who wants to F. She arguably wants to do it more than I do.

I told her I thought she was being harsh and hypocritical, and she said she wasnt. She was only trying to “protect her body and future.” I said alright, and that if thats what she wants to do then we should just stick with hand stuff and oral until shes ready to discuss it again.

Am I wrong in thinking it’s unfair that she wont get on any birth control and wants me to be the only one who uses protection?

Should I just do what she says and not press the idea of getting birth control any further? This isnt a matter thats gonna break the relationship over, its just an annoyance that occurs when we talk about it

Netizens’ comments

  1. Two condoms will result in condom failure. The friction can cause them to break.
You can have PIV, but the efficiency of condoms in typical use is in the 80s% iirc
To be more safe, you could use condoms and track her cycle together to minimize her fertility if you decide to have PIV.
  2. Using 2 condoms runs a very high chance of one or both ripping. It doesn’t sound like she’s ready for this next step.

KOPITIAM STAFF STOPS CUSTOMER DRINKING FROM OWN BOTTLE, SAYS NO OUTSIDE FOOD & DRINKS

0

A coffee shop along Queenstreet has come under scrutiny for allegedly stopping a diner from drinking water from her own bottle despite the woman having bought food from their establishment and finishing the food, according to Shin Min Daily News.

The incident occurred when a 62-year-old woman, Ms. Chen, visited the coffee shop to have a meal and wanted to take her medicine with water. This unexpected encounter has left her feeling confused and frustrated.

An Unpleasant Surprise

Ms. Chen had just finished her meal and needed to swallow her medicine. Like many people her age, she often needs to take medication when she goes out.

She had brought her own bottle of water to the coffee shop and intended to drink from it to aid in swallowing the medicine. However, as she was about to take a sip, a staff member allegedly stopped her from doing so.

Understandably perplexed, Ms. Chen questioned why she couldn’t drink still water from her own bottle. She expressed her confusion, stating that she had visited this coffee shop several times before and had never encountered such a situation.

As an elderly individual, she relies on carrying her own bottle of water wherever she goes.

It was later revealed that the coffee shop has been enforcing a policy against outside food and drinks for a considerable period. Signs reminding patrons not to bring their own food and beverages were prominently displayed within the premises.

The drinks stall owner clarified that staff members have consistently reminded diners not to place their water bottles on the table.

The owner of the coffee shop explained the rationale behind their strict policy. Unlike a hawker center, the coffee shop is privately owned, and expenses such as rent and employees’ salaries need to be accounted for.

To maintain control over costs, the establishment prohibits diners from bringing in outside food and beverages, including plain water.

The owner acknowledged that some elderly customers might require plain water when they are taking their medicine and in such cases, the coffee shop readily provides plain water free of charge upon request.

26 “KINGS OF THE ROAD” TIO SAMAN FOR BREAKING CYCLING RULE ON GROUP SIZE

0

In a recent enforcement operation conducted by officers from the Traffic Police (TP) and the Land Transport Authority (LTA), a total of 26 cyclists were fined for breaching the rule on cycling group size. The operation took place from June 24 to July 8, as stated by TP and LTA in a joint statement released on Friday.

Understanding the Cycling Group Size Rule

Cyclists who ride in groups are required to adhere to the rule on group size to ensure the safety of all cyclists and road users.

According to the rule, cyclists riding in two rows are limited to a group of 10, while those riding in a single file are limited to a group of 5. Failure to comply with this rule can result in a fine of $150.

Increased Fine Amount and Other Offenses

The fine amount for cyclists who violate the rule on group size was increased to $150 starting from January 1, 2022. This amount is double the previous fine of $75.

Apart from breaching the group size rule, cyclists can also receive the same fine for other offenses, including beating the red light, riding on expressways, or riding abreast of another cyclist along single-lane roads and bus lanes during the bus lane operational hours.

Education Outreach and Safety Measures

In addition to issuing fines, the TP and LTA officers also conducted education outreach programs to raise awareness about cycling rules and guidelines.

These efforts are aimed at ensuring that cyclists understand and abide by the rules to promote their own safety and the safety of other road users.

Senior Assistant Commissioner Daniel Tan, the commander of TP, emphasized the importance of these enforcement operations, stating, “Cycling rules are put in place to ensure the safety of all cyclists and road users.” The TP has made it clear that they will continue to carry out enforcement operations against errant cyclists.

Guidelines for Cyclists

To promote safe cycling practices, TP and LTA have provided the following guidelines for cyclists:

  1. Obey all traffic signals and travel in the same direction as the flow of traffic.
  2. Wear a helmet when cycling on roads to protect yourself in case of accidents.
  3. Ride close to the far left edge of the road and allow traffic to overtake you safely.
  4. Cycle in a single file on single-lane roads and on bus lanes during operational hours.
  5. When riding in the dark, switch on a front-white light and a rear red light to enhance visibility.
  6. Utilize designated bicycle lanes when available instead of using other parts of the roadway.
  7. Avoid using mobile devices while cycling to maintain focus and minimize distractions.
  8. Refrain from cycling on expressways, road tunnels, or selected viaducts such as the Tuas viaduct.

FIRE ON-BOARD TANKER @ TANAH MERAH, 40 FIREFIGHTERS DEPLOYED TO FIGHT FIRE

0

Last night, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) swiftly responded to a fire incident on a vessel anchored off the southeast coast of Singapore, near the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.

Upon receiving the alert at approximately 9:35 p.m., four SCDF marine firefighting and rescue vessels, accompanied by around 40 marine firefighting specialists from Brani and West Coast Marine Fire Stations, were immediately deployed to the scene.

Equipped with water jets, they focused their efforts on the two accommodation decks where the fire had been confined.

Prior to SCDF’s arrival, the crew of the vessel had taken proactive measures by setting up three water jets to cool the exterior of the ship.

This technique, known as boundary cooling, aims to reduce the temperature of the vessel’s metal structure and prevent the fire from spreading further.

Additionally, two water jets were used to control the fire until the SCDF’s marine firefighting team took over the operation.

The firefighting operation proved successful as the flames were fully extinguished. However, the damping down process, which involves applying water to wet the burnt surfaces immediately after extinguishing the fire, continued until approximately 5:00 a.m. today.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries during the incident, and all crew members of the affected vessel have been accounted for. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the relevant authorities, who will determine the factors that led to the incident.

WOMAN CROSSED ROAD BLINDLY WITHOUT LOOKING, HIT BY CAR THAT DIDN’T GIVE WAY

A video emerged online showing a woman crossing a zebra crossing without looking and being knocked down by a car that failed to give way, prompting discussions from netizens over who is the one at fault in this situation.

The accident

On the evening of July 12, at approximately 6:30 PM, a car collided with a pedestrian at a zebra crossing in Bendemeer.

The incident was recorded and shared by a netizen on the SG Road Vigilante (SGRV) Admin Facebook page. The footage depicted a car approaching the zebra crossing while a woman was in the process of crossing the road.

Despite the presence of a pedestrian on the zebra crossing, the car did not show any intention of slowing down or stopping.

It continued to approach the crossing at a relatively slow speed, failing to yield to the pedestrian’s right of way. The lack of awareness from the driver became evident as the car collided with the pedestrian, knocking her onto the ground.

However, the woman was also visibly crossing without looking out for traffic, focusing only forward despite the car inching slowly towards her.

Following the collision, concerned passers-by rushed to the aid of the injured pedestrian. The camcar footage captured the driver of the car promptly exiting his vehicle to check on the victim.

The incident quickly gained traction on social media platforms, particularly Facebook, as netizens shared the video footage.

Netizens’ comments

  1. Not to say the driver is not wrong, but at least the pedestrian look first before cross leh
  2. One bo chap to look for oncoming vehicle while crossing zera to make yourself more safe while crossing, the other is totally day dreaming.
  3. I wish I had the same confidence in life as these people crossing the road. Not even a glance to check, just walk on through.
  4. I have seen many drivers everyday multi tasking.. usually one hand on steering the other hand fingering the phone
  5. The car driver is definitely wrong, but they might be distracted due to many reason … as pedestrian, the car dun stop, u dun cross. After all safety first
  6. When pedestrian thinks it is always safe to cross a zebra crossing without checking. Must always remember, even the red light has been beaten by multiple road users, how safe can a zebra crossing be?

MAN CAUGHT STEALING $368 OF DURIANS @ YISHUN STALL, OWNER: “CONTACT ME OR I GO TO POLICE”

Famous Durian, located at Block 848 Yishun Street 81, took to Facebook to shed light on the unfortunate incident.

The stall posted an image of a man, dressed in a dark-colored jacket, carrying two plastic bags filled with durian boxes. They claimed to have identified him and notified his supposed employer.

The stall demanded that the alleged thief come forward and admit to the theft. Failure to comply by 12th July, 10pm would result in the stall filing a police report.

Another post mentioned the existence of video evidence supporting their claims, and in another update the stall said that they will be reporting the matter to the police the next day.

2. The Circumstances of the Theft

According to the stall owner, the theft occurred at approximately 9:30 pm on 11th July. Typically, the stall relied on their own drivers for deliveries, but this particular order involved multiple locations, necessitating the use of an external courier service, according to 8world News.

The first assigned delivery person arrived significantly late, prompting the stall to cancel the request and hire a second deliveryman.

When the person seen in the CCTV footage approached the stall, he allegedly identified himself as the delivery person and was entrusted with eight boxes of Musang King durians worth S$368.

It was only when the actual second deliveryman arrived that the stall staff realized something was amiss. The customer who was supposed to receive the durians also contacted the store later, stating that the delivery had not been made.

3. Losses and the Search for Justice

The owner of the stall estimated that the total losses from the theft, including the additional S$27 delivery fee, amounted to S$395.

Frustrated by the incident, he informed the delivery company of the theft and demanded action.

Simultaneously, through their Facebook posts, the stall implored the alleged thief to accept responsibility and return what was stolen.

Update: Famous Durian said in an update on Facebook that Lalamove had reached out to them and compensated them for the stolen durians, and they will be letting the matter rest.
