CB MOTORCYCLIST RODE AGAINST TRAFFIC & CAUSED 64 Y.O RIDER TO FALL OFF BRIDGE & DIE

0

A 41-year-old motorcyclist in Malaysia who rode against the flow of traffic and caused another elderly motorcyclist to fall off the highway and plunge 30 metres to his death, has since turned himself in to the police.

Superintendent Mohd Azam Ismail, the Ampang Jaya district police chief, stated that after turning himself in, the 41-year-old food vendor from Kajang, Selangor, provided his statement at the Kajang police station.

What happened?

On the Sungai Besi Ulu Kelang Highway (SUKE) near Ulu Kelang, at Km22.2, on June 14, the Ducati Panigale rider, Ahmad Fadzil Omar Azzadin, 62, was thrown off an elevated highway while trying to avoid a motorcyclist riding against the flow of traffic at 1:05 p.m.

Reports indicated that Fadzil was maneuvering through a bend when he swerved to avoid the oncoming motorcyclist. Subsequently, he collided with a divider and was propelled 30 meters down the elevated flyover. Sadly, Fadzil was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Azam, statements have been obtained from six individuals, including the suspect involved in the accident. The suspect claimed that he had become lost while traveling from Ampang to his residence in Kajang. As a result, he chose to access the SUKE flyover against the traffic, which led to the fatal accident.

“In the course of the collision, the suspect was also thrown off his motorcycle. Following the incident, the suspect returned home and only became aware of the accident after seeing it on the news and social media,” Azam stated in a released statement.

Suspect not arrested yet because he was injured as well

The suspect sustained multiple injuries, including a broken right shoulder, a fractured pinkie finger, as well as injuries to his left shoulder and right leg. As a part of the investigation, authorities have seized the suspect’s Yamaha motorcycle and certain items for further examination. Due to his injuries, the suspect has not yet been arrested.

Both motorcycles, belonging to the victim and the suspect, will undergo thorough inspection at the Computerised Vehicle Inspection Centre (Puspakom) and the Chemistry Department.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

MAN SAYS HE IS GOING BLIND BECAUSE HIS PARTNER HAS HERPES

0

Um so basically I just got told by my ophthalmologist that I have eyeball herpes…,,,,?! ???? I didn’t even know that was possible lmao. it looked kinda weirdly pretty when magnified on her screen… like a florescent green constellation floating across my cornea…

Then I found out that herpes simplex keratitis is a major cause of blindness worldwide ????????

Anywhos.. am I now morally obliged to tell future partners I have herpes??? No idea if I have type 1 or type 2 and I have no other symptoms.. but it’s super common right? Like >70% of the population has type 1 and like >15% has type 2? Helppp I’m too young to be blind AND have to live in a nunnery BIG STRESS My mind was spinning. I just got told by my ophthalmologist that I had eyeball herpes… and I was in complete shock. I had no idea that was even possible. To make matters worse, she showed me a magnified image of the virus on her screen and it looked oddly beautiful. It was like a fluorescent green constellation floating across my cornea.

But then I found out that herpes simplex keratitis is actually a major cause of blindness worldwide. I was so overwhelmed with fear. Would I go blind? How did I get it in the first place? And most of all, would I have to tell my future partners that I have herpes?

I did some research online and found out that, indeed, it is very common. About 70% of the population has type 1 and another 15% has type 2. That was a relief, but I still had no idea what type I had. I had no other symptoms and all I knew was that I had to be extra careful with my eye health from now on.

So I decided to take the proactive approach. I started looking into ways to reduce the risk of blindness caused by herpes simplex keratitis. For starters, I began wearing sunglasses whenever I went outside. This would help reduce the risk of getting UV damage to my eyes, which can increase the risk of getting herpes. I also started taking lysine supplements, which are known to help reduce the frequency and severity of outbreaks.

I also made sure to practice good hygiene. I started washing my hands more often and wearing protective eye wear when doing activities like swimming or taking showers. Additionally, I made sure to avoid sharing cosmetics and contact lenses with other people, as this can increase the risk of getting herpes.

Finally, I made an appointment with my eye doctor for a regular checkup. During the appointment, he checked for any signs of the virus and prescribed me with antiviral ointments and drops to help reduce the risk of blindness.

Even though I still don’t know what type of herpes I have, I’m doing everything I can to keep it under control

INTERN WITH NO EXPERIENCE DEMANDS $6,000 SALARY

0

25F working as a sec/dev for multiple cloud service providers.

Recently there was an intern who joined us two months ago only. First time working and no experience.

I’ve heard around he’s been demanding to earn the same pay scale as us ($5k-$6k) and It’s very ridiculous because 1, during the two months he has been with us, he has done nothing and I’ve seen him go for multiple few hours tea breaks. 2, He has no foundation knowledge in the cloud service provider.

I myself have worked my ass up since I was 17 working as an intern ($600), With my first full time paying job at $1800. Now it took me almost 6 years of hard work to get to a paying job of $6k.

Seriously, Youngsters need to know company will NOT consider you just because you have a elite UNI Degree Certificate but will pay u hefty for your work experiences! So don’t get your hopes up of earning $5k straight out of uni.

So as you can see, it is not an easy job and it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to be successful. It is not something you can do just by reading a few books or watching a few tutorials. You need to be able to learn quickly and think on your feet.

As per my knowledge and experiences, the average starting pay with NO experiences and UNI cert is about 3k-3.5k.

If your answers to their questions are not something that reflects that you can earn a good amount of money, they show quick signs of losing interest to carry the conversation further.

9. The boring girls. Bios are usually short and boring. Their replies lack effort and substance, even if they write on their bios that they “love deep conversations”.

2 SUNS SPOTTED IN HK SKY, EXPERTS CAN’T EXPLAIN THE STRANGE PHENONENON

0

Have you ever witnessed something so extraordinary that it left you in awe? In a recent occurrence at the Hong Kong airport, an individual had an unexpected encounter with not just one, but two suns adorning the evening sky.

The incident purportedly took place at the Chek Lap Kok airport in Hong Kong, according to Hong Kong 01.

The captivating sight perplexed both netizens and experts, giving rise to various speculations and theories about this fascinating phenomenon.

As the sun began its descent, casting a golden hue upon the airport, a keen observer in Hong Kong couldn’t resist capturing the mesmerizing scenery through the lens of their camera.

Little did they know that their routine act of photography would uncover a celestial spectacle beyond their expectations.

Amongst the collection of snapshots, one particular image stood out from the rest—two suns shining side by side.

The photograph, shared on Facebook by Ka Kin Fong on June 15, displayed an extraordinary occurrence in the sky—a perfect alignment of two radiant, orange spheres.

Though seemingly identical at first glance, subtle disparities set them apart. The lower sun boasted clearer edges, while its celestial counterpart appeared slightly blurred and less luminous.

Intrigued by the unusual phenomenon, the photographer speculated that the presence of “water vapor in the air” might have contributed to this captivating sight.

However, with only a single image capturing the dual suns, experts sought to unravel the mystery behind this rare occurrence.

News of the photograph spread rapidly, drawing the attention of experts and netizens alike. Mr. Liang Rongwu, the former assistant director of the Hong Kong Observatory, expressed his astonishment, confessing that he had never encountered such a spectacle before.

Despite his experience, he found it challenging to provide a definitive explanation for the occurrence.

While the phenomenon remained shrouded in mystery, curious netizens offered their own conjectures. Some proposed that the phenomenon could be attributed to a technical glitch or lens issue in the camera used to capture the image.

Others speculated that it might be a result of clever photography techniques employed by the individual. However, these theories lacked substantial evidence, leaving room for continued fascination and curiosity.

$100K OF CPF SAVINGS LOST IN SCAM WHERE USERS TRIED TO BUY CHEAP DEALS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

0

A number of Android users fell victim to scams involving malware, resulting in the loss of $99,800 from their Central Provident Fund (CPF) savings.

The police have issued a warning about these fraudulent activities, highlighting the need for caution while engaging with advertisements and downloading files on social media platforms.

How the Scams Were Executed

The victims encountered enticing advertisements promoting groceries, particularly seafood, on various social media platforms, including Facebook. Eager to make a purchase, they contacted the businesses through social media or WhatsApp.

In response, the scammers provided the victims with a URL to download an Android Package Kit (APK) file. APK files are designed for Android’s operating system and are typically used to install applications from third-party sources.

It is important to note that apps or APK files downloaded from the Internet or third-party sources can contain phishing malware. Unfortunately, the victims were unaware that the seemingly harmless application they downloaded contained malware.

This malicious software enabled the scammers to gain remote access to the victims’ devices and steal sensitive information, including passwords and Singpass passcodes, which are crucial for accessing CPF accounts.

Once the scammers had control over the victims’ devices, they resorted to further deception. Posing as legitimate representatives, the scammers would call the victims and request their Singpass passcodes, under the pretext of creating an account within the application.

Unknowingly, the victims provided the scammers with the passcodes, believing they were engaging in a genuine transaction.

With the stolen Singpass passcodes, the scammers gained remote access to the victims’ CPF accounts. They exploited this access to initiate fund withdrawals through PayNow, a convenient mobile payment system.

The victims’ CPF funds were transferred to their bank accounts as part of the withdrawal process. Seizing this opportunity, the scammers accessed the victims’ bank applications and swiftly transferred the funds out via PayNow, leaving the victims shocked and deceived.

Awareness and Vigilance

To prevent falling victim to such scams, it is crucial to exercise caution and be aware of the potential dangers. The police have emphasized the risks associated with downloading apps from third-party or dubious sites, as these often result in the installation of malware on computers, mobile phones, and other devices.

Therefore, it is strongly advised to refrain from downloading any suspicious APK files that may contain phishing malware.

To enhance security and protect against scams, it is recommended to regularly update devices with the latest security patches. These updates often include vital security improvements that can safeguard against emerging threats.

By ensuring devices are up to date, users can reduce the risk of malware infiltration and unauthorized access to sensitive information.

In the unfortunate event of falling victim to a scam, it is imperative to take immediate action. Victims should promptly report any fraudulent transactions to their respective banks, providing all necessary details to aid in the investigation and recovery process.

Additionally, it is advisable to visit the official scam alert website, www.scamalert.sg, for more information and contact
