THE WORLD AIRPORT AWARDS

The World Airport Awards are the most prestigious accolades for the airport industry, voted by customers in the largest, annual global airport customer satisfaction survey.

Operating since 2000, the World Airport Awards are independent and impartial, and provide a customer satisfaction study that is truly global in scope and coverage. They are regarded as the quality benchmark for the world airport industry, assessing customer service and facilities across over 550 airports. The survey and awards process is provided to airports at no cost, to ensure true credibility of results.

The Awards are based on the World Airport Survey questionnaires completed by over 60 nationalities of airport customers during the survey period, which operated from August 2022 to February 2023. The survey evaluated the customer experience across airport service and product key performance indicators – from check in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security / immigration through to departure at the gate.

EBIKE AH BENG UPSET AT BEING HONKED BY DRIVER, STOP IN MIDDLE OF ROAD & WANT TO FIGHT

0

A video emerged online showing an e-bike rider confronting a driver and trying to pick a fight with him after being honked along Old Airport Road.

The incident purportedly happened on Wednesday (15 March) at about 5.30am, and was captured on the dashcam of the driver’s car.

The driver had allegedly honked at the ebike rider, who was riding on the road without a helmet and suddenly filtered into the middle lane.

The upset rider then stopped his bike in the middle of the road and confronted the driver.

What happened?

According to the dashcam footage, the driver was driving along the road when the helmetless ebike rider suddenly emerged from the right side, filtering into the lane that the driver was in, before turning into the pavement after presumably being honked at.

In the next cut of the video, the rider was seen riding right in front of the car while looking back at the driver, nodding his head as he muttered something under his breath.

At the traffic light, he stopped and alighted from his bike, picking up his phone and turning around, shouting at the driver in Mandarin “WHAT YOU WANT?!” as he raised his arms into the air and confronted the driver.

The rider then went to the driver’s window and had an unintelligible argument with the driver, shouting at him before walking back to his ebike and riding off.

Netizens’ comments

JB POLICE STOP MY CAR, TAKE OUT PAPER TO PRETEND TO FINE ME BUT WANT ‘COFFEE MONEY’

0

My heart sank when I saw the police car parked at the side of the road. I had been driving in Johor Bahru and had taken a wrong turn into an ulu road.

I was so busy looking around and trying to find my way back to the main road that I didn’t realize it was a one-way street.

Made an illegal u-turn, was pulled over by the Police car

I quickly made a U-turn which was in fact illegal and was about to drive away when I spotted a police car.

I pulled over to the side of the road after being signaled to stop and nervously waited for what was to come. A few minutes later, two officers got out of the car and came up to my window.

They were both stern-faced and had papers in their hands. I was sure they were going to fine me for making an illegal U-turn.

I rolled down my window and one of the officers asked for my license and my passport. I handed it over and he started to look through it.

The other officer asked me what I was doing in the area and I explained that I had made a wrong turn. He nodded and then asked why I had made a U-turn. I told him that I was lost and was trying to find my way back.

The officers looked at each other and then one of them said that I was lucky that I hadn’t caused an accident and that I needed to be more careful in the future. I nodded and agreed.

Hinted me for 300 RM ‘coffee money’ which I rejected and asked them to fine me instead

They then said that I was going to be fined and repeated it many times, like as if they were hinting for something else.

They then pointed to my wallet and said they would let me off. I was taken aback and asked what they meant by pointing to my wallet and they told me that they needed to have a coffee break for their shift.

I asked what were they expecting and they said that their coffee cost about 300 Ringgit.

I had never been asked to bribe a police officer before and I was not sure what to do. I asked them if I could speak to their supervisor and they said that would not be possible.

Not wanting to give in to them, I told them to go ahead and fine me instead and I would rather pay their fine then feed their fat bellies.

They realised that I was not to be messed with and then after some discussion between the both of them, they told me that I could go and they would let me off this time.

S’PORE LEARNER RIDER GETS IMMEDIATE FAILURE AFTER COLLIDING WITH BIRD

0

A photo emerged online showing the result slip of a learner biker in Singapore, who got an immediate failure for an unusual reason.

A screenshot of the result slip showed that the rider had gotten an immediate failure because he had “collided with a bird,” along with another 16 demerit points during his riding test.

Among the many mistakes made by the biker, apart from the “bird collision”, the rider had also made an improper wide turn, with the checkbox for “improper action causing accident/near accident” being ticked.

The most notable reason for his failure was the 1 point for immediate failure, with the words “collided with bird” being scribbled and underlined beside it.

The netizen who posted the photo said that it was their first time seeing someone get an immediate failure for a riding test because of “collided with bird”.

Netizens’ comments

  • Happened to me before. Riding as per normal and “caught” a bird flying onto my chest.
  • If it’s the tester’s bird, of course fail la. Ask you move your motorcycle slightly in front while the tester is standing in front of the motorcycle, you squeeze the throttle and hit his bird bird. How to pass?
  • Probably collided own bird against the fuel tank, ouch
  • I’m sorry guys.. I’ve sent my bird to dapao lunch for me. Now I know why it didn’t come back
  • The most polite way to immediate fail you because you pah jiao.
  • As much as we find it funny, sometimes an object the size of a Mynah can cause the biker to crash. So the rationale of the failure is there
  • Next time will be immediate failure because collided with mosquito.
  • How is this possible. Should have contested this. Unless everyone on the road, gets fines and demerit points for hitting birds, I don’t see why this guy should fail because of it. This is probably fake photo
    • Ya as fake as your brain

FOODPANDA RIDER FIGHTS WITH 2 MEN @ RESTAURANT, KENA CHAIR TO THE FACE

A video emerged online showing a FoodPanda delivery rider coming to blows and fighting with 2 men at a restaurant in Penang.

The fight allegedly occurred on 14 March and had broken out because the delivery rider had allegedly insulted a female worker at the restaurant.

The Penang Southwest Police District confirmed the fight and said that the three men who were fighting in the video are assisting them with their investigations.

In the video, two men could be seen raining blows on the delivery rider, who was wearing his pink and grey FoodPanda delivery rider uniform.

Airborne chair

The two men had picked up the restaurant’s chairs around them and swung them at the rider, at one point hitting him in the face.

The rider managed to wrestle the chairs away from them, before returning punches at them and trying to fight both of them at once.

Several onlookers tried to stop the fight, but only managed to take off the shirt of one of the men instead.

The FoodPanda rider then tried to take the initiative and go on the offensive, attacking the shirtless man and exchanging punches.

The group was eventually separated and the food delivery rider then sat down on the ground and started filming a video of the men.

One of the men then walked away to avoid being recorded as the rider continued to follow and film him.

Insulted a female staff

According to Sin Chew Daily, witnesses at the scene claimed that the delivery rider had insulted the female staff working at the restaurant, prompting the two men to come forward to defend her.

The fight took place at a restaurant located in the Southwest District of Penant.

The Penang police also added that they have arrested all 3 of the men, between the ages of 44 and 68 in connection with the fight, and are investigating.

GIRLS IN MY SEC SCH LIKE TO STUFF TISSUE IN BRA TO ‘ENHANCE’ THEIR ‘NEH NEH’ SIZE

0

I always admired my female friends in secondary school. They were all so confident in their own skin and it was inspiring to witness. I was always amazed at how they could pull off any outfit and look effortlessly stylish.

They like to stuff tissue paper in their bra, to enhance their ‘neh neh’ size

Unfortunately, many of them had to resort to an unusual method to enhance their look. Whenever they wore their school uniform, they would stuff tissue paper inside their bras to make their ‘neh neh’ look bigger.

They thought this was a necessary step to make them look more attractive and accepted among their peers.

I remember the day when I first noticed them doing this. We were all changing into our uniforms in the changing room and I saw one of my friends slip several pieces of tissue paper into her bra.

I was so surprised and asked her why she was doing it. She simply shrugged and said that it was just something she did every day.

I watched as more and more of my friends started to do the same thing. They all thought it was necessary to make their ‘neh neh’ look bigger and that it was the only way for now since we were all still young and have no money for surgery.

I tried to talk to my friends about it asking if it was necessary to do this but they all just brushed it off and said that it was no big deal.

They just loved the attention that they get from other male peers in school because they cannot seem to get their eyes off them and would even approach them to make small talk, just to have a closer glimpse of their figures.

M’SIAN AUTHORITIES SEIZED 23,000 ADULT TOYS IN PENANG WORTH RM1.1 MILLION

0

The Enforcement and Control Division (PKK) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) seized a total of 22,929 adult toys worth RM1.1 million at a hardware warehouse in Bukit Mertajam near here, last February 15.

PKK Division Secretary, Nik Yusaimi Yussof said, in a raid through Virtual Ops at about 12 noon, a 29-year-old woman was also arrested.

He explained that the warehouse in question was used as a place to store adult toys and the suspect started actively selling them online since last year.

“The suspect, who is also the owner of the warehouse, was charged at the Bukit Mertajam Magistrate’s Court on March 2 and fined RM5,000 after pleading guilty.

“The suspect is being investigated in accordance with Section 7(1) of the Printing and Publishing Act 1984 for harming morals and Section 292 (a) of the Penal Code for distributing or selling obscene items,” he said in a press conference here today.

Commenting further, he said, the adult toys were found to be brought in from abroad and sold at a price of RM70 to RM450 per unit.

He explained that the seller can make a profit of up to double which is RM3.3 million following high demand from customers.

“This operation aims to crack down on the sale and purchase of adult toys because it is prohibited and contrary to morals and culture in this country.

“These unhealthy symptoms are feared to be harmful to the public interest and it is hoped that any individual will not be involved in all activities that are harmful to morale,” he said.

In the meantime, he added, the public who have information related to the sale and distribution of adult toys are asked to contact the Ministry of Health at 03-8000 8000. – MESSENGER

CUSTOMER OVERPAID BY ALMOST 100X, PAID $700 FOR $7 DISH @ SERANGOON HAWKER STALL

0

Earlier this year, a ban mian hawker in Admiralty made the news for accidentally overcharging a customer $445.50, but managed to give a refund to the customer who came back for another meal – apparently, he had poor eyesight.

Earlier this week, another hawker took to Facebook to ask for help looking for a customer, after a similar incident happened.

A customer had overpaid by $693 at a hawker stall at Serangoon Garden Market, paying $700 for a dish that costs just $7.

The incident happened at a food stall located in Serangoon Garden Market and Food Centre, and the transaction was made on Tuesday night (14 March).

The stall owner posted an appeal for information on the Facebook group Can Eat! Hawker Food on 15 March, trying to reach out to the customer who overpaid by almost 100 times.

The hawker said in his caption: “Morning, we have a customer that overpaid us $693 for the food in Serangoon Garden Market at around 7pm If you are the one, please contact us at *phone number redacted* for the balance refund. Thanks.”

The stall owner, William Fong, said that the customer had patronised his stall at about 7pm on Tuesday and transferred $700 to them via PayLah, for his food that only costs $7.

Fond said that he doesn’t want to make the customer panic, and added that it might take a longer time to bring up the overpayment matter with NETS or the bank.

He added that so far no one had come forward to claim the refund from him, and he said that he would verify the identity of the customer by asking for a record of the transaction made at the stall.

VIET WIFE STRIKE $500K 4D, TREAT ME LIKE SERVANT & RAN BACK TO VIETNAM

0

My wife, a Vietnamese bu, had just struck the first prize in 4d some time ago. It was some number that she dreamt off and she even took $200 from me to buy it, 100 big and 100 small.

When the results were released, she screamed at the top of her lungs and was so happy because the amount which she bet won us $500,000.

Thought that our lives had changed for the better but she treated me like a servant instead

I too, was so happy for her because I had worked hard to provide for us. Now, I thought, our luck had finally changed.

Little did I know, however, that my wife’s newfound wealth would be the beginning of the end. As soon as the money came in, my wife changed. She became cold and distant, and began treating me like a servant.

I was no longer the man she had married and cherished – I was now an object to be used.

At first, I tried to ignore her behavior. I thought that maybe she was just overwhelmed by the sudden influx of money and would come back to her old self soon.

But it only got worse. She began to berate me and insult me, and she demanded that I obey her every command. I was no longer allowed to make decisions for myself or to have any sort of opinion. I was her personal slave.

My life soon became a living nightmare. I was forced to do all of the household chores, and she made sure to keep me in line by punishing me whenever I did something wrong.

She also began to spend money recklessly, buying things that we didn’t need and going on extravagant vacations.

As the time went by, I became increasingly resentful of my wife and her wealth. I felt like she had taken away my freedom and my dignity.

I was no longer the man I used to be – I was nothing more than a servant in my own home.

Suspect she has an affair in Vietnam

She even ran back to Vietnam whenever she wanted for weeks to a month without informing me every time she does something like that.

I suspect that she is having an affair back home but I have no proof and can only lan lan because she’s the one with the money now.
