UNI GRAD SENT OUT 800 JOB APPLICATIONS, ONLY 30 REPLIED & SHE FAILED ALL 30 INTERVIEWS

A university graduate in China took to social media to share about her struggles on the job market, failing about 30 job interviews and crying about it.

The girl had majored in copywriting and planning and upon her graduation, sent out more than 800 applications to companies and only about 30 of them responded to her.

She went for interviews with the 30 companies and none of them replied her, with some of them even offering her internships instead with no salary.

She added that the internships offer didn’t even come with the promise of a job offer after, as she cried and asked what is the point of her going to university.

She said that her best friend was earning about 7,500 yuan (or SGD$1,457) working in Beijing, which was a decent salary for a uni graduate in China

But she had to fork out 2,000 yuan (SGD$388) for rental, and always had to work OT, often times working until 3 to 4am and having to wake up again for work at 7am.

The girl lamented how her younger friends are having more success than her, and said that her family is pressuring her to be a teacher or join the government.

It got to a point where she refused to return home for Chinese new year because of the pressure.

GF OPENED MY PHOTO GALLERY AND SAW VIDEOS OF MY EX AND I IN BED

0

My heart was racing as I watched my girlfriend scroll through my phone photo gallery. I had been so careless, leaving hundreds of pictures and videos of my ex and I in bed together exposed for anyone to see.

Wanted to keep the videos and photos as a memento

I had only been with my gf for a few months and I was hoping that she wouldn’t check my photo gallery as I wanted to keep whatever I did before in bed in the past as a memento.

At first, she didn’t say anything. She just kept scrolling through the photos and videos, her expression growing more and more serious with each one she saw. I wanted to say something but I knew it would only make matters worse.

Finally, she put my phone down and looked at me. Her eyes were filled with hurt and betrayal and I knew that this was the end of our relationship.

She didn’t yell or cry, she just looked at me with a sadness that I had never seen before. I wanted to apologize, to tell her that I was sorry, but I knew it was too late.

I had destroyed something that we both valued and it was my own fault.

She didn’t say a word as she got up and walked out of my apartment. I wanted to call her and explain, but I knew it wouldn’t make a difference. I had betrayed her and there was no going back.

That night, I felt more alone than ever before.

I had destroyed something that I had worked so hard to build.

I had been so careless, leaving hundreds of photos and videos of my past indiscretions exposed for her to see. I had hurt the one person I loved more than anything and I knew I would never forgive myself.

My relationship with my gf was over. I had lost something that I had only begun to build and I would never get it back.

MAN ORDERS PORK NOODLES AT CHANGI AIRPORT, GETS A BOWL OF BONES

0

Imagine you are hungry and when your food arrived you feel like you get scammed. Such a bad experience when your hungry.

Pork belly noodles become bone noodles

Here is what the man said:

Ordered a pork belly ban mian… All they gave are bones. When I ask the stall why is it not pork belly she said that they give the bottom part of the pork belly which are bones.. Can’t be bothered to argue with her. Food recieved is so different form picture. Complete scam. Paid $6.80 for pork bones… Kopitiam@ changi airport T4

Here are what netizens think:

  • Even they gave the bottom part then where is the middle fat and the top part skin to form the pork belly. Yours look more like soft bone meat. I would have rejected the meal and ask for a refund or they serve me another bowl with whole of a pork belly meat.
  • Nowadays this is the food trick to consumers. So when we buy something. We must really see. They can’t do this way to us who paid for the food. And get the food which is not the one we ordered.
  • I will visit the stall again ordering 2 bowls of same type. if they give me the same with more bones than meat. I will just walk off without paying.
  • Kopitiam food at airport vicinity (or hospitals) always overpriced and tastes sub-par, sometimes I rather eat Maggie mee. Food street at transit area still not bad.
  • Next year you order again mayb left pork belly gravy only…
  • Wah give u bone…. Haha Reminds me of my prata encounter I order chicken they serve me neck…..

MAN SAYS “WIFE IS PREGNANT NOW, LAST CHANCE TO FOOL AROUND IN JOHOR”

0

I had been married to my wife for four years. We had discussed having children and both felt ready, but it seemed like the right time had not yet come. So when I told my friends the news that she was pregnant, they were both shocked and incredibly excited.

My friend said: “this is your last chance to fool around in Johor, special special service”.

We had all been friends since poly and had been through a lot together. We had shared some of our most wild experiences and I wanted them to enjoy their last few months of freedom.

I wanted them to have one last chance to do something crazy and irresponsible before we had to grow up and become responsible parents.

On one hand, they were excited for me and my wife and wanted to celebrate the news. On the other hand, they were scared of what this meant for their own lives.

I eventually decided to take me up on my friend’s offer. We spent the next few months attending wild parties, going on crazy road trips in Johor, and generally just having a great time.

We did things that we would never do once the baby was born.

At the end of the day, my friends were grateful for the time we had together. They were also relieved that they had been able to have one last chance to be wild before settling down into adulthood.

My wife and I welcomed our baby boy into the world three months later. Everyone was overjoyed and I felt proud to have been able to give my friends one last chance to be crazy and irresponsible before settling down.

As I look back on our time together, I can’t help but feel a sense of pride. We all grew up together and now, as adults, we’re starting our own families. I’m thankful that I was able to give my friends one last chance to be wild before taking on the responsibilities of parenthood.

TAMPINES HDB HAS LEAKAGE PROBLEM, COMPLAINED SINCE 2021 STILL NOT RESOLVED

Hi guys, I really don’t know what to do anymore because I’ve emailed town council/hdb/my area’s MP but the issue just doesn’t get solved.

Leaking

My house was renovated in late 2020 and the leaking problem was discovered and raised to them in mid 2021. Up till now, it only got worse and I’m very worried my vinyl, wardrobe and paint will wear off because its turning mouldy.

Any advice on what I should do? Recently because of the downpour, the situation got worse and to my horror, I saw a big puddle of water in the room. And now, my common toilet’s ceiling is affected too.

The same wall facing the corridor is leaking also and it’s very obvious the root of it comes from the ceiling.

Here are what netizens think:

  • Happened to me for my neighbors on the top and bottom floor. In the end, I have to pay for renovations 50%, 50% each. Good luck to you.
  • I have the same issue. Write to your MP and town council with the evidence. They will come and repair the roof.
  • top floor then it’s HDB problem. That’s a roofing problem which the HDB has to do water proofing and membrane so keep the rain water from seeping in. Contact HDB area office first before going further up. I had this issue but it’s from the side wall. Settled already.
  • If only happens during downpours, then likely the external wall waterproofing is damaged. My case was wall was wet during downpours and wall got mouldy. Email Town Council and TC repaired the external wall.
  • Top floor shld be from the water tank area. Means water proofing gone. Town Council shld be liable cos its common area.
  • Don’t email. Go down and bang table. Within a year, from start of the complaint, the repair should be free, within DLP.

BOSS THREATENS TO FIRE EMPLOYEES WHO DO NOT PAY FOR TEAM BONDING COST

0

I recently had an uncomfortable experience with my boss. We had an office team bonding event planned, and everyone was asked to contribute a certain amount of money to cover the costs.

My boss made it very clear that those who didn’t pay would not be able to attend the event, and that they would be fired if they refused to pay.

At first, I was taken aback by the ultimatum.

After all, it feels wrong to have to pay to participate in a team bonding event. It seemed like it should have been optional, or at least something that the company should have covered.

I talked to a few of my co-workers about it and learned that many of them were also feeling uneasy about the situation. We all had the same thought – why should we have to pay for something that is supposed to be fun and that our employer should be providing?

The pressure from my boss was mounting, and it was clear that he was serious about his threat. He even went so far as to say that those who didn’t pay would be fired. I was beginning to worry that I would be one of those people, as I didn’t have the money to cover the cost.

I decided to speak to my boss directly and asked if there was any way I could attend without having to pay. He said that if I could find a way to cover the cost, then I could attend. But if I couldn’t, then I would be fired.

I was in a difficult position, but after talking to my co-workers, I felt like I had no choice. I had to find a way to pay the cost or else I would be out of a job.

What a Lan jiao boss, no wonder the turn over rate is so hight.

MAN’S BANK ACCOUNT HACKED, FAILED TO PAY ATTENTION AFTER A TIRED DAY

I’m SCAM!!!

My wife was hoping to have a Samsung Zip4 until she saw the various complaints, decided to go for iphone14. This evening she saw in Facebook a promotion on this gadget and was promoted by DBS (our bank).

She send me the link and after a tiring day, I just glance through not analysing with my brain coz $5/mth is ridiculous and too good to be true. I remember the ad. on TV and now I’ve fallen onto it.

I clicked the link and it brought me to a DBS platform, asking for user ID & Password. I did both and like usual an OTP appeared. I keyed in the OTP and received SMS from DBS stating that if the transaction is not done by me, please call the relevant authorities.

While the OTP was being verified, my account kept on deducting and I woken to my tiredness and immediately called DBS emergency service. Well, kudos to DBS, which was pretty fast. The call immediately went to the customer service(CS) after keying in #7 as instructed and was able to conversed with the CS. Immediately he block all my overseas transactions and pin. It was pretty fast and he even gave me some details to expedite this matter so I can have my money back(pray hard though).

After the call ended, I immediately went to the police to lounge a report. It was very scary, ppl out there do check your bank account weekly or monthly. Coz at times you might accidentally click on some link which unknowingly might be extracting money from your account. For instances, especially with Shopee. You decided not to buy the item but you already click pay now. There’s nothing, you logged out. Remember the money is already deducted but the item is cancelled.

There’s no order ID or details and Shopee is not that honest to refund you back the money. The worst thing is, you do not have any ID to refer to.

I trusted Facebook coz it’s been with me for the past 20 years. Now I doubt I will fully trust this social media. They should check every promotion before putting ot on the FB platform. If Complaint Singapore can screen thru details send in, why not FB? Tonight I’m the only one. I don’t know how many thousand of ppl had fallen prey to this scam.

KIASU AUNTIE RUSH INTO TRAIN, DULAN YOUNG MAN BUMPS INTO HER UNTIL FALL

0

I had just stepped onto the train when I heard a commotion coming from the other end of the carriage.

When I turned to look, I saw an elderly lady rushing into the carriage. She wore an expression of desperation, and she was pushing her way past other passengers in order to get to the end of the train.

As she passed by me, I heard some passenger mumbling something about “kiasu auntie” – I realized that this auntie was trying to be the first to get to the end of the carriage, so that she could get the seats!

However, her determination didn’t go unnoticed, and an angry young man suddenly appeared in front of her and started pushing her back.

he young man was too strong and the elderly lady was no match for him. He pushed her so hard that she lost her balance and fell onto the floor.

The young man then stepped away and started walking away, with a satisfied smirk on his face. All the other passengers in the train were stunned into silence but many of them were laughing at the auntie as well.

Here are what netizens think:

  • She deserved it, all this kiasu aunties should be punished.
  • Alot of elderly always like that, knn no seat will die like that. If want seat can just ask mah.
  • The man might not be right to push her, But I’m glad someone actually took action and punish this kind of typical SG aunite, also known as a disgrace.

HAWTHORNE FLAKES MOULDY, DAUGHTER INGESTED A FEW PIECES

A woman had to quickly stopped her daughter from eating hawthorne flakes after she notice that the candy look weird. Upon closer inspection she noticed that there were black spots on it. Netizens who saw the photos quickly confirmed that the snack is moldy.

Moldy Food

The woman who took the photos of the snack said:

Hi ladies and gentlemen, may i check is it common to see such yucky stuffs on these type of haw flakes ??? I just bought it 2 days ago from a provision shop and while my daughter was eating it. She felt something amiss as in why were the shapes so weird..then immediately i stopped her … i thought it supposed to be smooth n no black black stuffs…Parents must take note when buying these for the kids..i didnt take note of it and my kids took n ate it.. I felt so guilty now …haiz..hope the company will take note of it..

But she had ate it at least 4 pieces of it… i supposed they were yucky fungus..anybody encounter the same situation before?

Here are what netizens think:

  • We ate this as a child. I would just like to strongly advise you from eating this or giving this to your child whether it is mouldy or not. This is really unhealthy and is classified as junk food. While not limited to this, you may wish to check out its ingredients.
  • You should bring them back to show the shop owner or staff to where they were purchased to prevent from selling
  • If shop didn’t keep well very easy turn mouldy as the paper just wrap around only.
  • It’s already moldy!

FRESH GRAD DON’T KNOW HOW TO MANAGE CREDIT CARD, $20,000 IN DEBT

0

I was a fresh grad and had started work for a few months when I made an expensive mistake. I had applied for a credit card, not knowing how to manage it.

I had already accumulated $20,000 in debt.

I was feeling so embarrassed and ashamed for getting myself into this situation.

I was too embarrassed to tell my parents about the situation, but I knew I needed help. So I finally confessed to them about my debt. I was expecting them to be angry with me and lecture me about my recklessness. But instead, they were very supportive and understanding. They told me that they would help me pay off my debt.

I was so thankful for my parents. I knew that I had made a mistake and that I had to learn from it. So I decided to make a plan to pay off the debt and never make the same mistake again.

The first thing I did was to cut back on expenses. I stopped going out with my friends and stopped buying unnecessary things. I also cancelled my credit card and started using cash for all my purchases. This helped me to control my spending and prevented me from getting into more debt.

I also started looking for ways to earn extra money. I took on part-time jobs and started selling things online. This helped me to increase my income and I was able to use this money to pay off my debt.

I also used some of the money I had saved to pay off my debt. This was a difficult decision but it was worth it in the end. By doing this, I was able to get my debt paid off more quicker.

Finally, I worked hard to stay out of debt. I made sure to save money each month and only buy things I really needed. I also started building my credit score by making regular payments on time. Over time, I was able to build a healthy credit score and stay out of debt.

It took a lot of hard work and dedication, but I was finally able to pay off my debt with the help of my parents. I’m glad that I learned from my mistake and was able to make a plan to pay off my debt. I’m thankful for my parents for understanding and helping me pay off my debt.

If there’s anyone else out there in a similar situation, I want to tell them that it’s never too late to make a plan to pay off your debt and get back on track. Don’t be embarrassed or ashamed, just take the right steps to get yourself out of debt.

Laugh at me if you want, but I am grateful that I made a mistake and learned from it. I’m no longer in debt and have learned an important lesson about financial management.
