GRAB DRIVER SHARES HIS DAILY DRIVING ROUTINE THAT EARNS HIM $300/DAY MINIMUM

0

I’m a Grab driver in Singapore. I’ve been driving for the past two years and I must say, it’s one of the most rewarding jobs I’ve ever had.

Every day, I make at least $300 from my daily Grab driving routine, which I’ll be going to share.

I start at around 5am and end around 10pm, with breaks in between

First, I start my day off around 5:00am-5:30am and I will usually get a Grab trip to the airport (i stay in the west) and this usually covers me around $35-$40.

After dropping them off at the airport, I would try to pick up an arrival to a housing estate, as there would be people booking Grab to go to work and I would usually only take trips to places which are near housing estates so that I can carry on with another booking.

I usually try to avoid the city in the morning as there usually will be jam at that time which is time consuming and there would usually be no one leaving the city in the morning as most people go there to work.

After I hit about $150 nett, which is usually by 9-10am, I would stop for breakfast before I continue again till about 12-1pm when I would head home to rest or plan some activities.

I would then start again at 4-5pm for the evening peak and would drive all the way till about 9-10pm where I end my day.

The earnings varies but usually I would be able to hit about $300 nett minimum for a day’s work like this.

On weekends, I change my game plan a little and I try to focus more on driving Grab at night as the prices go up so high sometimes at drinking areas and I make much more from this.

Of course, the prices are not so high every time but I do my best to drive as much as possible to hit my target.

Gave me the financial boost that I needed

This is my daily routine as a Grab driver here in Singapore. I’ve been doing this for the past two years and I must say, it’s been a very rewarding experience.

Not only do I make at least $300 a day, but I also get to meet interesting people along the way.

Being a Grab driver has definitely changed my life for the better. I’m able to make enough money to support myself and my family.

If you’re looking for a way to make some extra money, I would highly recommend becoming a Grab driver. It’s a great way to make some extra money, while also getting to meet interesting people.

MAN HOOKED UP WITH GIRL INTERNING AT HIS OFFICE, HIS SON ENDED UP DATING HER

0

It was one of those moments that I wish I could take back. I had made a mistake, a mistake that I would regret for the rest of my life.

I hooked up with a girl who was interning in my office

It all started one day at the office. I had just finished up a meeting with my team when I noticed one of the interns, a pretty young woman, looking my way.

We made eye contact, and I could feel the chemistry between us. I decided to take a risk and ask her out. We went out for drinks and ended up going to a hotel for some intimate time.

We did this on and off for the duration of her internship period

Everything seemed normal and went on as usual. Little did I know, however, that my mistake was about to catch up with me.

I had completely forgotten about the whole affair with the intern until one day when my son came home and announced that he was dating someone.

My wife and myself were naturally excited as it was the first time that my son shared with us that he had a girlfriend and we asked him to show the photo.

My son ended up dating the intern who slept with me

My heart sank when I saw the photo. She looked very familiar and after a while, I realised that the girl in the picture was the same intern I had gone out and hooked up with..

I was embarrassed, ashamed, and filled with regret.

The worst part was, my son had no idea that I had hooked up with his girlfriend.

He was completely oblivious to the fact that I had done what I did and I wonder how things would turn out when he brings her back to our place to introduce us.

HOSTESS @ GOLDEN MILE DESPERATE BECAUSE CLOSING DOWN, $50 CAN ‘TEH’ NEH NEH ALL YOU WANT

0

A hostess who works at a bar in Golden Mile Complex recently told one of my friend who frequents the bars there often about how desperate the girls there are to earn as much money now as the Complex is going to be closed for good soon.

She told my friend a story about what happened to one of her ‘sisters’ who was desperate for as much tips as possible.

Here is the story

It was a desperate time for most of the hostess working there. Her ‘sister’ had worked as a hostess at Golden Mile Complex for the past year and it was about to close down.

The job had been a great source of income for them as they would get a lot of tips from customers.

The closure of the complex was going to put them in a tough spot and they had no idea how their future would be without a place to work in.

Business still when on as usual but they were counting down to the day when they eventually had to stop work.

Many people were still visiting the complex for one last hurrah before the mall eventually closed for good.

One day, a customer came in for some drinks and when it was time to ‘hang flower’, he tipped $50. After tipping the $50 and having quite a few drinks, he started to get touchy with the ‘sister’.

He immediately lifted up her top and squeezed and groped her ‘neh neh’ non stop, while rubbing what was in his pants on her.

The ‘sister’ then tried to siam a bit from the public attention, but the guy was not stopping and tried all means to put his hand into her top.

It did not stop for a good 10 minutes until she butterfly to another table.

She say desperate times calls for desperate measures

The ‘sister’ said that normally for $50 she won’t allow the guy touch non stop like its free but because now the mall is closing already and they want to earn as much as possible, so she lan lan let the customer ‘teh’ until he shiok lor.

Then since already let people ‘teh’ until like that, she will see lor those that give tip $10-$20 she will siam them don’t let them touch.

Those tip $50 and above one she let them ‘teh’ until they shiok.

The hostess also said that a lot of them are going down to this level now because really counting down to the closure liao, don’t know how long more can earn.

INDONESIAN MEN ARRESTED FOR OVER-STAYING IN S’PORE, ILLEGAL CIGGS ALSO SEIZED

Three Indonesian men between the ages of 24 and 29 were arrested by ICA officers for overstaying during an inland operation that was conducted on 1 March along Sungei Kadut Avenue.

The suspects had resisted arrest during the operation, but were otherwise successfully subdued by the ICA officers with minimum force.

About 100 packets of duty-unpaid cigarettes were also seized by officers, with preliminary investigations revealing that the trip had been selling illegal cigarettes here.

MAN PAID ESCORT $1.8K OUT OF FEAR AFTER SHE THREATENED TO REPORT HIM TO THE POLICE

0

A 39-year-old man hired a female escort, with the woman then allegedly demanding $15,000 from him or she would report him to the police.

Out of fear, the man then paid her $1,8000.

The female escort, 27-year-old Singaporean Tanya Pal, was charged in court earlier today (8 March) with one count of extortion.

The woman is being accused of committing extortion on 5 March at about 3.30pm, at a unit in Block 397 Yishun Avenue 6.

The Singapore Police Force said in a statement that the man had paid Pal $1,800 first via a bank transfer, before reporting the incident to the police later that evening.

The woman was then identified by the police and she was later arrested within 19 hours of the police report being lodged by the victim.

The police added that Pal is believed to have been involved in three other similar cases that were reported to them, with a total of at least $19,000 being lost by the victims.

She was remanded for police investigation earlier today.

If convicted for extortion, Pal faces a jail term of between 2 to 7 years as well as caning; but because she is a woman, she cannot be caned under Singapore law.

BALINESE FINDS SGD 1.40 DRINK A LUXURY, MAKING NETIZEN SAY SPOREANS TAKE THINGS FOR GRANTED

We travelled around Bali with a local driver booked via KKday. He is our window to life in Bali.

On the first day, we passed by Mixue. I commented we also have that in Singapore. He said he tried once and it was 16,000 Rp (S$1.40) and it was considered very expensive to him.

We gave him a treat, he was so grateful

When he brought us to have lunch, we insisted he ate with us and we treated him. He only chose the lowest priced set and tried to offer us the crispy pig skin that was the highlight of the set.

In a supermarket, Hippo saw him he looking at a formula milk which costs 108,000 Rp (S$9.47) and bought it for him with our combined shopping funds. He was very grateful and told us how happy his wife was when he told her. I asked how old his kid was. To our surprise, he shared his son was actually 15 years old and malnourished, so he wanted it to let him have it together with his meals.

Being a typical Singaporean, I was almost about to blurt out how cheap the drinks at Mixue are, but this S$1.40 drink is a luxury to a Balinese local.

A treat that costs S$2.63 would not mean anything to us but to a brother, it was an amount to save on. If our kids in Singapore suffer from any condition, we would be so worried and would be anxious to provide him/her the best medical attention we can get.

This anxiety as a parent is the same as the driver’s. There is only a limit to how much he can afford financially.

It took a Balinese to show me that a S$1.40 drink, S$2.63 meal and a S$9.47 box of formula milk actually mean a lot.

Through this window, I also see how we have taken how lucky we are to be in Singapore to an extent we take many things for granted.

MAN WHO LEFT WEEKS TO LIVE SHARES HIS REGRETS & GRATITUDE ABOUT LIFE

0

As I look back on my life, I feel a wave of emotions wash over me.

I’m both grateful for the life I’ve been privileged to live and filled with regret for the things I’ve let slip away.

I’m thankful for things in my life

Knowing that my life is almost up has made me reflect on all of these feelings, and they’ve become clearer and more vivid.

The first sentiment that comes to mind is one of gratitude.

I’m thankful for the people I have in my life and the memories we’ve created together.

I’m thankful for the opportunities I’ve been given and the experiences I’ve had.

I’m thankful for the successes I’ve achieved and the lessons I’ve learned. I’m thankful for the love that I’ve shared and the joy I’ve spread.

I’m thankful for the freedom I’ve had to explore the world and discover new perspectives.

My life is also filled with regrets

At the same time, I am filled with regret. I regret the times I was selfish and the times I was unkind.

I regret the times I took my loved ones for granted and the times I didn’t appreciate the little moments.

I regret the times I was too busy to appreciate the beauty of life, and the times I was too focused on material possessions.

I regret the times I wasted my talents and the times I didn’t make the most of my potential.

The thing I regret the most, however, is not having enough time.

I wish I had more time to make up for my mistakes, to do all the things I wanted to do, to spend more time with the people I love, and to make more memories.

Knowing that I’m running out of time is the most difficult part of this experience.

You only live once, appreciate the little things

As I reflect on my life, I know that I have made mistakes and done things that I wish I could undo.

But I also know that I have done a lot of good. I have loved and been loved, I have helped and been helped, I have laughed and been laughed at.

These moments are the ones that I will carry with me when my life is almost up.

I have learned a lot in my life, and I hope that I can pass on some of this wisdom to others.

I hope that I can inspire others to make the most of their lives, to appreciate the little moments, to never give up, and to always be kind.

These are the things that I want to leave behind when my life is almost up.

In the end, I am filled with both gratitude and regret. I’m thankful for the life I’ve been privileged to live, but I also regret the things I didn’t do.

Knowing that my life is almost up has made me more aware of these feelings, and I’m grateful for the time I have left to make the most of it.

S’PORE FAMILY CUT MAID WITH KNIFE, BURN HER WITH IRON & POUR HOT COFFEE ON HER

0

A family in Singapore was jailed for ill-treating their maid who had just begun working for them, attacking her with a knife and heated iron, among other acts of depravity, according to The Straits Times.

70-year-old Tan Huat, his 68-year-old wife Tan Ai Tee and their 46-year-old daughter Tan Pei Ling, made their 27-year-old maid, Heni Rahayu, start work at about 6 am and only let her go to bed between 2 am and 4 am.

They didn’t give her any off days and she was not allowed to leave their Ang Mo Kio flat on her own, and the victim also couldn’t contact her agency because she didn’t have access to a phone.

The maid’s plight was uncovered when a neighbour alerted the police.

Tan Pei Ling, who works as an events manager, pleaded guilty to 2 charges of assault and was sentenced to 20 months imprisonment. Her bail was set at $20,000 and she is expected to surrender herself to the court on 3 April to start her jail sentence.

She had splashed hot coffee on the maid and attacked her with a heated iron.

Her mother, Tan Ai Tee, pleaded guilty to a charge of assault and was sentenced to 9 months imprisonment after she assaulted Heni with a knife which drew blood. Her bail was set at $15,000 and she is expected to surrender herself to the court with her daughter on 3 April to begin her jail term.

The patriarch of the sick family, Tan Huat, was sentenced to 3 weeks imprisonment for slapping the maid, and he began his sentence on 7 March.

What happened?

Heni started working for the Tan family on 13 January 2020, and it was her first time working in Singapore. She later told Tan, after working for them for about a week, that she wanted to return to her agency because his wife and daughter never seemed to be satisfied with her work performance.

Soon after, the family then started their reign of terror against her.

Between April and June 2020, Heni was cutting vegetables when Ai Tee felt that she was doing it too slowly; she scolded the maid and grabbed the knife from the maid’s right hand, piercing it near her write with the tip of the knife and cutting her, resulting in the maid’s hand bleeding.

Ai Tee then used tissue paper to stop the bleeding, as her daughter applied some antiseptic medication on her open wound, but they didn’t bring her to see a doctor.

Ai Tee also used a plastic pail to hit the maid’s head and body on another occasion, as well as using her fist to knock the maid on her head.

In June 2020, Pei Ling used a metal pole and plastic chair to hit the victim’s body, leg and neck. In the same month, her father also used his right hand and slapped the maid’s mouth twice.

Huat then told the maid, after slapping her, that if his wife or daughter was speaking to her, she had to reply instead of keeping quiet.

On 23 July 2020, Heni was doing her chores at about 2.30 am and she felt hungry and sleepy, before going to the kitchen to make herself some coffee.

Pei Ling then entered the kitchen while the victim was mixing coffee, and got angry at the maid for taking the coffee; she then snatched the cup of hot coffee from the maid’s hand and splashed it on her body and face.

She then told the victim to iron all the clothes in the living room, adding that she would not be allowed to eat or sleep if she doesn’t complete the tasks by 5 am.

At about 4 am, Heni was still ironing the clothes when Pei Ling came and asked her if the iron was hot enough, before picking up the heated iron and placing it on the maid’s right forearm for between 1 to 2 seconds, burning her and leaving a mark.

A neighbour had heard shouting coming from Tan’s residence and she then alerted the police at about 5.50 am, with officers reaching the scene about 10 minutes later.

Heni was then conveyed to the hospital with numerous injuries on her body, including burn marks and some bruises on her face.

MAN’S UOB CARD HACKED, SGD 985 SPENT @ THAILAND WHEN HE HASN’T BEEN THERE FOR 7 YEARS

A netizen by the name of Sanhaw Chong on Facebook took to Facebook to complain that his UOB One Card was hacked and an expenditure of amount SGD 985 was spent in Thailand.

Has never been there for the past seven years

The netizen also said that he has not been to Thailand for the past seven years so there was no way he could have made that expenditure in Thailand.

He has lodged formal complaints with UOB more than thrice through phone calls and said that the reply he got from UOB was that he was not eligible for a refund of the amount.

He also blamed UOB’s poor cyber security system for the loss of his money.

Here is what he said

‘My UOB Visa card was hacked at Thailand whilst I have never been there in past 7years! After complaints through phone calls more than 3 times, this is the reply I got from UOB customer service!

No refund ?! My SGD984.79 just gone with poor UOB cybersecurity’

Here are what netizens think

  • Wah gg, I wonder how the person get the pin from your phone. Anyway need to faster change card
  • Standard reply to deny their security incompetence. Ive had a friend that clicked on a SMS that used POSB’s integrated name and dedicated ‘number’ and the next moment , all her money was PAYNOWED out to another account. The bank couldnt do anything either.
  • Any police action or advice? Please share ah if got solution for future protection.
  • Seems like the person in Thai used either Android pay or Apple Pay via their phone after adding it, puzzle how they get the pin to add the card into their phone or just excuses from UOB?

Anyway few years back before Covid my UOB card was also suddenly transact in overseas, some ulu country and charged under Airbnb usage. After I saw the sms notification I immediately called scam department and was told my card will be blocked and new card and refund will be sent to me. Few weeks later I was issued a full refund from UOB
  • A similar incident happened a few years ago for $1400, and OCBC refunded the money after the dispute was raised. It’s just so scary why UOB didn’t take any action.
