WOMAN PAID $6.80 FOR ONE MOUTHFUL OF NOODLES FROM LET’S EAT SELETAR MALL

A Facebook user going by the alias of Joanne Yeo recently took to Facebook to complaint about paying $6.80 for one mouthful of noodles.

She had placed a delivery order for ‘Signature 85 Fishball Noodles’ from the Let’s Eat store at Seletar Mall and was ‘shocked’ when the delivery came with a very small plastic bag of noodles which could be held between her thumb and finger.

Here is her post

“$6.80 for a tiny 1 mouthful noodles!!”

Here are what netizens think

Many netizens who commented mentioned that the price of the noodles could be because she ordered the noodles via a delivery platform which usually marks the price up.

Some were also sarcastic saying that she ordered a budget meal and some also said that maybe it is ‘omakase’ size.

Here are some of the comments:

  • Grab food price is usually more ex? If buy from the stall itself the price shud be lower.
  • Children also not enough!! Ridiculous!! Complaint to the food center management!
  • Alot food getting more and more expensive, portion getting lesser
  • This is normal it’s because grab take commission from the merchant therefore prices are marked up on grab app
  • Usually this kind of place cant expect much… Sure exp de! Delivery have more extra charges too..
  • omakase size
  • Price mark up is understandable but portion cant be smaller wat…
  • Normal. Hawker food is for the rich.
  • 2026 $2.50 budget meal noodle will be a mouthful

MAN WHO OWES ME MONEY PULLS FRIEND AWAY FROM ME, SCARED I EXPOSE HIM

0

My heart sank when I saw him walking down the street. It was my old friend, John (not his real name), and I knew he owed me money.

He pulled his friend and moved quickly away after spotting me

I had tried to get in contact with him for months to no avail, and now here he was in the flesh. I rushed to greet him, eager to finally resolve this issue, but before I could get close enough, he grabbed his friend and pulled him in the opposite direction.

My immediate thought was that he was avoiding me. I knew that I had a good chance of collecting what he owed me if we could just talk it out. But John wasn’t having any of it. I followed him for a few minutes, calling out his name, but he just kept walking, clutching onto his friend’s hand.

I was so frustrated and embarrassed. I felt like everyone was watching me, judging me for chasing John down the street.

Was afraid that I let his friend know about his debts

I finally caught up to him, and I asked why he was running away from me. He paused for a few seconds, then said he was worried that I was going to expose him.

He was afraid that I was going to tell people about the money he owed me.

It was a valid concern, as I was so desperate to get the money back that I had already told a few close friends about it. I could see the fear in his eyes, and I knew that he was genuinely scared of what I might do.

I felt bad for him, but at the same time I was so angry. I had been struggling to make ends meet while he had just been living his life, not caring that he was taking advantage of me.

I told him that I wouldn’t expose him, and asked him to just give me what he owed me.

But he just shook his head and told me that he didn’t have any money. I was so furious that I wanted to hit him, but I managed to keep my composure.

I told him that I would find a way to get the money back and that I would do everything in my power to make sure he pays me back.

He seemed relieved, but I was still mad. I wanted to scream at him, but I just turned around and walked away. I knew that I had to get the money back, but I felt like I had lost the battle.

I had wanted to prove that I was the better person, but instead I was left standing in the street feeling helpless.

COUPLE HAVING FUN TIME AT JURONG CARPARK, WHOLE NEIGHBOURHOOD GETS FREE SHOW

A couple was seen having a fun time on the roof top of a car park located in Jurong. It was not as private as they thought, the residents in the area could seem them from a mile away .

The couple embraced each other, sharing knowing glances and tender touches.

The public display of affection (PDA) was sweet to watch, and many couldn’t help but smile at the young couple’s obvious love. But not everyone was pleased.

A few people from the neighbourhood were not too fond of the couple’s public display of affection. They were worried that it might be too inappropriate and that it was not proper for a young couple to be showing such displays of intimacy in public. Some felt that it was inappropriate for the couple to be openly showing their love and affection in such a public setting.

Others were more understanding and supportive of the couple. They argued that it was a beautiful thing to witness two people in love so openly. They felt that rather than being inappropriate, it was a lovely thing for them to be able to show their love and affection in such a way.

The situation was an interesting one as it highlighted the different perspectives that people have when it comes to public displays of affection. Some felt it was an inappropriate act while others felt it was a beautiful thing.

At the end of the day, public displays of affection depend on the context and the situation. Some public displays of affection may not be appropriate while others may be perfectly acceptable. It is important to remember that the couple in the car park was just having a bit of fun and that their display of affection was harmless.

It is up to individuals to decide whether or not they are comfortable with public displays of affection in their own lives. If it does not make someone feel uncomfortable, then it should be seen as a beautiful thing. After all, love is a beautiful thing and should be celebrated.

MAN SAYS DATING CABIN CREW IS THE BEST, THEY ALWAYS NOT AROUND SO GOT FREEDOM

0

I’ve been dating cabin crew for the last five years, and let me tell you, it’s the best. I used to date people who were always around and that was suffocating. With cabin crew, I get the freedom that I need.

They are always not around at times, good for personal space in the relationship

Dating cabin crew is great because they are always away and I don’t have to worry about them. It’s like a long-distance relationship, but they’re only away for short periods of time.

That way, I can focus on my own life and career without feeling like I have to constantly be around my partner.

I also really appreciate the fact that cabin crew are so independent. They have to be able to take care of themselves when they’re away, and that’s a quality I really admire.

It makes me feel more secure in the relationship, knowing that my partner can take care of themselves and that I don’t have to worry about them.

Plus, cabin crew are really interesting people. They’ve seen and experienced so much more than the average person. They have all sorts of stories to tell about their travels, and it’s always a pleasure to listen to them. They can also tell you a lot about different cultures and customs, which is always educational and fun.

Cabin crew also tend to be quite adventurous. They’re not afraid to try new things and go to new places. I’ve gone on some incredible trips with my partner, and they’ve always been up for anything.

That’s something that I really appreciate and admire.

Finally, I love how understanding cabin crew can be. They understand that I have a job and that sometimes I need to take care of it.

They don’t take it personally and are always understanding. That’s a quality that I really value.

COMMUTERS REFUSE TO QUEUE AT BISHAN INTERCHANGE, BUS COME “ALL CHIONG AH!”

Facebook user Kei El Douberyu shared how he was at Bishan bus interchange queuing at the railing area while waiting for the bus to come.

However, he noticed that there was nobody queuing with him, with the other commuters all standing near the boarding area instead.

Then later when the bus arrived, all of them straight away rushed to board the bus, blatantly ignoring those who had made the effort to queue up, effectively cutting their queue.

Kai then called out the people and said that Bishan has the “worst” bus interchange, adding that only the “non-Bishaners will gong gong go and queue” as he scolded them for being uncultured.

Here is what he said

Been to a lot of bus interchanges. Bishan is the worst. Railings installed for people to queue but nobody queue. Instead all stand around the boarding area.

When bus come, all chiong ah! First time there I thought was only one off incident. I gong gong go and queue up, thinking how come this bus service got no business.

Then I saw what happened. These people even ignore me who was in the queue. Subsequent visit, same thing happens.

Only the non-Bishaners will gong gong go and queue (like my 1st time). Bishan people, shame on you! So uncultured and boorish!

People from Clementi, Boon Lay, Woodlands, Bedok, Pasir Ris,…are more civilised than you people living on former dead corpse land.

Owners of Srisun are supporters of Manchester United

The owners of Srisun are supports of Manchester United and they said that the offer was to make up for the trashing which Manchester United suffered.

Director of Srisun Express, Jayanthi Sundar mentioned that most fans were likely to be disappointed with the trashing and giving the free pratas away could hopefully bring some cheer back to these fans.

Staff could handle the extra workload

In response to media queries, Jayanthi said that about 10,000 to 12,000 pratas were prepared to be given away and they started giving them away at 12:30pm.

Sea of red at the outlets

Jayanthi also said that the outlets were filled with people donning red, the colour of the jersey of Manchester United.

The common topic at the outlets was how did the trashing turn into a bonding moment for the fans.

At the end of the day, more than 960 diners claimed about 6,789 pratas.

MANAGER FORCE INTERN MEI MEI TO WORK OT SO HE CAN BE ALONE WITH HER

0

I was an intern at a small, local business, and I was excited to have the opportunity to learn from my manager. I had heard good things about him from other interns, so I was looking forward to working with him.

End up I would soon be the subject of my manager’s unwanted advances.

It started with small things. He would comment on my appearance in an inappropriate way or make inappropriate jokes when no one else was around. I tried to ignore it, thinking I was just being overly sensitive.

But then, one day, he asked me to stay late and help him with a project. I was reluctant, but he said it was important and he didn’t want anyone else to know what we were doing.

I stayed late, and then he started making advances towards me. He tried to kiss me and touch me inappropriately.

I was so shocked and scared that I couldn’t move. I was frozen in place as he continued to make advances towards me. I wanted to scream and run away, but I couldn’t.

Finally, I mustered up the courage to tell him to stop. I didn’t want to make a scene, so I just said it in a firm voice.

He stopped, but he looked angry. He said that I should be grateful for the extra hours and that he was my manager and I had to do what he said.

He then stormed out of the office, leaving me alone and terrified in the dark.

I was so angry and scared that I couldn’t think straight. I knew I had to report this to someone, but I was afraid of what would happen if I did.

I decided to talk to a female friend who had a similar experience. She told me that I should definitely report it and that I should go to the HR department.

I was scared, but I knew I had to do something. I went to HR and told them what had happened. They were understanding and supportive and said that they would investigate the matter.

In the end, my manager was reprimanded and that’s it!

I’m thinking if I should make a Police case out of it. But I don’t want any bad evaluation from the company.

GRAB DRIVER DRIVES A NISSAN GTR, SAYS HE MANAGED TO AFFORD IT BY SAVING MONEY

TikTok user @koocester posted a video on 6 March of himself interviewing a Nissan GTR driver and asking him what he does for a living, and as it turns out, the man says that he works as a Grab driver.

The TikToker is known for going around Singapore and asking luxury car owners what they do for a living and how they can afford their expensive rides, as well as asking for life advice.

He was seen in the video approaching a white coloured Nissan GTR and asking the driver “do you mind if I ask what do you do for a living?”

The driver then casually replies that “I’m just a Grab driver bro,” much to the surprise of the TikToker (and netizens as well), who remarked “really?!” The TikToker was audibly surprised at how a Grab driver could afford a GTR.

Alighting from his vehicle, Koocester then asked him “what’s the best financial advice that you can give to someone who’s like 20?”

To which the man told him “save often, don’t just spend your money, spend it wisely, give to your parents,” to which Koocester then remarked that he doesn’t have parents.

Moments later, Koocester then returned to the driver and asked him again, just to be sure, “are you actually a Grab driver?” Which the man confirmed, before adding that apart from driving Grab, he also does Lalamove deliveries.

The TikToker then asked the Grab driver “but then how do you afford a GTR?” to which the man said “you need to save, seriously. You got a long way to go, you can save a lot of money.

So there you go kids, save money and spend it wisely, and one day you too can afford a GTR yourself.

MAN PICKS UP MAID FROM SUPERMARKET, GETS FREE ‘PIAK’ & CLOTHES WASHED

0

I’d never thought I’d be that kind of guy, but here I am.

It all started with a chance encounter at NTUC. I was doing my grocery shopping like I always do, and as I was pushing my trolley down the aisle, I bumped into this stunningly gorgeous girl.

I apologized and she smiled back at me. I couldn’t help but admire her beauty. She told me she was a maid working in Singapore and that she was on her break. We exchanged numbers and I asked her out for a date.

To my surprise, she accepted. We went out for dinner and had a great time. I was so smitten by her that I couldn’t take my eyes off her. We kept talking for hours and I ended up revealing to her that I was actually a bit short on money.

She nodded and said she understood.

That’s when she offered to help me out. She told me she could come over to my house and do my laundry and clean my house in exchange for free S. I was taken aback at first but then I thought about it for a moment and realized that it was a great deal.

She was offering me a way to save money and get some S in the process.

So I accepted her offer. The next day she came over and got to work. She washed my clothes, mopped the floor, and dusted the furniture. I was amazed at how efficient she was. After she was done, she asked me to take her to bed.

I wasn’t sure what to expect but it turned out to be an incredible experience. We had amazing S and I felt like I had finally found someone who was willing to go the extra mile for me.
