BADGE LADY SAYS CCTV FOOTAGE OF HER NOT WEARING MASK “COULD HAVE BEEN SOMEONE ELSE”

0

55-year-old Phoon Chiu Yoke, more famously known in Singapore as the badge lady, previously claimed trial after she was accused of not wearing a mask on 6 March along Orchard Road, contesting 4 charges against her.

She was in court earlier today where she objected to CCTV footage being admitted into evidence, saying that her image might have been superimposed into the video.

Today was the 2nd day of the trial and an ancillary hearing to determine whether footage of Phoon walking along Orchard without a mask had been tampered with, with Phoon testifying that it could have been edited.

Phoon said that the video doesn’t come with a watermark, and she can’t be sure that her image wasn’t superimposed onto the CCTV footage, claiming that it isn’t that difficult with today’s technology.

She added that “it could have been me, it could have been somebody who looked like me.

The CCTV footage was of her walking around Mandarin Gallery in Orchard Road from 3.02pm to 3.04pm on 6 March 2022 without a mask on, and the other one was a similar maskless video of her walking past a Victoria’s Secret outlet from 3.35pm to 3.37pm.

The CCTV footage was then played for her from a different angle, with Deputy Public Prosecutor Heershan Kaur saying “now that we have a clearer view, it is clearly you in your yellow loafers and sunglasses right?”

To which Phoon said that she wasn’t sure, adding that the pair of loafers were from Ecco or Clarks and she is sure they do not only sell to one person or make only one size.

DPP Kaur then asked Phoon if the black sunglasses in the video belonged to her, to which she said “every pair of sunglasses is black.”

DPP later said that Phoon was deliberately being a difficult and evasive witness following several exchanges where Phoon didn’t answer the prosecution’s question directly, to which Phoon disagreed.

A security team leader at Hilton Singapore Orchard who was in charge of the security at the Mandarin Gallary testified that the CCTV cameras were working fine and that he didn’t alter, amend or edit the footage.

The video was ultimately admitted into evidence, as the trial against Phoon continues.

DRUG LORD GETS PLASTIC SURGERY INTO “HANDSOME KOREAN MAN” TO AVOID POLICE, BUT STILL CAUGHT

0

25-year-old Thai drug lord, Sarahat Sawangjaeng, underwent multiple plastic surgeries to turn himself into a “handsome Korean man” in an attempt to avoid being caught by the police.

However, he still ended up being arrested by the police in Bangkok on 24 February, despite his extensive attempts to disguise himself.

He had gone through plastic surgery numerous times to change his face, as well as changing his name to JImin Cheong.

According to Thaiger, the drug lord who had imported MDMA (a psychoactive drug more commonly known as Ecstacy) into Thailand from Europe, was arrested at a condominium in the Bang Na district of Europe.

He had been on the run from the police since December 2022 and was eventually nabbed after an undercover police officer pretended to be interested in working for him as a drug mule.

The police were reportedly shocked when they arrested him at the condominium, as he had transformed his appearance with “none of his original face left”.

The police knew what Sarahat looked like originally due to his past arrest records, where he had been arrested three times before.

He confessed to buying the drugs from the Dark Web using Bitcoin and selling them to his customer base around Bangkok.

He was described as being one of the main causes of Bangkok’s MDMA epidemic by Thailand’s Police Major-General Thammasutee.

Thammasutee said that he is a drug lord who imported MDMA from Europe at just 25 years old and that they believe there are more suspects in foreign countries.

At the time of writing, the police are still investigating.

YP NOWADAYS MORE DANGEROUS, USE WEAPONS TO FIGHT UNLIKE YPs OF THE PAST

0

I remember when I was younger, the only thing I had to worry about when getting into a fight with another yp was maybe a few bruises from our fistfight.

We’d just throw a few punches, maybe a kick or two, and then walk away. It was all cool after a while and no one ever got seriously hurt. But things are different now.

YPs nowadays all crazy, use weapons instead of fists

Young punks nowadays are more dangerous than ever before because they seem to be using weapons during confrontations.

It’s like they have no regard for the consequences of their actions. I’ve seen them pull knives on each other and it’s really scary. They don’t even think twice about using deadly force.

I witnessed a fight between two groups of people previously. It was a real mess and I noticed that many of the members had penknives with them. I froze as I watched them draw the penknives and point it at their opponents.

I guess the days are gone where people still had regard for the lives of others.

Sad that they have all became like this

It’s sad to think that young punks are so willing to resort to violence and weapons in order to get what they want. It’s a sign of the times, I suppose, but it’s still a dangerous and frightening situation.

Unfortunately, I don’t think young punks are going to stop using weapons anytime soon. They seem to think they can get away with it and that they won’t suffer any consequences. But the reality is that they could end up in prison or worse, they could end up dead.

I hope that young punks come to their senses soon and realize that using weapons isn’t the answer. Maybe then, the streets will be a safer place.

Until then, all I can do is look out for myself and stay away from any potential trouble.

OLD SCAMS RESURFACING, SCAMMERS USE LALAMOVE TO LURE VICTIMS WITH ‘TIPS’

0

A screenshot of a scam on what appears to be on the Lalamove delivery app has recently resurfaced again, leading the netizen who posted the screenshot online to warn others that such scams are still ongoing.

The netizen also wonders if people still fall prey to such scams.

Promises a ‘tip’ for remitting money

The scams would come in the form of delivery requests on the Lalamove platform, and would often start from a random location to where the ‘scammer’ says he is at.

The scammer would then include a note to give instructions to the scam victim.

In the note included in the delivery request, the scammer would ask the delivery personnel to go to any Western Union outlet to make a remittance of a certain amount and then after making the remittance to meet at another location to get the promised ‘tip’.

The tip typically would be a few hundred dollars, which to many would be considered a good sum for an easy ‘job’.

After going to the scammer’s location to get the promised ‘tip’, victims would then realise that no one is there to give them the tip and that is when they find out that they have been a victim of a scam.

People who fall prey to these would usually lose a few hundred dollars instead, depending on the amount that the remit for these scammers.

The brawl broke out on Saturday morning, 25 Feb, and a video of it was soon seen going viral on social media.

Brief details

It started when a few people rained punches on a young man clad in a black top.

MAN IN DEBT BECAUSE HE MADE WIFE & MISTRESS PREGNANT AT THE SAME TIME

0

I never thought this would be my life. In the matter of a few months, I’ve gone from a successful, happily married man to a broken, desperate soul in debt. I have no one to blame but myself. I made a stupid mistake that cost me everything, and now I’m paying the price.

It started went I had an affair

It all started when I began having an affair with a woman from work. We kept our relationship a secret, but it was intense and passionate.

We would meet every week and I was completely in love with her.

Soon after, she got pregnant and little did I know, my wife was also pregnant.

When I found out my wife was pregnant, I was in shock. I had no idea how to tell her the truth about my affair, so I kept it to myself. I felt like a horrible person, but I was also in denial. I wanted to believe that everything would work out in the end.

Found myself with financial burden

Unfortunately, my wife soon found out about the affair, and she was devastated. She left me, taking our unborn child with her and yet still claiming the medical fees incurred from her pregnancy from me.

My mistress also found out about my wife’s pregnancy. She was furious and demanded I take care of her and the baby.

I agreed, but I had no idea how I was going to pay for it all. I had already taken out a second mortgage on our home in order to finance the affair, and now I was even more in debt.

I was desperate. I took out a loan and used my car as collateral. I knew this was a bad idea, but I felt like I had no other choice. I had to make sure my mistress and her baby were taken care of.

Now I’m stuck in an endless cycle of debt. I’m barely scraping by and I’m constantly worried about being unable to pay my bills. I regret my decision every single day. I wish I could go back and undo the damage I’ve caused, but it’s too late. I’m in too deep and there’s no way out.

My life has been ruined because of my own stupidity. I made my wife and my mistress pregnant at the same time and now I’m paying the price. I only hope that one day I can find a way to make things right.

GIRL DESPERATE TO ‘HOOK UP’, CHANGE TARGET EVERY 5 MINS IF GUY TAKES IT ‘SLOW’

0

I am a girl who loves to have fun. I like to go out, meet new people, and have a great time. I also love to flirt and can be quite seductive.

The problem is that I get too desperate to hook up with guys. As soon as I see someone I’m attracted to, I’m all over him, trying to make it happen.

I only give them 5 mins to make a move on me

I don’t take no for an answer and I’m always on the lookout for the next guy.

As long as the guy is too slow in taking initiative within five minutes like if he does not put his arm around me or establish some sort of physical contact, I’ll move on to the other guy.

I felt like I was in control and that I could get any guy I wanted. But after a while, it just got tiring. I was always disappointed when the guy didn’t take the initiative or didn’t show any interest in me immediately

I started to realize that this wasn’t the way to get what I wanted. I was too desperate and it was scaring guys away.

They probably think that I have STDs or something because I’m so ‘easy’.

Decided to change my game plan

I decided to make some changes. I started to be more patient and to take things slower.

Instead of trying to hook up with a guy right away, I tried to get to know him first. I also started to look for guys who were more interested in me and were willing to take the initiative.

I also realized that changing my target every five minutes was too short as most guys will just beat about the bush and are more ‘humji’.

I was too eager and it showed.

So now, I’m more selective about the guys I go after. I make sure that I get to know them first and that they’re interested in me before I make any moves. I’m also more patient and I give the guy more time to take the initiative.

This eventually worked well for me, as doing so make me able to be able to ‘hook up’ with more guys.

MAN KEEPS LYING TO HIS GF BECAUSE SHE’S NOT AS ATTRACTIVE COMPARED TO HIS EX

0

Valentine’s day is here and for those that are bummed out about being single, I’m here as a happily attached person to tell you, it’s not worth it being too sad about this.

I know of a couple who just celebrated their first anniversary this month and the bf is actively hiding impt problematic stuff from his gf.

She has no clue about this because he’s a very experienced liar that knows how to play the sunk cost fallacy game. She also doesn’t know how little she’s getting out of a partner (in terms of interest and effort; I’m not talking about money btw) just bcos he is less attracted to her physically, compared to his ex.

People showing their happy moments online doesn’t mean they’re happy

Just because you see people’s romantic couple stuff online, doesn’t mean that their relationship is an enviable one to be in.

We are all flawed people finding a way to get what we want in this world. The reality is that even if you’re a mature person that trusts your partner, it doesn’t mean they won’t take advantage of you.

You could very well be taken on a ride by a person who knows how to play the relationship game well. Your maturity might be exploited because you are healthy enough not to overthink/second guess your partner.

So love yourself a little more, and don’t beat yourself up if you are single.

Its okay to take your time to find the right one

Regardless of your gender, trust your gut and don’t despair just cos you haven’t found “the one”. Aiming for perfection is unrealistic but that doesn’t mean you should settle for anything less than you deserve.

It’s also important to pay attention to what’s not being said instead of letting someone’s sweet talk/behaviour deceive you from seeing what type of person he/she actually is.

The last thing you wanna be, is taken for a fool in a relationship that you are going to be giving so much to.
