My boyfriend talks in his sleep a lot, and sleep-sang me a lullaby the other night.

I usually go to bed 1-3 hours after he goes to sleep, and he often reacts to me getting into bed with him either by grabbing onto me and snuggling, muttering some incoherent nonsensical sentence, or mumbling loving things. Then there’s the times where he would randomly sit straight up in bed, tear the blanket off of me, angrily flap it around in the air and then put it back on me saying “That one wasn’t real, this is the real blanket, you’re welcome” and doesn’t remember any of this the morning after. It’s honestly fecking hilarious when he does the weird sleep-talking, and I wish I wrote down more of the weird things he says and does.

The other night, I was really struggling with a lot of things. I more or less lost my entire family last year due to a falling out and it’s something I’ve been grieving a lot lately. Some days are just tougher to get through, you know? I went to bed pretty late that night, had some soft sniffles because of feeling sad, and he rolled over, scooped me up, and started singing me a lullaby – specifically, “You are my sunshine”. He sang the whole song, kissed my forehead, and flopped back into a regular sleeping pattern. He didn’t remember any of it the next morning, like most of these little incidents, but I did.

It honestly meant so much to me.

What should I do? Boyfriend grinded someone at the club

Boyfriend went clubbing with his friends, grinded someone and did not tell me. Was exposed by his friend and subsequently admitted.

Asked about what he would do with his clubbing plans next month (booked wayyyy before this incident) and he said he doesn’t want to cancel it.

What do I do now? Am I being overly sensitive for thinking that this is cheating and worthy of a breakup? What do you guys think. I’m in a mess rn.

Choose a good ex wife

My relationship with my partner and his kids with his ex wife were fine, great even, until the ex wife started bad mouthing about me to the kids.

I have been with my partner for a few years now, I think we are perfect, but I have delaying the idea of marriage with him mainly because I don’t know how to deal with fact that once we are married, his kids are a permanent part of my life. Currently we still have our own lives, our own family and friends activities that we don’t always bring each other as a plus one or the kids. But there were times where we talked about activities and kids arrangements, they just don’t line up always. I can’t imagine one day he have to be away for his kids with his ex wife and I am not invited, our kids are not invited. It feels like he is having two separate families. I never imagined a marriage life where we are not one.

I used to like the kids, taking them as my own until the ex wife bad mouthed me to the kids and we became no longer that close. It sparks me to think what’s the point of all those time spent building relationship with the kids when at the end of the day, they are always closer to their biological mum. I also can’t imagine what if one day the kids said somethings that make our kids feel troubled, I wouldn’t know how to react.

I don’t want to be a selfish person to tell my partner to focus more energy, time, effort, money, basically everything on our own relationship. But this is my honest feelings. I know how much it will hurt him to be trapped in the middle. But I also can’t go against my feelings.

I know they are innocent, there is still a possibility that they will come to appreciate me in the many years to come but these are all possibilities, there’s no certainty.

I am just so upset that why, why is his ex wife such a person.

To all the single man out there, when you choose a wife, make sure that you are certain of her character that if things turns sour, she remains a nice decent lady.

To all the divorcee, you will never know how important it is to mend relationship with your exes and seek common understanding. Otherwise, the brutal truth is you need to pick a path for life forward.

So I am currently on an internship with a company and was lucky enough to meet quite a few interns from the same university as me.

We were chatting one day and for some reason the conversation gradually shift to BTO balloting. Then I realise everyone there except me are applying BTO with their partner. Which also mean everyone is attached except for me.😨😱

For the first time I was slapped with the realisation that I am super duper behind in life. Like people of my age are applying for BTO and getting ready for marriage while here I am fooling and trolling around irl and online like a mentally unstable immature kid.

One top of having ZERO relationship experience, I also have ZERO dating experience too. I went out with a couple female friends before but I won’t call it a date since we are just hanging out like good friends. They simply see me as a bro. Since ngl, I am a pretty funny guy irl. Always make them laugh. But that’s all. I have set up profiles on dating apps like tinder and CMB but no luck there. I am SUPER sure it is my profile picture and height that is screwing me.

Still got a few likes but are from dudes. Yeah like are you kidding me. Can you imagine my face when I receive a LIKE notifications and it is a dude profile!?

At this rate I am pretty much set to be single for life and die alone in a HDB. So I hope people who chose not to marry and stay single give me some inputs too. Like how to stay happy and content with life while being alone.

When I first started dating my current boyfriend, I was so excited. I had finally found someone who was interested in me, and I was eager to start a family.

Little did I know that my son, who I had from a previous relationship, was going to be an issue for us.

When I told my boyfriend about my son, he was very understanding. He said he didn’t mind that my son wasn’t his real son and he said he was willing to do whatever it took to make us all a family. I was so relieved and I thought I had found a man who would accept my son and love him as his own and we quickly got married.

But over time, I started to notice a change in my boyfriend’s behavior around my son. He was always very distant and cold towards him, and he would often ignore my son when he tried to talk to him or engage him in conversation. I tried to overlook it, but it was becoming increasingly obvious that he was not treating my son with the same level of respect and love as he was treating our other children.

When I finally asked him about it, he denied it and said he was just trying to make sure he was being a good stepfather. But it was clear that he was not treating my son the same way he was treating our other children, and it was becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.

I finally confronted him about it and he finally admitted that he was having a hard time accepting my son because he wasn’t his real son.

I was heartbroken. I had hoped that my boyfriend would be able to look past the fact that my son wasn’t his real son and love him as if he were. But it was clear that he was struggling with the idea of being a stepfather, and it was affecting the way he was treating my son.

I told my boyfriend that I understood his feelings and that I was willing to work with him to make sure he felt comfortable being a stepfather. We started talking more about his feelings and our expectations for our relationship. We also started spending more time together as a family, so my boyfriend could get to know my son better and start to form a bond with him.

It’s been almost a year since we started this process, and I’m happy to say that my boyfriend has come a long way. He’s still not quite as affectionate with my son as he is with our other children, but he is trying to be a better stepfather and is showing more warmth and kindness towards my son.

I’m so grateful that my boyfriend was willing to work with me and try to make things work. It hasn’t been easy, and there have been some tough moments along the way, but I’m glad that he was willing to put in the effort to make our family work.

I was in a deep sleep when I heard the sound of the coffee machine brewing.

I woke up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee and assumed my wife had made it for me. I love having coffee in the morning and it’s something my wife and I do together. So, I got out of bed and made my way to the kitchen.

But when I got there, I noticed something strange. My wife was standing at the counter with a bottle of laxative and a strange smirk on her face. As she saw me enter the room, she quickly hid the bottle behind her back and said she was just making my coffee.

At first, I didn’t think much of it but then I started to get suspicious. I knew my wife was usually up before me and she would usually make the coffee without any help. So why was she making it with a bottle of laxative in her hand? I asked her what she was doing and she just said she wanted to make sure my coffee was extra strong.

That’s when I realized what she was up to. I knew she was trying to stop me from going out and drinking beer with my friends. We had been having a few arguments recently about how much time I was spending away from home. My wife wanted me to spend more time with her and the kids. She thought if I was drinking beer with my friends all the time, I would end up neglecting my family.

So, she had come up with a plan to make sure I stayed home. She had decided to spike my coffee with laxative. She thought if I was too busy running to the bathroom, I wouldn’t be able to go out and drink beer with my friends.

At first, I was angry but then I started to feel bad. I knew my wife was only trying to protect our family. So, I decided not to say anything and just pretend like nothing had happened.

The next morning, I woke up feeling terrible. I had a stomach ache and I had to run to the bathroom every few minutes. I knew immediately what had happened, but I didn’t want to make a big fuss about it. So, I just stayed home and spent the day with my wife and kids.

I was mad at my wife for what she had done but I also understood why she did it. I knew she was only trying to protect us and I appreciated that. We eventually talked about it and she apologized for her actions. We agreed to find better ways to communicate in the future and make sure I spend more time at home.

So, that’s the story of how my wife tried to stop me from going out and drinking beer with my friends. I know it was wrong at the time but I’m glad we were able to work it out. Now, I’m more conscious of how much time I spend away from home and I make sure to spend quality time with my family.
