Facebook user Ong Boon shared a letter that a taxi driver received from the Land Transport Authority, about his failed appeal against his written warning.
He had received a warning letter for not searching his taxi for any items left behind by the passenger at the end of the trip.

We refer to your appeal dated 11 October 2022, made through Ms Tin Pei Ling. MP for Macpherson SMC.
Our investigation findings reveal that on 9 July 2022 at about 1.26pm, you failed to search your taxi for any property left by the passenger at the end of the trip. Hence, our investigation finds you liable for the offence of “Failing to search vehicle for any property accidentally left by the hirer” under rule 39(1 ) of the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers. Conductors, Trishaw Riders and Passengers) (“PSVC”) Rules. A written warning was issued to you on 28 September 2022.
For clarification, rule 39(1) of the PSVC states that the driver of a vehicle shall as far as practicable, search the vehicle for any property left in the vehicle immediately before or on the termination of any journey. Failing to do so constitutes an offence under the PSVC.
We are satisfied with our investigation findings that you are indeed liable for the offence. Hence, we are unable to rescind the written warning.

A video emerged online showing a woman crying after her Labrador puppy ate more than $2,000 of her husband’s cash.
The TikTok user, @kimkruk, shared a video of the incident, showing the aftermath with the money all chewed up into pieces.
She filmed the money before panning it to the dog, who appeared oblivious to what she has done, before panning the camera to herself sniffling and crying.
She captioned her video:

She explained in a video update that her husband works in construction and was doing a side job where he was paid $2,700 in cash, which was left on the table.
The dog chewed about $2,400 of the cash, leaving them with about $300 left.
A woman shared how she bought a new air purifier back in February, and it broke down after she replaced the filter in June.
A technician went down to check on the issue but couldn’t fix it, and she was then given another unit as a replacement.
She then replaced the filter 4 months later and the same issue happened again.

The technician come down and he too can’t rectify the issue and I was given a brand new unit as replacement.
4 months later in Oct, I replaced the filter and the same issue occurred again. I WhatsApp them again and get the same replies of doing all the reset, delete, dl the app, on and off the unit for a whole night. Nothing could be fix to solve the problem. The technician came down and he too could not sync the unit to his phone and left with the unit unable to sync to my phone.
They even could blame because I’m using iPhone. Later, they concluded that it’s glitch in the app that they will take time to rectify it. So I will have to bear with it.
This is not acceptable. Now I’m stuck with a unit that is not functioning. It’s sitting as a white elephant with no purpose.
I given them till today to reply me for my refund or replace a new unit with no answer.
The most lousy after service and consumer have to bear the defect which they failed in their quality check.
