AIR STEWARD SAYS RESTAURANT IN KOREA INITIALLY REFUSED SERVICE BECAUSE THEY LOOKED PRC

0

An air steward recently shared that while on a flight pattern to Seoul, South Korea, back in 2020 just before the start of the pandemic, a fellow air stewardess and himself were initially refused service by a Korean BBQ restaurant over there just because they looked ‘PRC’.

Here is what he said

I did a flight to Seoul back in 2020 January, just before the pandemic got really serious.

At that time, the situation was a little more tense in Korea.

Masks were going at the street for a box of 30 for almost 100SGD and a bottle of hand sanitiser of an unknown Korean brand was going as high as 30SGD.

My batch girl who happened to be on the same flight as me had asked me to go for Korean BBQ for lunch while we were on the flight and when we landed and showered, we headed out immediately.

We took a train to Hongdae and walked around looking for a Korean BBQ restaurant which looked appealing and finally found one.

As we were approaching the entrance of the restaurant, a Korean Ajumma quickly ran over to the door to close the door shut and kept saying that they are ‘not opened’ even though there were patrons inside occupying a few tables.

We then tried asking how come there are people eating inside if it was not opened and she just kept on going ‘No No No’.

After a while, a younger chap who was also working there came over and spoke English to us and asked us if we were from China.

We replied that we are from Singapore and he asked to see our Passports.

When we showed him our passports, he smile and shouted to other staff in the restaurant something in Korean which we deciphered it to be ‘Oh they are from Singapore’.

Suddenly, they opened the door and ushered us in and all the staff there became very warm and welcoming towards us.

The younger chap then apologised and explained to us that the older staff there assumed that we were from China and associated us with the pandemic and was afraid that we were carrying the virus and would eventually pass the virus to them.

CHILDREN AS YOUNG AS 9 SEEN SMOKING CANNABIS IN THE STREETS OF THAILAND

0

Facebook user Kritiwat Matrong, shared photos of children in Thailand opening smoking marijuana using bamboo pipes on a beach in the Chon Buri province of eastern Thailand, according to The Thaiger.

He said that he saw the children between the ages of 9 to 10 smoking while he was on his way to see some fireworks in Pattaya.

The man said that he approached the kids and warns them against smoking, and one of the kids then purportedly told him “my father is a soldier, I’m not scared of you.”

Matrong then reported the children to the authorities.

He said in his post, “I know now ganja is free, but shouldn’t we have boundaries? I pity these children, they are still young.”

Cannabis was legalised in Thailand back in June, but there has been little to no legislation to regulate its use by young children.

One of the laws is that cannabis cannot be used or sold by anyone under 20, but the drug is so accessible that it can reportedly be bought from street vendors, resulting in some kids getting their hands on some.

34 Y.O PRC RAPIST PREYED ON 20 GIRLS, JAILED 31 YEARS AND CANED 24 STROKES

0

Lin Rongxin, a 34-year-old Chinese national who worked in Singapore as a machinery technician, was sentenced on 5 December to 31 years imprisonment and 24 strokes of the cane for exploiting 20 young girls and women in Singapore via an extortion scheme.

Lin had pleaded guilty to 7 charges which included rape, making threats, and instigating a victim to make voyeuristic videos; he had another 57 charges considered during his sentencing, according to The Straits Times.

Background

Lin, who is a married man with a son, targeted girls between the ages of 14 and 19 who were from China but studying in Singapore.

He met these victims on apps like WeChat and TanTan using fake personas, making them send him explicit videos and pictures, and he would sometimes engage in self-stimulation activities with the victims on camera.

He would then blackmail the victims into sending him more obscene videos or money, threatening to upload their videos if they didn’t.

Using his fake persona, he would ask them to sleep with another man, who was actually Lin himself without the victims knowing.

Some of the victims ended up being in an intimate relationship with him.

Lin was also suffering from STDs including Herpes and Hepatitis B while he was having intercourse with 5 of the victims.

Lin lives with his wife and a 3-year-old son in a dormitory here in Singapore.

GUY HAPPY THAT JAPAN GOT KNOCKED OUT OF WORLD CUP BECAUSE HE LOST MONEY

0

An anonymous person wrote in to us to share that he is very happy that Japan got knocked out of the World Cup last night after losing on penalties to Croatia.

According to him, this was because Japan has caused him to lose a lot of money in the World Cup and when he finally decided to support Japan again, they let him down.

Here is what he said

Finally, Japan is out of the World Cup!

I know most people would want Japan to qualify because other than South Korea, Japan is the only other Asian representative in the World Cup but not for me.

All in all in Japan’s 4 World Cup games, I have lost a total of almost $8000.

In Japan’s first game against Germany which they won 2-1, I lost because they came back against Germany.

I then lost again in their second game when I thought Japan would beat Costa Rica.

Then when I decided to bet on Spain to win against Japan, they had to come back again and finally in the game against Croatia, I had bought them to qualify to the next round and they let me down again!

What’s worst is that Japan scored first and missed three penalties behind.

Pui!

If not for Japan, I would have at least break even in my betting.

NEW COVID WAVE & VARIANTS EXPECTED FROM YEAR-END TRAVEL, MOH MONITORING SITUATION

0

Minister of Health Ong Ye Kung said that with the expected increase in travel due to the year-end holidays, the number of Covid cases is expected to spike.

He also warned that there will be potentially new variants emerging, as he used the Covid situation in China as an example.

Ong was speaking at an event by the Chinese Development Assistance Council (CDAC) at Nanyang Junior College on Sunday.

He said that Covid cases might increase due to the end-of-year travel but added that it isn’t something that Singapore hasn’t experienced before.

He added that the government will continue to monitor the developments overseas, citing Beijing’s Covid situation.

He said that more and more people are infected in China, and given their huge population and density, there will be new variants of concern.

On Singapore, he said that our direction has been very clear for the past year, and that we would open up further whenever possible.

He said that “we are left with few restrictions and life has pretty much returned to normal, but we should take another step forward where we can.”

GIRL INSIST THAT SHE GETS IPHONE FOR HER CHRISTMAS PRESENT, BF TELLS HER TO “SELL BODY”

0

My girlfriend treats me like a cash cow every time.

We have only been together for about three months and while I am okay to pay for meals and dates, I seriously dislike the fact that every time she sees something she likes and wants to get it, she would not want to get it by herself and would instead pester me to buy it for her.

In these three months that we were together, I have already bought her an LV bag, a YSL wallet, a few Chanel accessories and even her lingerie and all these are branded.

All in all plus food and dates, I have already spent more than 10 thousand SGD on her in these three months.

Been recently pestering me for an iPhone 14

Recently, she has been starting to pester me to get an iPhone 14.

At the initial stage when the iPhone 14 came out to the market, she has already been talking about its features and shown that she is very fond of it.

At that time, I already started to act blur and pretended that I don’t know that she wants the iPhone 14.

She must have known that I am acting blur which was why she has been more direct recently in telling me that she wants the iPhone 14.

She also used the upcoming Christmas as an excuse, saying that I can always get her the iPhone 14 as an advance Christmas present.

Even though I could afford to get her an iPhone 14, I am sick of her always taking things for granted and treating me like a cash cow.

Out of anger, I told her in her face that if she really wants to get an iPhone 14, she can always sell her body to others to raise money for it.

I might sound very harsh but I think she really deserves it.
