GF MAKE BF DRIVE HALFWAY TO TOWN & CANCELS THE DATE JUST TO TEST HIM

0

My girlfriend told me that she tested me by cancelling a date when we first started to go out. It was the date when we were kinda planning to hook up for the first time. For context, She lives in town area while I have a 40 min drive.

She waited until I was halfway to town before cancelling. I remember texting her as I got into the car and telling her I was on my way and she still waited until I was halfway to Orchard.

She had a lot of opportunities to cancel before I had driven half an hour. The date being cancelled sucked but she told me she was feeling sick and I told her it was okay and told her to get better. I had also asked her if she wanted me to come over and she said she didn’t want to.

She told me that it was a big moment for our relationship as she found that I am very considerate but honestly I get why she wanted to test me but I really am angry about the way she tested me. She had no consideration for my time and effort. it was as if she really wanted to inconvenience me to see how I would react.

I told her that it was pretty inconsiderate to wait until I had driven halfway to cancel and she had been really inconsiderate in the way she tested me.

She apologized half-heartedly and then said it was not a big deal and it has been 4 months. I told her it was a big deal to me and we had an argument about it. I feel bad afterwards cause it feels really small thing to get mad about.

Here are what netizens think

  • Your GF is absolutely garbage, if she has to test it means she is unsure. If she is unsure why did she get official with you.
  • I really don’t think anyone should do these kinds of ‘relationship tests’, because enough things will happen on their own to test a relationship anyway. You will get sick, you will get tired, you will face stressful times. No need to make up tests for that when those things already happen.
  • People normally do test are insecure and people that will cause problems in relationships so please stay away.

HUSBAND COOKS EVERYDAY, WIFE STILL NOT HAPPY TELLS FRIEND HE DON’T COOK

0

I work at a nice restaurant as a cook and every day when I get off from work I always cook dinner for my wife and our 2 kids at the restaurant before coming home.

The only time I don’t cook for them is on weekends when I’m off and that’s when my wife does the cooking. We usually trade off who makes breakfast and luck for the kids every other day but for the week I’m always the one bringing home dinner.

At weekends we sometimes get together with friends and they come over to the house. My wife usually cooks and I help set the table/clean afterwards. One of her friends “Stacy” asked how come I never do any of the cooking and is it always on my wife all the time making meals for the kids, especially when I’m a cook myself.

Instead of correcting her she sort of laughed and went along with it making jokes about “you know how it is.” And Stacy laughed because her ex-husband was the same way. And then sort of ripped on me in a “joking” way how I better buck up before I become an ex too.

My wife just said well let’s see if he actually listens and starts cooking for once. Joking about all the time I spend in the kitchen at work but won’t do the same at home. It really pissed me off. I’m not the husband that just doesn’t do anything after I’m home from work.

I cook food for her and the kids at work AND on top of that I make separate dishes for each of them (what she wants and what the kids want). All that after standing on my feet all day. We talked about it once they left because I don’t appreciate being told I’m not doing something she knows for a fact I do.

She didn’t want to apologize for it because it was all just to be a funny joke. Even after telling her about how it hurt my feelings being put down like that. My wife said she felt like she has to go along with the joke so there wouldn’t be any awkward vibes (whatever that means).

But I said fine if she can’t apologize for something that was mean just so she could laugh along with her friends then I won’t keep doing something she already claims I don’t do. For the past week I’ve only brought home dinner for our kids and she’s had to make her own food. She’s mad that I’m refusing to feed her over what happened instead of letting it go but I can’t help but feel mad about being made fun of like that when I’m working like a dog to provide for my family and still making sure they have food on the table every evening.

She just thinks I’m a bad husband now for how I’m reacting when she’s already tired at the end of the day but still having to make food for herself . Wth..

HUSBAND KEEPS FORCING WIFE TO BLINDFOLD & SIGN PAPER “LIKE A GAME”

0

Ever since I got out of the hospital for chronic problems, My husband has been introducing me to some games every evening. One game used to be about doing things while my eyes are blindfolded. involving puzzles, ruby’s cube, shaped objects et cetra…. We’d take turns to do it just for entertainment.

Just a couple of days ago, he’s been trying to get me to sign papers while wearing a blindfold. I refused to do it because he never lets me take a look at what I’m signing neither before nor after. He says that he was just trying to see if I could leave the same signature every time I sign but I couldn’t help feel uncomfortable.

I told him I don’t want to play this game unless and until he shows me the papers first, he said “nevermind then” and stopped bringing it up.

Last night, he tried to convince me to give it a try and even volunteered to go first, I asked if he was going to show me what I was going to sign and he made a face and said no, it’s the rules and I should respect them.

I refused and he kept on about how I keep acting worried and suspicious for no reason. he said I clearly don’t trust him and he was hurt by finding that out now after everything we been through. We had an argument and I told him to drop it and not bring it up again, period.

He was mad despite saying it was no big deal, he was obviously upset with me and kept talking about how I don’t trust him and that I was out of line to assume or suspect anything from him like this. I might be paranoid but I couldn’t help it. I do think I was ta to him after he stood by my side when my own family didn’t even visit.

Here are what netizens think:

  • It’s a trick, it could be divorce papers
  • It could a paper for u to transfer all assets to him.
  • He might be trying to let you sign something that will benefit him like it could be a will.

STARHUB GETS 6 YEARS EPL BROADCAST RIGHTS IN SPORE

0

A 12 year streak by Singtel for holding the broadcasting rights for the English Premier League (EPL) in Singapore is coming to an end soon, as Starhub announced that they have gotten the rights to broadcast the top football league in the world for the coming six years, starting from the 2022/2023 season.

The 2022/2023 season will begin in August 2022 and pricing details for subscription will be made known in June 2022.

The EPL which features 380 games all season round will be screened on Starhub’s TV, mobile and broadband platforms in HD quality.

Starhub also said that they will have a richer interactive user interface and will feature new features such as Party Watch, split screens and performance statistics.

Football fans who wish to view the games can use the application to sign in, regardless of their broadband or service provider.

Current Singtel customers

Singtel, in response to media queries, said that it is of course disappointing that the company will no longer get to broadcast the EPL after the current season comes to an end.

They also want to reassure customers that they will still get to view EPL games live on Singtel TV with no disruption or unnecessary inconvenience just like how Starhub provided these services for their customers in the previous years when the broadcasting rights were with Singtel.

A measure in August 2011 also states that Pay TV operators have to ensure that any content which are exclusive have to be made available to other Pay TV operators under the Cross-Carriage Measure at the same price which other Pay TV operators pay.

Netizens call out for justice

In Singapore, when a pedestrian is hit by a vehicle it almost 100% the driver’s fault and the driver gets punished for the reckless actions of others.

Many netizens expressed that the lady should be punished heavily stating:

  • punish the law breaker (the jaywalker) not the car driver for he has done nothing wrong.
  • fine the lady..!

Some netizens say no matter what happens driver will get the short end of the stick:

  • IO will tell him failed to lookout for pedestrian.Been there.
  •  that’s the sickening part for a driver when they get involve in accident with Jaywalker.
  • It doesn’t matter. I hit a cyclist at a traffic which the lights was in favour of me but cyclist still dash through without any regards of safety. Still was told by an IO that even if I’m right the case will be against me failure to lookout for a pedestrian/cyclist

NEW JOB SCAM INVOLVING BUYING & SELLING OF MOVIE TICKETS

0

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) has warned the public today (21 Feb) of a job scam that has recently re-emerged into the scene.

This job scam involves the buying and selling of movie tickets.

Modus operandi

Scammers will start this scam by making friends with victims via messaging platforms and tell them that they are money making opportunities via buying or promoting tickets via a website.

After they have signed up for an account, bank details belonging to others would be sent to them for them to transfer money over on the pretext of topping up the account with money to promote the tickets and in that way, they could also earn a commission.

This would convince the victims that the job scheme is legit as the accounts will show the amount of commission that they would receive.

After some time, the victims would be asked to top up for money to get more tasks to complete.

As soon as they have deposited more money, they would realise that they will be unable to withdraw any amount of money from their accounts.

Police statement

189 of such scams has already been reported from the beginning of 2022.

The SPF have also urged the public not to accept job offers from anyone that appear dubious and promise bountiful returns with little efforts put in.

The public is also advised not to download applications from suspicious sources and not send money to unknown people or sources.

AMAZON CALL CENTRE SCAM, WOMAN TOLD TO ALLOW ACCESS TO HER DEVICE

With the number of scams happening in Singapore, it is not surprising that we have both local and overseas scammers trying to make a quick buck from us.

A woman recently shared a India call centre scam and how she avoided it:

An Indian lady called me and said she’s from amazon. She was in a noisy call center environment and said I placed an order for an ipad and wanted to confirm it with me. Then asked if i want to cancel or proceed. I said i want to cancel. She said ok and said i need to follow some steps to cancel and her manager will guide me thru. She said just don’t give any personal or bank details.

She then asked me to get ready a computer device.i said i can just use my mobile phone.then she asked what OS was I using, and i replied android.i found it weird so i asked what name is the purchase made under.she never answered me and directed me to her manager.

Th manager is an Indian guy, i asked again for the name and he said that scammers likely created a fake account for this and asked me if my device is ready.i asked him to run thru the steps he wans me to do before i do it..He avoided answering.

What the scammer tried to do:

The scammer will normally ask the victim to install an app so they are able to remotely access the device and trick the victim into entering credit card details at an account created by the scammer.

After the credit card has been added, they will proceed to buy as many gift cards and high valued items as gold.

By the time the woman realised it, it would be too late. As the Amazon account belong to the scammer, the victim will have no way to cancel the order.

SECURITY GUARD TRIED TO SOLICIT BRIBE FROM GUY WHO DID NOT CHECK IN

0

33 year old Malaysian, Ganesan Gunasagaran was charged in court for trying to solicit a bribe, putting someone in fear of harm by extorting the person as well as impersonating a Police Officer.

At the time of his offence on 19 Oct 2021, Ganesan was working as a senior security officer along 119 West Coast Crescent at Seahill Condominium.

His alleged actions

A man had went into the Condominium when Ganesan was on duty without checking in via his Tracetogether application and this was when Ganesan struck.

He first tried to solicit a bribe from the man before telling him that he was working undercover as a high-ranking officer inside the Police’s Licensing Sector.

Subsequently, he tried to extort a sum of $10,000 from the man and also told the man that investigations will be taken against him for entering the condo illegally as he did not check in via Tracetogether and also for illegally having relations with a student inside the condo’s toilet.

Did everything on Whatsapp

Ganesan in court spoke through a Tamil interpreter and said that his mistakes were because the communications were all through Whatsapp.

He said that he had only asked the guy how come he did what he did and asked if he had done this before elsewhere.

He admitted to his doings but said that he did not receive any monetary gains in the end.

He also said that he was not intending to plead guilty and because of that the case is now fixed for a pre-trial conference.

A bail of $20,000 was offered to Ganesan and he is set to return to court the following month.
