RESIDENT’S SLIPPERS CAUGHT ON CCTV MOVING EERILY ON ITS OWN OUTSIDE MAN’S HOME

0

Facebook use DV’s Arthur Lim, posted onto his Facebook page showing an eerie video that was captured on his CCTV outside his home in Kuala Lumpur.

In the CCTV footage, his slippers could be seen moving by themselves outside his front door, with the slipper on the left suddenly turning clockwise.

Everything else remained perfectly still, save for that one slipper moving by itself – the other footwear that were outside didn’t move at all.

Shortly after the initial movement, the slippers then moved again, albeit being less noticeable this time.

Netizens’ comments

  • throw some rice outside your corridor …see got foot print or not next day…
  • Go temple pray pray first….
  • Just your friendly invisible neighbour helping you put your shoes together
  • From my perspective, it’s easily explained with physics. The slippers were curved, meaning it’s contact area is very limited. By the way how it turns, and by the weather lately, that turning movement appears to be consistent with corridor drafts. The other slipper moved based on the same principle and stopped until it has achieved maximum resistance or contact point.
confirm wind, i have similar slippers and due to the shape and lightness wind easily can swivel the slippers
  • To all those saying simi “wind” la “physics” la, then how come only one side of the slipper moving by itself? So physics and wind only applies to one of the slipper only? You all blind or wat

Among the complaints was from TikTok user Wilson Lee who shared a video of the car that mounted the kerb, captioning it:

“I have seen so many cars mount and get stuck at this road island at this particular junction in Bedok North, this car certainly won’t be the last.”

East Coast GRC MP Cheryl Charn also posted an update on the situation, announcing that the kerb has since been removed by the LTA after being assessed.

Cheryl Chan’s statement

There had been several incidents recently of cars mounting the kerb at the traffic light junction at Bedok North Road and Bedok North St 2 when the drivers make U-turn.

There were sign markers on it to indicate the presence of a kerb but it was knocked over each time. After assessment, LTA had since removed the kerb for everyone’s safety.

HUSBAND DUMPED WIFE FOR MISTRESS, THEN WANTS WIFE BACK AFTER MISTRESS GETS CANCER

0

My ex husband left me for another woman but wanted to come back to me after she was diagnosed with cancer

I’m 25 turning 26 tomorrow actually. (Happy birthday to me I guess). We were school sweethearts and married at 21. Hes currently 27.

I’m not sure where it went wrong honestly. We had our ups and downs sure but I thought since we had been through so much already that our marriage could prevail. Boy was I mistaken. He started coming home late, 3 hours after his shifts would end. He’d come home smelling like strawberries and beer.

I’d ask him and of course he’d deny and deny. Nothing was confirmed until she messaged me on facebook apologizing because she had a suspicion he was in a relationship but was too nervous to ask or pry.

Everything blew up at that point. We filed for divorce and he left me to go “start his new life” with her. Why she stayed with him is beyond me but it doesn’t matter. I eventually came to terms with it. I didn’t have any kids with him so it’s not like I had to keep thinking about him.

I started a photography business and even started flirting with a cute guy at my work. Felt like life was great up until this point.

This morning he called me 5 times at 1 am. I finally answer, ready to tear him new one but he’s just sobbing. I asked him what he wanted and he says that awhile back his fiancé got a pretty serious diagnosis of cancer (he did not specify what kind).

I apologized and said he had my condolences but that I was confused why he was calling me since we hadn’t talked in forever. He says he just wanted to vent. I was super annoyed but I let him talk. For 20 minutes he goes on about their relationship problems, his alcoholism, etc. After that, he goes quiet for a minute and then says “I love you Sarah, my life is shit and I need you please”.

I hung up the phone. I was too tired to deal with that mess. But then he sends a loooooong text basically saying that he wants to be there for “Megan” but doesn’t want to continue having a relationship with someone who is dying. I told him he was a piece of s- for even considering leaving her after her diagnosis. Plus how would she feel if she knew he felt this way?

He said I was twisting his words and that since she didn’t know she’d never be hurt by it. He was just tired of pretending to be the loving and caring boyfriend everyone thought of him as for staying with her. She was “driving him mental” and had basically become a different person. He then proceeded to beg me over and over to get back together. I finally had enough of the stupid drunk, screen-recorded the entire convo, and blocked him.

I’ve sent the screen-recording to every account on facebook that I could find that had her name and picture in hopes she will see it. (she deleted the account she originally messaged me from).

If you read this far I’m sorry you did. This has been hurting my heart and head all day. I feel somewhat better getting this all out. I just feel like I’m getting caught up into something that I shouldn’t but also should do more for her.

Inter-Monsoon Conditions Expected By End-October 2022

Wet weather expected to continue for the rest of Oct 2022

Singapore, 17 October 2022 – The current wet weather is expected to continue for the rest of October 2022. The prevailing Southwest Monsoon conditions, with low-level winds blowing from the southeast or west, are forecast to gradually weaken to become light and variable in direction by the end of October 2022. The shift in wind conditions signals the end of the Southwest Monsoon and the start of the inter-monsoon period.

The inter-monsoon conditions are forecast to last through November 2022. During the inter-monsoon period, the monsoon rain band lies close to the equatorial region, and more showers can be expected over Singapore and the surrounding vicinity. Lightning activity tends to be higher during the inter-monsoon months than other months of the year.

In the coming fortnight, thundery showers are expected on most days. On some days in the earlier half of the fortnight, the presence of low-pressure systems over the South China Sea may induce the development of Sumatra squalls in the Strait of Malacca and bring widespread thundery showers with gusty winds to Singapore and the surrounding vicinity between the pre-dawn hours and morning. In the latter half of the fortnight, afternoon thundery showers are forecast on most days, with the showers extending into the evening on a few of these days. On a few days, widespread moderate to heavy thundery showers may occur, due to large-scale convergence of winds over Singapore and the surrounding region. Overall, the rainfall for October 2022 is expected to be well above-average over most parts of Singapore.

For the rest of October 2022, the daily temperature on most days is forecast to range between 24 and 33 degrees Celsius. Although showers are expected on most days in the coming fortnight, the daily maximum temperature could still reach a high of around 34 degrees Celsius on a few days. In addition, the wet weather may bring daily temperatures of between 23 and 32 degrees Celsius on a few days.

S’PORE MAID CAUGHT ON CCTV SPIKING BABY’S MILK WITH PILLS, POLICE INVESTIGATING

0

A maid in Singapore was caught on CCTV allegedly spiking her employer’s baby’s milk with medicine, resulting in the baby’s weight not increasing.

The employer, Mr Lin spoke to Shin Min Daily News and said that they hired their 27-year-old maid from Myanmar back in August last year, and she had performed well as displayed good attitude.

However, in the middle of December, he then saw on CCTV the maid slapping his 3-month old baby on the head when he was crying.

He then confronted the maid and told her that her job was to care for his baby, and they didn’t punish her for what she did.

But she was then caught dragging their son on the arm from one end of the crib to the other about 2 months later.

Lin also started noticing that his baby’s weight was not increasing and suspected something was wrong, so he then went through the CCTV footage and saw the maid spiking the baby’s milk with a pill.

She was seen opening the cabinet and taking out a pill while feeding the baby then shaking the bottle, before walking towards a blindspot of the camera and appearing to spike the drink.

Lin said that his son’s blood test report came back normal, but he was thinner than other kids of his age and he was worried about his child’s development.

He called the police on the same day he spotted the maid doing this, and she then admitted to the police that she had been putting panadol in the baby’s milk, and added that it was not the first time.

She also said that she placed a pill that she got from Myanmar to “boost” the baby’s appetite.

Lin’s wife also discovered hundreds of pills inside the maid’s drawers last year, with dozens of flu and cough medicine along sign panadol.

Lin didn’t think much of the discovery, and didn’t expect the maid to use them to spike his baby’s milk.

The Singapore Police Force confirmed that they are investigating the incident.

2 MEN ARRESTED FOR CHEATING VICTIMS INTO BUYING FAKE AIRPODS ON CAROUSELL

0

The Police have arrested two men aged 17 and 19 for their suspected involvement in a series of cheating cases involving the sale of counterfeit AirPods.

Between 9 and 12 October 2022, Police received two reports lodged by victims who suspected that they were cheated by an online seller into purchasing counterfeit AirPods on the e-commerce platform Carousell. The counterfeit AirPods were represented as authentic and deceptively packaged in sealed boxes with legitimate serial numbers, which misled the victims into believing that the AirPods were authentic. The ruse was purportedly uncovered when the victims tried to sync the AirPods with their Apple devices and were alerted that the AirPods were not authentic. Suspecting that they had fallen victim to a scam, the victims then reported the matter to the Police.

Through investigations, officers from Tanglin Police Division established the identities of the two men and arrested them on 13 October 2022. Sixty-one boxes of counterfeit AirPods and two mobile phones were seized as case exhibits.

The two men are assisting with Police investigations for the offences of cheating and abetment of cheating. The offence of cheating is punishable under Section 420 of the Penal Code 1871, and carries an imprisonment term of up to ten years and a fine. The maximum punishment for abetting an offence is the same as that of committing an offence itself, as provided for under Section 109 of the Penal Code 1871.

The Police take a serious view against any person involved in scams, and perpetrators will be dealt with sternly in accordance with the law.

MAN THINKS IT’S WRONG TO CONTACT YOUR EX WHEN YOUR ALREADY ATTACHED

0

I saw some posts lately about people wanting to get in touch with an ex to just “catch up with life” when they are already in a committed relationship.

We all have some remnants of fondness or regrets about past relationships. But unless it’s something huge that you want to apologise for like you cheated their entire life savings, caused their whole life to collapse and you really die die cannot sleep and living with some form of remorse every day, please spare a thought for your current partner and DO NOT REACH OUT to your ex.

Yes, it may provide some form of relief for you to contact them and say a few words but please consider your partner’s feelings…

Is your need for “closure” worth more than potentially jeopardising the relationship and hurting your partner’s feelings?

I was in a similar situation before except that I was the partner. I found out that my other half wrote a message to his ex thanking her for the good times & apologising for some hurt caused during the relationship. My partner can argue the content and those few words were generally harmless and meant nothing, more of trying to seek some closure for himself but it hurt me a lot and I started doubting our relationship.

Well, I agree, nothing alarming in the message content but I didn’t understand why that message had to be sent. What was soooo pressing or important that he had to message her? What I could only interpret with my clouded brain then was that ‘he is thinking of her and cannot let go of the relationship’. And till today I still struggle with trust and commitment.

I know the intention is not to cause any hurt to your other half.

But I just want to say it’s not worth it to contact your ex for some sort of emotional relief at the expense of your partner’s feelings. Please think twice before pressing that send or call button.
