My husband cheated on me with his co-worker. The reason? I have an IQ of 152

My husband always complimented me on being bright. I loved that about him. He had such pride that his wife is smart and he would tell this to anyone but everything changed about 6 months ago when he insisted that we would take IQ tests.

I have never done this before because I really don’t care about these things. Anyway, I scored 152. He 133. He was in shock and very subdued for several weeks afterwards.

I honestly noticed his sudden moodiness and I knew why but it was just too awkward to try and talk to him about it. I didn’t want to embarrass him. What made it worse is that we did the test via his work so his co-workers knew about it.

Things went back to normal after a couple of months. He wasn’t as affectionate anymore and he certainly never brought up my intelligence nor complimented me on it ever, but he was pleasant and happy again.

It turned out he only went back to normal because he started sleeping with a co-worker. I found out everything when I saw his friend’s conversation with him.

About how he felt turned off by me after the test. He brags about his affair and apparently his friends and brother and all their wives know about it.

It’s so odd because I’m still the same me. I didn’t change and I never take these tests seriously. And he always knew that I was smart what changed now?

I haven’t spoken to him yet about anything. Not sure I will either. Clearly his affair made him feel good about this whole thing again because he’s back to being pleasant to be around.

I love my life and I don’t want to change it. Especially when our children are still too young and need us. I just needed to get this off my chest and get some perspective. Why this sudden turn off by me?

Some clarification: If I’m being judged anyway for staying in my marriage I should add this embarrassing detail. We have a prenup, that ends after 10 years of marriage.

We’ve been married for 7. I can’t afford raising my children in my own. If I can’t afford it, I could lose custody (not get primary anyway) And if I lose my children I might as well die.

If my husband decides to divorce however. The prenup doesn’t apply.

When we go there, I realized she didn’t pay in advance like she said she would. When she tried using her card, it got denied.

So out of embarrassment, I end up paying the tour. So it end up costing me double. She never said sorry, she never said she’ll pay me back or anything like that. She acted stupid as if nothing happened.

Two weeks ago, she reached out saying she needs 50 bucks as an emergency. I told her no. But she kept insisting and nagging. I gave it to her.

Today, she had the audacity to ask me for 450 dollars to pay her school.

That was the last drop, I am breaking up with her. What do you guys think?

Boyfriend didn’t talk to me since Tuesday so I broke up with him

I am so angry, like around Tuesday he told me he wasn’t doing so good or whatever, I had no idea what that meant so I didn’t text him first for the last 2 days ?

So then today I txted him all day and no reply, so I got angry and I basically said screw you and said I’m done lol

then all the sudden right now he texts me at 10pm saying hey how are you, that he was studying for today and yesterday for his exam and he just left it now

and he said that he understands if I am mad that he needed the time off

After our marriage she started calling in the middle of the night saying she’s having panic attacks and my husband has to run to her place. I went with him the second time. She was very angry.

I can’t get her out of our lives completely because she’s friends with everyone in my husband’s group, even his sister.

But can I at least ask him to cut her off or am I out of line? I don’t want to sound like the crazy controlling wife but this is tearing my psyche down.

Why do financial advisers try so hard to be the “ideal” person?

Minus the “I’m here not to sell you anything but I’m here to share with you” and when you reject their approach they kept pushing you to set up appointments, one thing I don’t get is the over-glorification of their efforts.

The sob stories they post on Instagram once they achieve “Top Rookie” or “MDRT”, the endless motivation quotes to tell them to keep going when times get tough, expressing their love and admiration to their mentors etc.

Telling everyone else that their job is the most meaningful cause they’re helping others. Like is it’s a whole sh*t fest.

I don’t see other professions acting the same way they do? Like we do have our fair share of problems at work but we never post it online.

Professions who truly help others like social workers, nurses, paramedics and many others do it on a daily basis but they don’t flaunt it on social end.

Its been almost a year since I reconciled with my spouse over his cheating with a young girl and although we are working back on the trust.

My f…. stupid 21-year-old son racked up $15K in credit card debt. Now the wife and I are arguing over it. What to do?

He basically got a normally low limit credit card, but he took cash advance from his credit and did not pay or he paid a minimum. Now the card has gone up to almost $15k.
