JACKSON WANG ENDS LIVESTREAM BECAUSE FANS KEPT GIVING HIM MONEY VIA GIFTS

0

Singer Jackson Wang, from the boyband GOT7, had a live stream on Chinese social media platform Douyin recently, and had to end his stream twice because his face reportedly kept buying him gifts with real money.

Wang didn’t know why there were filters appearing on his screen and was later told that they were presents that his fans had spent real money on, with each present having monetary value that the receiver can exchange into cash.

Wang then got shocked and exclaimed “oh no no no, oh my god!” before cutting the stream off.

He then went onto another Chinese social media platform, Weibo, and continued his live stream after telling his fans “I don’t want gifts, please don’t do that.”

He then asked his staff to turn off the gifting function on the app, but was told that even if it was disabled, the fans could still send him gifts.

He then reportedly got annoyed and asked his staff, “what do we do now? Why are you only telling me about this now?”

Wang then cut off his live stream again, before resuming it a while later and reminding his fans to stop wasting money and buying him gifts, and to mind their health.”

74 Y.O MAN FELL INTO SEA WHILE THROWING FLOWERS INTO SEA FOR LATE WIFE, RESCUED BY COUPLE

25-year-old Filipino Queen Lexinda Royupa, who is working as a customer service officer in Singapore, shared a TikTok video on 13 September about a touching encounter she and her husband had with an elderly man at Changi Beach.

She was with her husband at the beach at about 9.50am, when they noticed the elderly man walking along the beachfront, where the rocks were slippery.

The elderly man then suddenly fell down into the water and hit his head, and the couple then rushed over to the stricken old man to help him.

They wiped the bruises on the elderly man’s head and arms and tried to calm him down.

Wanted to give flowers to late wife who died 10 years ago

They then asked him what he was doing, and the elderly man then told them that he wanted to give flowers to his late wife, who passed away 10 years ago.

Royupa then started crying upon hearing this, as the elderly man then asked the couple to help him throw the flowers into the sea for his late wife, and they gladly did so.

The couple then stayed behind to converse with the elderly man until he felt much better, keeping him company, as the man thanked them for their help.

He told the couple: “thank you to both of you, I might have drowned if you were not here. You’re good people.”

They offered to take the uncle to a hospital for his wounds, which the old man then declined.

Misses his late wife

Royupa said that she was on leave from work that day, and that perhaps God had a reason for her to be there at the time, to be an “instrument to save someone’s life”.

She also said that the fateful encounter with the old man made her realise that true love exists, as she ended the video with a message from the old man to his late wife: “he loves you so dearly.”

GIRL WORKING AS BEAUTICIAN, OFFERED TO SELL HER BODY TO GET CUSTOMERS TO SIGN PACKAGE

0

Facebook user Desmond Ang shared how he and his friend encountered Malaysian girls who are working as a beautician and a masseuse, and are selling their bodies to get more customers.

Here is what he said

Sharing with u all 2 real life stories. It makes me conclude that many chio bu are just high class prostitute.

Today i went for a facial promotion which i saw on fave for $20.

I chatted with the facial girl. She is malaysian and single. I wanted to get her hp number to be friends but changed my mind, because she keep on pestering me to sign up package.

There are so many facial promotions in fave available for 1st time customer or customer who last visit them for more than 1 year.

Malaysians earn 3:1 so good salary, yet they still behave like prostitute keep on want more money.

Why should i sign up for expensive packages wheb there are so many cheap promotions in fave.

Another story happen to a friend.

He went for massage. He ask the malaysian girl for her hp number. She claims that she is attached. After that she also pester him to sign up package.

He: i know you already have boyfriend. I am not trying to break you up. How about i sign up for the massage package than you be my F buddy.

She: can. But each time you pay me $200 per session.

He: abit expensive. I don’t earn alot. How about each time $100. Look you are also enjoying yourself. $100 = $300 ringgit is good money.

She agree to it.

Later on he got a gf and wanted to stop this deal.

She actually volunteer to waive off the payment and be his F buddy for free. The reason is she finds sex with him is very good and better than her bf.

Her good friend eventually told her bf about it. They had a hugh fight. She took a knife to attack him. He snatch the knife and cut her face with it. He was sentence to a short 3 months jail as he say he did it out of self defence.

Her face become disfigured with scars. She spend alot of money going for plastic surgery to remove the scars.

The morale of these 2 stories is there are alot of high class prostitutes around. They look chio and dress well. They have proper jobs such as facial therapists etc but they still behave like prostitutes.

S’PORE WOMAN BOOKED HOTEL ON TRIP.COM, DIDN’T KNOW IT WAS IN USD & HAD REFUND REJECTED

0

Facebook user Annabella Tan shared on Facebook about how she made a hotel booking on Trip.com thinking that it was in SGD because her location was in Singapore.

She added that even when she was checking out of the booking page, her transaction showed $175.38, which she still thought was in SGD.

However, she later found out that the denomination used was in USD and that the app’s customer service refused to compensate her.

Here is what she said

This is my first time using this Trip.com. The denomination is really misleading. I was not aware the denomination in trip.com app is in USD.

All the denomination is $ which I believed is in SGD since my location is in SG. So by the time i checked out, it’s still showing $175.38.

I was not aware the denomination for $ is referred to USD. Credit card message also never remind the actual denomination is in USD.

The app customer service refused to compensate and they kept saying they never change the currency. But for first time user, this is so misleading.

As for Agoda, they will clearly denominate the currency in SGD, USD etc.

WOMAN WAS TOLD BY AIRASIA TO PAY $780 FOR HER SON TO BE ON THE SAME FLIGHT

0

In Singapore, it is common to hear the term “flip roti-prata”. A woman recently encountered an unfortunate event with Air Asia where she was told to pay $780 for a ticket from Singapore to Bali.

Initially, Air Asia told her that infants there aged 24 months and below are not required to pay for a ticket and she will only be required to pay a $50 infant fee.

She posted two videos accounting for the incident that happened with Airasia.

Video Part 1:

Roti-Prata flipping time

Her flight was 1.40 PM but she realised that her passport has less than 6 months validity.

She was told by AirAsia staff to head down to ICA to get an extension on her passport and return for the 5PM flight on the same day.

She rushed to ICA and managed to get her new passport expedited and rushed back to the airport.

However, when she reached the airport, she was told that there is no 5 PM flight on that same day and said that that the next flight is 10.50PM.

She reluctantly agreed, and here comes the “prata-flipping” for the 2nd time.

She was now told to pay $169 for a ticket which includes $50 infant fee, $119 processing fee and a flight change fee.

However, the “Prata flipped” for the third time.

By the time she was supposed to board the 10.50 PM flight, the Prata has been flipped again.

“We are unable to check in your son as he is not an infant”

Now another staff said that the AirAsia colleagues made a mistake, and now she has to top up another $778 for her son to boarding the plane.

TERRY XU – THE ONLINE CITIZEN IS BACK, NOT BANNED FROM OPERATING OUTSIDE S’PORE

0

Terry Xu, the writer and editor in chief of The Online Citizen (TOC), said that TOC is “back” after being shut down by the IMDA on 16 September last year.

He said that the courts of Singapore ruled that TOC is not allowed to operate in Singaspore, but not outside Singapore.

He added that his website operations will be transferred to a new company in Taiwan, while the Singapore entity is in the midst of closure.

He said that they are pleased to be back and that they will now focus on commentaries on current affairs in the Asian region.

Here is what he said

Dear supporters, past, present and future, we are back.

While operations of The Online Citizen Asia (TOC) were shut down by Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) last year on 16 Sept, the ruling of the Singapore courts has made clear that we are not prohibited from operating from outside of Singapore.

Furthermore, both the operation of the website along with its social media platforms have been transferred to a new company that is registered in Taiwan while the old Singapore entity is in the midst of closure.

We are pleased to be back and look forward to serving you as an independent media platform once more.

There will however be some changes. There will not be any daily news reportage from TOC as the site will now focus on providing commentaries and analysis on current affairs in the Asian region.

I am currently overseas and will be relocating to Taiwan to start up a news media outlet which will provide daily news coverage in Asia.

More will be announced in due course and we look forward to serving you again very soon!

Rgds,

Terry Xu
