AUNTIES DANCING IN GROUP OF 3 ON ROOFTOP, WANT TO BE LIKE BLACKPINK

A Netizen shared online on 3 aunties allegedly gathering and dancing on a car park rooftop garden in Jurong.

The aunties were spotted dancing 2 straight days in a row around morning 7 am.

The Netizen feels that since Singapore is currently in phase 2, everyone should follow the rules, which includes up to 2 people allowed to gather together so why are they breaking the rules.

He hopes that the relevant authorities will take action.

25 COVID-19 CASES INCLUDING 21 FROM LOCAL COMMUNITY

On Sunday (May 23) at 12 pm, a total of 25 Covid-19 cases were detected in Singapore including 21 community cases and 1 from worker’s dormitory.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) said that 19 local cases are linked, with 12 placed on quarantine. The remaining 3 local cases are currently unlinked.

There are 3 imported cases that have been placed under Stay-Home Notice upon arrival. 2 of them are either Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Residents.

More details will be shared tonight by MOH.

INCONSIDERATE RESIDENTS THROW USED MASKS ONTO BUSHES AT SENGKANG

A Facebook user shared some disgusting pictures that she captured at a neighbourhood in Sengkang.

Used face masks were seen being hung on the bushes along the walkway below a HDB block.

The face masks appeared to have been hung there on purpose.

BLK 559 PASIR RIS RESIDENTS TO GO FOR SWAB TEST AFTER 4 CASES DETECTED

All 243 residents in block 559 in Pasir Ris Street 51 will be asked to go for swab tests after 4 different cases from 2 different households have been detected to have the Covid-19 virus.

One of the cases involves an 88-year-old Singaporean who works in Changi Airport Terminal 3 as a cleaner. He did not attend work after having symptoms on May 4.

The other 3 cases are from the same household. They include a 46-year-old Singaporean male who works as a swimming coach, a 47-year-old Singaporean housewife and a 12-year-old female student of White Sands Primary School.

Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC MP Desmond Tan has urged residents of block 559 to undergo a swab test to ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents.

The location of the swab test will be at former Coral Primary School on 23-24 May from 9 am to 4 pm.

2 SHOTS OF PFIZER VACCINE PROVES 88% EFFECTIVE AGAINST INDIAN VARIANT

The Public Health England conducted a study in the UK and found out that two doses of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine proved to be 88% effective against the B.1.617.2 variant of the Covid-19 virus that was first identified in India.

Matt Hancock, the British Health and Social Care Secretary, described the findings as “groundbreaking”.

The study focused on two vaccines, the Pfizer-BioNTech and AstraZeneca, of which only the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is approved for use in Singapore at the moment.

The study showed that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine was 88% effective against the Indian variant 2 weeks after administering the 2nd dose.

The study included 1,054 people who were confirmed to have been infected with the Indian variant.

However, cases and follow-up periods have been insufficient to estimate the effectiveness of the vaccine ag sint severe outcomes from the Indian variant.

STUBBORN RULE BREAKERS SEEN HAVING PICNIC IN GROUP OF 6 OUTSIDE MRT STATION

An unidentified group of people were seen having a picnic and mingling around on a grass patch despite the recent Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) restrictions.

The current set of rules dictate that group sizes must be no more than 2.

They were seen having their picnic outside Little India MRT station, at a carpark along Bukit Timah Road at about 1pm earlier today.

FLOWERS, BEER CANS AND ETC LITTERED ALL OVER VOID DECK BY FUNERAL-GOERS

A video emerged online showing a host of rubbish being littered all over the void deck where a funeral was held.

Carton boxers, condolences flower stands and garlands, empty beers cans, plastic bags, wooden planks and wrappers (among other things), were seen strewn all over the place.

The OP who took the video shared that he has sympathy for the family and friends who lost their loved one, but added that this is unacceptable.

The incident happened at Block 106, Toa Payoh Lorong 1.

GRABFOOD RIDERS CAUGHT STEALING ITEMS FROM AUCTION PALLETS AT CARPARK

A video emerged online showing a couple of GrabFood riders helping themselves to an unattended auction pallet at a carpark.

The thieving duo were caught on CCTV reaching into the huge bags of items on the pallet, taking whatever they wanted from the bag and loading their loot into a GrabFood thermal bag.

JEM & WESTGATE TO BE CLOSED AFTER COVID-19 CASES VISITED THE SHOPPING MALLS

The JEM and Westgate shopping malls will be closed from 23 May to 5 June, after Covid-19 cases visited the malls.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) are currently investigating the cases of Covid-19 infection amongst people who worked at or visited the 2 shopping malls.

At the moment, special testing operations and free swab tests are being conducted to everyone who has visited JEM and Westgate between 10 May to 14 May.

MOH’s epidemiological investigations found that there is a likelihood of ongoing transmissions among the mall-goers.

During the 2 weeks of closure, the malls will be carrying out deep cleaning of the premises to break any potential chain of transmission and carry out deep cleaning of the premises.

Persons who have visited the malls since 10 May are advised to monitor their health closely for 14 days from their date of visit.

GUY ENLIST INTO NS OVERWEIGHT, LOSES 80KG IN 9 MONTHS

Elly Zulkarnaen bin Jufri, an NSF, shared his remarkable story of losing 80kg over 9 months and graduating from the Specialist Cadet Course as a 3rd Sergeant, winning the Distinguished Honour Graduate along the way.

He shared that since his enlistment, and after he got into the Specialist Cadet School (SCS), he made a promise to himself that he could be a different person by the time he finished his 22-week course.

He was overweight at the time of his enlistment.

By the time he graduated, he lost a whopping 80kg and now looks lean; in addition to winning the Distinguished Honour Graduate award, which is one of the highest achievements doled out.

Congratulations Elly, and well done!
