0

Previously, a Tik Tok video went viral after a taxi driver pulls out a knife to threaten a Singaporean passenger in Thailand, Bangkok.

The Taxi Driver refused to give the Singaporean her change for the cab fare and even used a knife to threaten the passenger.

The passenger and driver fixed a price of 400 baht for the trip, but when they arrived at their destination the woman handed the taxi driver 1000 baht and the taxi driver took it without giving her any change.

An argument happened and the driver took out a knife to threaten the passenger.

The woman then reported the incident at the airport’s Police.

However, days, after the incident had happened all the punishment the driver received, is a fine of around SGD$114 and a suspended taxi license.

Netizens said that the sentence is too light therefore, many would disregard to the law.

Crime Rates

In Singapore, this kind of behaviour will get a much more hefty punishment. Therefore, this explains the difference in the crime rate of both countries.

If it had happened in Singapore this would be the punishment:

The offence of possession of an offensive weapon under Section 6(1) of the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act 1958. The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to three years and caning of not less than six strokes.

Driving to Genting is often considered a fun time for people to relax but a Singaporean man encountered a bad time after his car was stolen.

The car was parked at SkyAvenue Mall on Saturday (July 15).

Stolen

The 28-year-old victim told AsiaOne that his girlfriend and two other friends accompanied him on the trip to Genting Highlands.

He parked his car at around 12PM at SkyAvenue mall, only to return and find it missing the next day.

The man then spend two hours searching the entire parking lot but he could not find it, he contacted the car parks management and they assisted the search by sending out 5 motorbikes to search for his missing vehicle.

He also tried reporting to First World Hotel’s management but they told the victim that it was not their problem for missing items.

A Police report was made and they were unable to find his car.

CCTV footage revealed that the car had exited the carpark and left Genting in the middle of the night.

The car is estimated to cost around $200,000 (Honda Civic Type R).

Here is what the victim said:

When I wentto retrieve my car at the carpark on 16/7/2022 evening, I realised that my car was stolen from the parkinglot.I have since lodged a police report at Malaysia’s police station and cctv footage showed the car beingdriven down from the genting mountains at 16/7/22, 2am

WOODLANDS PASTA MANIA MANAGER ALLEGEDLY SLAMS TABLET CAUSING MENTAL TRAUMA

A netizen shared a post on Reddit claiming an unfortunate incident that took place at Woodlands Pasta Mania.

He stated that he is a victim of mental trauma since he was a child and the manager at the outlet allegedly lashes out at him which retriggered his childhood trauma.

Here is the story:

I should point out that I was severely physically ab…. as a child and hence, normal people would probably not have a trauma trigger response if this happened to them as normal healthy adults would probably just walk away.

After work, I went to woodland’s pasta mania to enjoy my meal, had been eating pasta mania for decades now.

When I went in to order food, I was suggested by a female manager to use the phone to place my order, but because I don’t have the internet on my phone (I only top up when needed), I told her I will order through the counter.

After that, a male manager approached the counter to handle my order.

I was treated like I was a nuisance, he was angry, like really angry and I felt ashamed of it…the anger triggers an intense feeling of fear in me, and because of my childhood trauma, when faced with such intense anger and hatred, mentally I reverted back to being a child, back to when I was ab… at home with nowhere to run.

Every part of me wanted to leave the scene immediately, but I was afraid, hence when he asked for my order, I placed my order… Not because I want to (I no longer want to), but because I was afraid.

When the order was placed, normally the person would turn the display around to confirm, but today this manager (wearing black is manager right ?) smacked the tablet violently so that it turned towards me, had the tablet not been properly attached, it would have flew off.
The way he smacked that tablet towards me makes me feel like he was telling me that he would have violently attacked me in the same way if he could.

I was afraid…I was afraid that he might physically attack me.
I felt like if I fought back, he would not only attack me, but no one will be on my side.

He made me felt like a cornered animal.

When he then proceed to tell me I could use the phone to order when I hand him my card, I felt like this was the closest he get to actually tell me off and he was controlling himself from an all out rage attack on me.

During the meal, I literally have no appetite
I felt helpless…
I felt like I was unable to defend myself…
I felt useless…
I felt like I was hated to the core of my existence.

I wished none of this has happened today.
I also wished I should have just walked away instead of continuing out of fear.

Dear Parents, try not to physically and emotionally ab… your child when they were young, cause it will scar them for life. I am beyond mid-thirties now and rare events like these still cause me to curl up in my bed wishing I was never born.

WOMAN SUSPECTS SHE GOING THROUGH MENOPAUSE AS SHE KEEPS COMPLAINING

0

Am I turning into this old menopausal qia zhar bor with frequent mood swings?

U remember in school how we used to joke about our female teachers who are spinsters and anyhow scream at the students who can’t seem to behave properly in class? Well, as I age, I fear that I’m becoming like one of those monsters.

I live in the same house as my parents, sister and bro in law. My annoying BIL is nothing but a leech – earns peanuts, prefers to sleep instead of spending time with son, doesn’t pay for anything related to the son and of course doesnt contribute to household allowance. Despite that my parents wash his clothes, cook his meals, does housework for him etc. He’s like a handicapped baby even though he is 40s and a father himself.

So with all the inflation happening, the family has been trying to be thriftier recently. Which includes switching off the lights and fans when not in use (very common right). BIL would just waltz into the bedroom, turn everything on, then few minutes later walk out to the living room switch on the tv, and conveniently forget that the bedroom lights fans and aircon are on while he sits in the living room for hours. I always just go and switch everything off fuming inside silently because idw to sour relationships. This has happened so many times I lost count. Few times I came back from work to see ALL the lights at home switched on, because BIL “forgot” to turn off before leaving house.

He also has many bad habits ingrained in him that are so undesirable – not washing his own bowls after eating, throwing his dirty clothes all over the floor and on the chairs expecting ppl to pick up for him and put into the washing machine, not brushing his teeth nor wash his face nor comb his hair in the morning before going to work, leaves his soiled tissues on the bed, not locking the main door after leaving house, he has never changed his pajamas and his bath towel since moving in with us 6yrs ago etc etc. I could go on and on about his nasty habits (as I typed this my BIL has just finished eating his dinner and left his utensils on the dining table, the fan full blast on when no one is there, and didn’t keep the dining chair that he was sitting on). Sometimes I really wonder why my sis fancied him back then. ????

One fine day I just lost it and lashed out at how freaking useless, irresponsible, unclean and messy he is, 40 yr old father alr still like that, none of his friends behave like him, it’s time to man up and step up like how a family man, head of a household should behave. I guess I also got tired of picking up the slack after him (as well as that of my sis who has started becoming like him and treating our mum like a maid). My sis actually retorted that this is the reason why I am still single – because i am too fixated, I want things done my way and I make mountains out of molehills, if I can’t swallow my pride of having to wait on a guy, then guys will never find such a strong independent woman like me desirable.

I must say this has stayed on in my mind for awhile – just like how ppl say unmarried men age like fine wine while unmarried women are just left on the shelf and there MUST BE something wrong with them which is why they can’t find their better half (and that’s usually due to foul temper). Why can’t this all boil down to family upbringing on the part of the male, and instead it always seems to be the women at fault? Am I really becoming this nasty unreasonable spinster that all single unmarried women turn into once we hit 30?
