17 ILLEGALLY MODIFIED PMDS & PABS SEIZED BY LTA IN OPERATION @ GEYLANG

0

LTA said in a Facebook statement that 14 PABs and 3 PMDs that were illegally modified, were seized in operations conducted at Geylang Road.

LTA’s statement

Illegal modifications compromise device safety, posing safety risks such as a higher chance of fire to the users, their families and other members of public. #SafetyFirst

Besides carrying regular enforcement action against users, we take an equally strong stance against irresponsible retailers who sell illegally-modified devices and put others at risk.

Last week, our enforcement officers conducted one such operation against an active mobility device retailer located along Geylang Road.

We seized 14 PABs and 3 PMDs that were illegally-modified. Investigation into offences such as displaying and offering non-compliant PABs and PMDs for sale is ongoing.

Ensuring public safety is our top priority and we will not hesitate to take enforcement action against those who endanger others through their irresponsible actions and behaviours.

#Reminder If you’re thinking to purchase a PAB or PMD, do ensure that it is compliant and registered. #SafeRidesHappyRides

GUY COULDN’T HOLD HIS LAUGHTER @ FUNERAL BECAUSE WOMAN MISREAD POEM

0

I’m the one who started chuckling at my aunties funeral.

Earlier this year my auntie passed away from lung cancer. We knew it would happen eventually and she was already in hospital so it wasn’t a shock to anyone. A few hours before she passed she was screaming at the top of her lungs because she was in agonising pain. Later that afternoon we were in the check out line at woollies when my dad got a message saying she had died.

About a week after she died we held a small funeral, planned by my cousins. It wasn’t exactly formal and we just had the funeral at the morgue but it wasn’t tacky or anything, just a small room with a few rows of folded chairs and an urn containing her ashes at the front.

After saying a prayer we all sat down. The woman working at the morgue said a few things, read a poem and then went to say rest in peace. The only issue is she messed up the word peace and accidentally said “rest in deez.” I couldn’t hold in my laughter and started quietly chuckling at the back.

My mum, grandad, brother and dad turned to look at me but I have a weird laugh so anyone that wasn’t around me frequently thought I was crying a little.

I wasn’t laughing really loud or anything but you could probably hear it from the front row if you listened carefully enough.

Eventually what the lady had said had processed in my dads brain and he started laughing a little bit too and on the way to my cousins house for the wake it was all we could talk about. Also how my cousin was getting other people to buy food for the wake despite being the host (she hadn’t cooked anything).

GUY DAYDREAMING WHILE FACING GIRL, WHO THOUGHT HE WAS STARING AT HER

0

Accidentally creeped on a girl at the gym

I was doing bicep curls and after my set i zoned out staring into the mirror. I then realized I was looking in the direction of a girl working out and saw her friend recording.

I swear on my life i did not mean to creep. I was just zoned out listening to music and realized what was in the direction.

Now im scared of getting canceled or something on tiktok. What do I do, cuz im at the gym right now terrified.

If i get exposed I’m gonna die, I cannot take that humiliation.

Netizens’ comments

  • Bro, you were minding your own business and a woman was recording you. Can you imagine if you were recording her working out
  • If they post it, most people will probably see your blank expression and know you were zoned. I’ve seen others try to shame to stuff similar and mostly get called out for jumping the gun.
  • I think you need to calm down. Are you so famous that if some random chick posted a video of you staring in her direction you’ll be cancelled? I think a simple -“zoned out, didn’t even notice you till I saw your pervy friend filming” will suffice. I’d be going to ask the gym their policy on patrons filming others before doing anything else.

AMERICAN GIRL TRIES DURIAN, ALMOST VOMITS & SPITS IT ON THE TABLE

American YouTuber Tiffany Chen, shared a video of herself trying the Southeast-Asian king of fruits, the durian.

She bought a packet of durian for US$16 from H-Mart, as she described what she heard from those who have eaten the fruit.

She said that “it’s supposed to taste like whipped cream, caramel and garlic,” before she smelled it and started gagging.

She added: “I don’t want to be disrespectful to the fruit,” before she became disrespectful to the fruit and said “it smells fruity and like hot garbage at the same time.”

She then took a deep breath before stuffing the durian into her mouth, and she then immediately spit it out and almost vomited.

Netizens’ comments

  • she just ejected that from her mouth so quickly tho
  • The way you ejected it out of your mouth LOL, i can’t-
  • The thud it made when it hit the table. She spat it out with such force
  • Bro the solid thud of it hitting the table did it for me
  • OMG that thud made me cry laughing
  • I’m dying that was so hilarious.

GIRL FANTASIZES ABOUT SLEEPING WITH BF’S BROTHER & HIS FRIEND

0

i (21f) love my boyfriend (22m). we just celebrated our 4 year anniversary. we’ve already discussed long-term plans (marriage, living together) and i am so ecstatic about the future we want to build together. i couldn’t imagine my life with anyone else.

he engages in a lot of recreational activities like skateboarding. he is really good at it and even got his younger brother (19) to start skateboarding as well. this has made him and his brother really close.

sometimes the three of us will hang out, whether it’s going out to a party or them at the skate park while i’m on the sidelines watching them. i have definitely formed a bond with his brother throughout the years of me and my boyfriend dating.

he has a lot of friends through skating but only sees and hangs out with a select few regularly.

there is one friend in particular my boyfriend hangs out with pretty much once or twice weekly. they always invite me to hang with them so i go whenever i can.

this one friend always makes sure i’m feeling included and not left out. unlike some of his other friends, i feel comfortable carrying a conversation with him and not think i’m being awkward. i consider him one of the nicest ones out of all my boyfriends friends.

i feel like the more i hang out with his brother and friend, the more i start thinking about them. the more i’ve felt a bond with them the more i’ve fantasized about sleeping with them. like separately of course.

i think the onset of these fantasies is because i had a dream like a year ago in which his brother was randomly present? i don’t even remember what the dream consisted of but it felt very pleasant. i don’t know is this is the case, but maybe.

obviously i love my boyfriend too much to ever act upon these fantasies and ruin the relationship we’ve had for the last 4 years, but i unfortunately let my mind wander into thinking what intimacy would be like with not just these two other men, but the two people my boyfriend is closest with.

i don’t know if this is normal, but i feel extremely guilty anytime i let all these unfaithful thoughts cross my mind.

SHINZO ABE HAD GUNSHOT WOUNDS ON NECK & CHEST, SHOT THROUGH THE HEART

0

The former prime minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, was shot while giving a speech on 8 July, and he was later rushed to hospital in critical condition.

He entered a state of cardiac arrest by the time rescuers arrived and reportedly had no vital signs, and he later succumbed to his injuries after doctors tried their best but couldn’t resuscitate him.

He was later revealed to have died after having his heart penetrated by the gunshots, with the perpetrator using a custom sawed-off shotgun.

He was declared dead at the Nara Medical University Hospital at 5.03 pm local time, with the doctors holding a press conference to detail the injuries that PM Abe suffered.

Gunshot penetrated his heart

He had gone into cardiopulmonary arrest at the sight of the attack and lost vital signs while being conveyed to the hospital, according to Dr Hidetada Fukushima, who is the head of emergency services at the hospital.

Doctors found two gunshot wounds about 5cm apart on his neck and the front side of his body, as well as a third gunshot wound in his upper chest, near his shoulder.

One of the wounds was deep enough to penetrate his heart despite there being no bullets found in his body, resulting in his blood vessels being damaged and causing him to bleed.

4.5-hour surgery with 20 medical staff

He underwent 4.5 hours of open-heart surgery that involved more than 20 medical staff, who managed to plug the huge wound on his heart, making use of more than 100 units of blood in transfusions.

However, Abe’s heartbeat didn’t return, and his cause of death was determined to be blood loss.

GUY BROKE HIS ARM, PARENTS TOLD HIM: “DON’T BE DRAMATIC”

0

I once broke my arm and my parents didn’t do anything for days

I had once fallen off my bicycle and i broke my arm, I was in a lot of pain and there was a swelling in the area for almost 3 days,

my dad and mom just kept dismissing my pain as me being dramatic, i didn’t even get an Xray for several days and was expected to do my daily activities like my arm didn’t hurt.

This one experience was the worst 5 days of my life and my parents later blamed me for my own misfortune by saying that I always cried for even the smallest things and that they would’ve had no ways to know if I was actually hurt or not.

I was only taken to the doctor after 5 days when the swelling didn’t subside and I was later put in a plaster cast after i has a minor surgery to approximate the bones.

My parents laugh at me whenever I bring this up and sometimes they even make jokes about it. I don’t know if they’ll ever know how much it hurt me and how much their negligent actions continued to hurt me even as an adult.

But I hope that someday they’ll apologise to me.
