I’m jealous of the fact that my friend gets to make thousands a month on OnlyFans when I work a 8-5 job.

I [24 M] have been platonic friends with one of my neighbors for a few years now. I wouldn’t say we’re terribly close as we have pretty different personalities, but every now and then we’ll find time to go out to lunch somewhere or play COD or talk about our mutual love of anime.

She [23 F] is also really, really hot. A few weeks ago, she confided in me that she decided to make an OnlyFans about 8 months ago in addition to her regular job, and since then has made enough money to pay off all her debts.

I obviously acted happy for her when she told me, but on the inside I was boiling with jealousy over the fact that, at my current pace with my entry-level software engineer salary (which I’m very grateful to have), I won’t pay off my debts loans until I’m 35. But she gets all this quick and easy money simply because she’s hot.

I mean, good for her that she’s able to monetize her body in a risk-free way, but also like I wish I could do the same.

Is it offensive to ask my girlfriend if she could test for STDs before we have sex?

So basically we started dating a few months ago, I’m (25M) a Virgin and she (24F) is not, she’s had an ex and so far we’ve only made out,

and in the future should we get into bed together, I just want to be very careful (and ofcourse use condoms) but it would really put my mind at ease if I knew that she doesn’t have any STDs

How can I ask this question ? Is it offensive to even ask?

• In this day and age, asking for an STD test is completely normal and should not be taken as offensive or accusing. So, you certainly have a right to ask. But, that doesn’t mean that she won’t go apeshit, if you ask her.
• Very responsible. Tell her you will test as well for her peace of mind because you also care about her safety. Some people can go months to years with no symptoms and never even know they have anything. If she gets offended, she ain’t the one
• I would even offer to get yourself tested. Just because you’re a virgin doesn’t mean you have zero risk (although it is substantially lower). It’s common for new partners to go to a clinic together, and it could be a bonding experience and make her more comfortable about getting tested.

My boyfriend(m25) constantly skips work and claims that I (f26)make enough money so I shouldn’t be so bothered by it.

He is making me feel like I’m crazy for wanting him to go to work and help out with the bills. We share a unit and his total monthly income doesn’t even cover half of the rent.

He had already previously went from full time to part time because he was starting a coding camp, but he ended up quitting after a couple months because he felt it wasn’t for him.

So now he is still working part time (3 days) and is late literally like 2 hours everyday he does go in. I don’t understand how he hasn’t been fired.

When I approach him about this he has a variety of defenses;

a.) I make enough on my own, so my problem isn’t about money, it’s just that I want to make him work.

I make about $4,000 a month. I am trying to save up to buy a home someday. This is enough to live somewhat comfortably, but it’s really not the crazy amount he makes it out to be.

b.) He will be more motivated someday, but I need to give him time to grow.

This one is hard to respond to without being harsh, because how do I know? People can change but not without effort, and I see zero effort on his part. All he does is sit at home and play video games ALL DAY.

c.) That I was just handed a good job and that I can’t expect other people to be as lucky as me.

This one just infuriates me. I was a receptionist at the office I work for for about 2 years and busted my ass for these people. I kissed ass and held my tongue a lot, and came in throughout the pandemic to make sure they had coffee and luncheons, I ran their errands and never said “no” to any request. I was given a promotion for my hard work.

d.) I was out of work for a few months during the lockdown so I have no room to talk.

This is true and I try to be understanding but, it was a lockdown and a huge amount of people were out of work. It wasn’t by choice. I feel like he is going to use that against me until the end of time.

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. I see my co-workers and they all have hard working husbands, and they work together as a team to build their life and I’m so jealous. It’s so hard to leave because I really only hang out with him and his family outside of work. I feel like he is gaslighting me in a way, and I feel like I can never bring this up without him coming up with a million excuses. I don’t know what to do anymore.

Sad for my future kids, who may no longer exist.

My fiancé and I have been together for almost seven years, and for most of that time, we haven’t been interested in having kids, or at least indifferent to the idea. However recently, over the course of the last several months, we have both experienced a change of heart.
