Who is the victim here?

My husband met with an accident last month. It was a very bad one and it left him paralyzed and bedridden. He can’t eat on his own, can’t talk and needs help with every single thing.

Today, I went down to the Family Court to apply for divorce. Nope. I am not going to care for him. I am walking away from this marriage because I’ve had enough. And I believe whatever had happened is the work of Karma.

My husband will vent out his anger on me and our children, hurling vulgarities and using fists to show his authority. He will curse and swear on my family and whoever I love just to cause further hurt and damage on me. He had cheated on me on multiple occasions. And when I was at my lowest, losing my job and being broke, he wasn’t there to support me financially nor morally. He expects me to go out and find my own means to survive.

When I suggests separation, he told me he will take the kids along with him. He used that to scare me as he knows I can never live without them.

I cried every single day, feeling angry and resentlful towards him. I prayed that God will take him away from me one day.

And here it is. The day has come.

Judge me if you want. I have been through enough with this man. He wasn’t there for me not through thick nor thin. So why should I be there for me?

Who is the victim here?

My face is ugly af, im 162cm and im balding at 23. I started binge drinking 2years ago. I cant get a stable job and I can’t socialize purely due to how low self-esteem i have and how anxious i am around people due to a traumatic past.

I live with my parents and they’re tired of me. My sisters think im going to do something foolish to myself and seem worried but dont really do anythibg about it.

I have friends but im too anxious to go out and do anything with them. The only thing that gives me hope rn is that im going to try escorts in the nxt month.

The best part is this.

I started playing soccer at 12 and became a workaholic. Completely obsessed with training. I very quickly rose through the ranks and became one of the best players in my team.

I also had pretty bad acne at this point. Tried all the skincare products out there didnt work. But i was grinding and wanted to go pro.

Then at 18 i realized that no matter how good im at soccer im still a loser in the eyes of others because of how ugly and short i am.

The realisation made me quit football. I went through the most intense year of my life and lost my virginity with 1 other girl. Then i started to go bald.

So now im a bald ugly short dude. I was already insecure anxious low self-esteem. But now i was done. I had trouble leaving my house. I turned to alcohol to cope.

I was working a lousy job on and off. And one morning i wake up and 3years have gone by with me having done nothing.

Education is just a piece of paper to secure a job, but some people think that their university is much superior.

A graduate posted on an NUS page stating that the other local universities are “cheap labor rejects”.

Here is what the graduate said:

The graduate starting pay from our school is pretty high, however companies only open up very few slots for us. For those with third class honors the situation is aggravated and may not even be able to find a job in our area of study. Now companies rather hire cheap labor from reject universities like SIT , SUTD , SUSS , SIM and retrain them for the job. How to compete against them when these peeps accept 3.5k salaries for the same job.

• I think you need to first fix your elitism mindset. How can you label other universities as reject? This is really a poor attitude. Reflect yourself and made yourself a better person first or else u won’t go far in anything you do

• Hire CHEAP labour from REJECT universities?? Thats damn harsh dude!! Those students still work hard to get into and stay in their universities. Why do u have to be so mean and look down on them?

• Be kind. Maybe being kind is a good start to your better future. Don’t be arrogant. It’ll bring you to nowhere.

• these kind of elite thinking is what gets you? so what if you are from NUS/NTU/SMU? it’s the same kind of people like you that I rather not hire even if how cheap you willing to accept. IT’S YOUR ATTITUDE.

• Graduates (fresh out from school) should place emphasis on skills, work ethics and overall characteristics. Thats because you are raw, your work mindset is new and you need to immerse yourself in how the real world works (experience). If your talent shines, you can bet others will look for you and pay you more.By skills, I mean learn how to work with people, how to interact and communicate + build internal relationships. Workplace negotiation may be needed depends on where you are. As a young graduate to start work, you dont have that.So forget the fancy pay – as long as the starting pay is reasonable.Be real. Focus on developing your core competencies first.Focus on honing your work maturity over time and overall approach.On elite universities or those with superb grades – yes, academic headstart but honestly, how you respond, how you think and say matter most. No point hiring an honours grad who dont know how to work and communicate with people.Got the point, young talent?
