I met this girl in a club and started dating her. We cohabit for a few years in my parent’s house. Then one day she started asking about marriage and also started arranging for BTO matters. I have a friend who always pretends to be a very steady person but when s*it hits the fan he is the first one to run. This happened a while back when I was still studying but here is the story.

We were drinking at a pub in Chinatown and this so-called “steady” clown consolidated the money for the bill as he claims that the rest were too drunk to do the “accounting”.

After passing him the money, he said that he was going to the toilet but he ran away. We were shocked when the waiter said “your friend has gone home, are you ready to pay for the bill?” Being students we hardly had any extra cash nor a credit card to “pay again”.

We called him and his handphone was switched off, luckily we had a rich friend among us that could settle the bill but we were furious.

Knowing the man for many years we knew where he took the money and we decided to “hunt” him down. We took a taxi to Geylang Lorong 24 and found him negotiating with a street hooker. (yes during pre-covid it is still common to see them on streets)

The moment he saw us he ran. That was the last time we ever saw him and rumors’ have it that he is still a cheater today.

Tan Ee Hong, 25-years-old, was sentenced to 2.5 years of jail and 3 strokes of the cane for one count of aggravated outrgae of modesty.

One other such charge and another charge of using criminal force on the victim were taken into consideration for sentencing.

The victim then almost broke free but Tan dragged her back until she almost fell through the staircase railings.

He then straddled her and kissed her forehead.

A married couple on their way to a meditation class then noticed the victim’s belonging strewn all over the floor at the lift lobby.

They then heard sounds coming from the stairwell and the husband then found Tan straddling the siam bu while smelling like alcohol.

The man tried to help her but Tan wouldn’t let her go, claiming that he was helping her.

The man wasn’t convinced by his reason and called the police.

A 33-year-old man was arrested on 27 April for allegedly attacking a woman with a knife at a coffeeshop at Block 155 Bukit Batok Street 11.

The alleged attacker and his victim are believed to have known each other and had a dispute prior to the incident.

He attacked the victim, a 35-year-old woman at the coffeeshop.

The victim suffered injuries on her hand and neck area, and she was conveyed to the hospital conscious.

The Singapore Police established his identity through ground enquiries and the use of CCTV images, and officers from Jurong Police Division and Woodlands Police Division arrested him on the same day within 4 hours of being alerted to the case.

The police were alerted to the incident on 27 April at around 4.25pm.

He is due to be charged in court tomorrow (29 April) with voluntarily causing hurt with a dangerous weapon, under Section 324 of the Penal Code.
