MAN CAN’T QUIT THAI DISCO EVEN AFTER 2 YEARS WITHOUT SIAM DIU

0

A man recently posted on a forum stating that he is still unable to stop going to Thai Discos even after the two-year restrictive period.

He said that he is trying to identify the root cause of why he is still going there, which attracted the comments of many netizens who blasted him.

Here is his story:

Even after two years of not going to pubs and clubs, It has made my addiction even worse.

It’s like holding on to all the air in a balloon and releasing it at one go.

I was introduced to Thai Discos in my early 20s by my Poly classmates, I went enjoyed “got” a few and “lose” a few. When I was young, I was very hardworking and earned a good sum of money but I could not stop spending either.

Before the lockdown came, In a period of 1 year, I spend almost $150,000 on drinking, hanging flowers and other entertainment expenses. When the lockdown came, it was like a wake-up call for me. I managed to accumulate a small amount of savings but nothing compared to the amount I spend back then.

I switch from drinking outside with friends to drinking at home or not drinking at all.

Return of pubs and clubs

When the government finally unrestricted entertainment premises, I started my nonsense again.

My friend asked me out and I reluctantly agreed, He brought me to this pub with Thai girls inside. I started my crappy lifestyle once again and my monthly expenses have increased once again.

During the lockdown, I was single and now I’m back out to hunt for potential partners.

I feel that it is not healthy to find girls on such premises, I am considered a hardcore drinker but deep down I don’t want to meet any girls from pubs.

However, I do not have a choice as I do not have a chance to meet other people. I am self-employed and I work almost at home all the time.

Meeting new people is almost impossible.

I am afraid of going back to my lifestyle of finding girls in siam diu which I do not see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I only see myself going broke.

Can anyone give me ideas…

MAN LOST S$5,000 AFTER SCAMMER PRETENDED TO BE HIS FRIEND

0

I received a call from a scammer with strong Malaysian accent on 17 May 8:12pm pretending to be someone I know. the caller claimed that his handphone and wallet got stolen by the workers renovating his house and this was his new number.

His mobile number is ********. i asked him who he was and he said he was someone that talked to me often, how could i forget. instead i blurted out my colleague’s name which he said he was.

Next day, still thinking he was my colleague he called for help to transfer money to his contractor because he has fired them for the stolen incident but he needed to pay them for the works already done and his bank account is not activated yet. he mentioned he would pay me back the next day once his account is activated.

Thinking he needed it urgently, I transferred 3600 to his contractor. then he requested for another 6000 because his friend mistakenly transferred to his account instead of the contractor. but i only decided to transfer 1400, saying my limit was 5000. he kept asking me to check if my limit could be changed.

So, I said i was out for lunch and will do so when i’m back in office. back in office, i suddenly thought to message my colleague on microsoft teams, and asked him about it. he said he did not call me at all, and then I realized it was all a scam!

Should have checked with my colleague before doing any transfers! i hope police can nab this scammer!

JOBLESS MAN BORROW MONEY TO VISIT PROSTITUTE, KENA 2 DIFFERENT STDS

0

A netizen shared a story about how he ended up with two different types of STDs after spending a night with a prostitute.

Here is the story

“I lost my job a few months ago and was on a downward spiral, my savings were getting depleted very quickly and my job search was going nowhere.

The nail in the coffin was when I received the news that my mother was diagnosed with stage 1 cancer, which is curable, so there’s some semblance of hope.

My girlfriend of 4 years also told me that she wanted to break up with me because she felt like our relationship was going nowhere.

I felt hopeless in life, as though everything was coming to an end in the worst possible way, and I desperately needed an outlet, or at least something to make myself feel good.

And I was down to my last cent, I couldn’t even afford to top up my ezlink card to go for job interviews, that’s how bad it was.

I borrowed about $600 from a friend to tide me over, and I went out for some drinks and to just distract myself for a little while.

After drinking, I decided to book an escort to “release” some stress. This Taiwan woman charged me $600 for an overnight session, but I managed to haggle the price down to $500.

We slept together that night and we didn’t even use condoms, and the next morning I went home feeling a little better and confident, as I resumed my job search.

A few weeks later I started noticing that it burns when I urinate, and I was also oozing a little bit of pus.

So naturally I got worried, and I then went to get myself tested, and the results came back stating that I had both gonorrhoea and syphilis.

I thought to myself, “this cannot be happening”, how the f could I get two STDs at once, and why the f is this happening now, of all times.

I really don’t know what to do, I’ve been on medication ever since and nobody in my life knows about this yet.

My mother is sick, my girlfriend has already left me, I’m still jobless and now I have two STDs. If God wants to play a joke on me, he really played an epic one this time.”

Editor’s note: You’ve hit rock bottom, so bottom that you might even be underground. But on the bright side, it can’t get any worse and things can only look up from here on out.

The queue for passport renewal at ICA now

Netizens speak their mind:

I renewed mine online and had it sent to the post office. Is that option no longer available?

This is for people that are appealing for urgent approval. Because of all the appeals, mine got pushed back/delayed too for almost 2 months and I had to queue to get my passport in time for a trip

Sigh. Wish people wouldn’t kiasu so much. Now, some of these people probably do need to go travel urgently but am willing to bet most don’t and could just wait for another 2 weeks or a month or something.

Everyone rushing to get theirs for school holidays? Since now without cutting queue it’s two months waiting period, everyone queuing to cut queue

ALL LOCAL & IMPORTED CASES OF INFECTIONS IN APRIL WERE OMICRON

According to the Ministry of Health, all the local and imported cases of Covid-19 in April (those that underwent genome-wide sequencing) were found to be the Omicron variants.

MOH said on 19 May that 99% of the local cases were the BA.2 strains, including the BA.2.12.1; while the remaining 1% were the BA.1 sub-variant.

98% of the imported cases were from the BA.2 sub-variants, 1% being the BA.1 sub-variants and the other 1% being the recombinant lineages including the XJ and XE strains, which are hybrids of the BA.1 and BA.2 sub-variants.

Two of the imported cases were infected with the BA.4 strain, and MOH also detected two local cases on 15 May with the BA.4 sub-variant, and one case of the BA.5 sub-variant (local).

All three of the cases are confirmed to be the BA.4 and BA.5 sub-variants, which has been described as a variant of concern by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.

MOH also reported 4,578 new cases on Thursday, a reduction from 6,442 cases on Wednesday.

Hospitalisations remained at 302, with 8 patients in the ICU and 49 needing oxygen supplementation, along with 2 deaths.

WOMAN HOLDS GRUDGE AGAINST DAD FOR SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED 10 YRS AGO

0

My (26F) mom passed away at childbirth, so it was pretty much my father (50M) and me, with the occasional visits from my grandparents (from both sides), since I lived with just him, I took on a more masculine style and likings, like ”one of the boys” but the only boy was my father. I was Rexy (for T-rex, because I was obsessed with them for years), I had no barbies (he bought me a few but I was like ”ew), and I had almost 0 dresses or skirts, he also did my hair really awful every time.

When I was around 12, he began dating this woman called Maria who had a daughter (15 at that time) named Stacy, while Maria was a total sweetheart, Stacy was horrible. She tortured me for not looking like ”a girl should do”, for liking ”man stuff” like cars, bikes and stuff like that, I have to admit that I also didn’t had many friends while growing up (neither female or males) so my person was my dad, and as I grew up I got involved with what he liked. To make things short, Stacy would often throw awful comments about me being a boy, a weirdo, etc and my dad would do these same comments in a slightly different way, but they hurt me more because he was confirming that while Stacy was ”his daughter”, I was his ”son”. What broke my heart was that he called Stacy ”Peach” like Mario’s princess while I was T-Rex.

I did a 180° in my looks at 15, I brought dresses, skirts and dyed part of my hair a sweet pink which made Stacy laugh at me even more and my dad was like ”woa! Pink? that’s for girls”. In my 16th birthday, Stacy put black dye in my shampoo and ruined my whole look, I guess it was the stick that broke the camel’s back because I cried so horrible to the point of not breathing and I told my dad in front of Maria and Stacy what she had been done all of those years, along with my dad awful remarks and subtly enabling Stacy’s awful comments.

In the end, he left Maria and Stacy because it was obvious there was no going back for me after that, he eventually married my now step-mom when I turned 20. My dad apologized, we talked about it and a year after that we attended therapy until I was 24 I don’t like to talk about it, I think it broke my relationship with my dad in a way we will never be able to fix, I know he doesn’t have my back.

Yesterday, while talking he tried to joke about it and I said that I didn’t want to remember it because I’ll never forgive him for joining Stacy in her terrible ways, he said it couldn’t be possible that I’m still holding a grudge, I say I am, and that I always will because he absolutely broke my heart and confidence, he tried to argue, but my step-mom said that he needed to let go because my feelings are my feelings. I still cry when I remember it, but he says I’m an AH because he left them and made amends with me.

M’SIAN STUDENT END UP IN HOSPITAL AFTER PUNISHED TO RUN 30 LAPS UNTIL

A female student in the third class of Foon Yew High School’s Kulai branch in Malaysia was punished by the physical education teacher to run 30 laps on the volleyball court.

The student was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment. The incident was posted on social media and caused heated discussions. The physical education teacher apologized to the parents of the female students today, and the two sides reached a settlement.

The female student’s aunt posted on Facebook last Friday that she was dissatisfied with the teacher’s punishment for giving the child such a punishment. The above-mentioned post attracted the attention of many parents, who believed that the teacher had no right to corporal punishment.

According to the content of the post, the female student were told to run 30 laps of the court because they did not complete their homework, and they had to wear masks to run.

The post said that when the female student was physically punished, she already felt very uncomfortable and her heart beat faster. But she endured it until the end of school. When she was taking a nap at home, she experienced breathing difficulties, chest pain and drowsiness.

Her family rushed her to the hospital for treatment.

On the other hand, the mother of the female student went to the school in person to meet with the principal of yesterday. The mother was not satisfied with the explanation and the teacher involved in the incident did not show up. The movement’s statement to require students to wear masks was updated in a Facebook post on the progress of the incident, which once again sparked public opinion.

The parents of the female students, accompanied by the chairman of the MCA Iskandar Puteri City Association, Datuk Zhang Xiufu, went to the school to meet with the principal of the branch, Huang Huizhu and the PE teacher.

In an interview with the Oriental Daily, Huang Huizhu admitted that the school and the parents did not communicate well on this matter, and the incident became more and more troubled. Fortunately, today’s meeting has opened up everything, and the physical education teacher also sincerely expressed his gratitude to the parents. The apology, the parents are also willing to accept.

She revealed that the third-year female student was discharged from the hospital on Sunday and is now recuperating at home. The parents accepted the apology from the physical education teacher and did not ask for monetary compensation.
