my boyfriend tells me that i look good without makeup and it’s starting to really get on my nerves

i know i look good without makeup. i sometimes go makeup-free and i feel just as pretty when i wear makeup.

but i have acne and i only do that when i dont have bulging bumps all over my face. he knows im insecure about that so i think he says this as a way to help, but he says this every single time he sees me with makeup.

he likes to put his hand on my face and wipe it off and i freak out because he’s putting germs on my face and also making my cystic acne show.

i really dont know how to make him stop without being rude. ive told him that i dont like when he does this, but i know he thinks he’s helping so he does it again.

any advice on what to say to him?

Just be honest with him and tell him how you feel, just don’t do it in a way that might make him feel attacked for his past behavior, as I have an inkling he just doesn’t understand entirely.

Husband acts like he prefers my daughter over me

I got married & gave birth when i was 18.

The marriage eventually ended & i remarried, bringing my daughter along when she was a teenager.

Now my daughter has grown up and married. However, my husband’s behaviour seems weird recently.

He will want to include my daughter in every outing or meal. I can’t go “paktor” with him anymore without him asking me to call my daughter to come along.

Once during dinner with friends, he chose to sit beside her instead of me, taking up the seat meant for her husband. When i asked him to move over & sit with me, he just said he prefers to sit there with his girlfriend.

• they are sorting the parcels out accordingly by blocks. (not saying tht im ok of them throwing it around) but sometimes too overwhelm and thus such things happen.

• Not nice to do throwing around. However need to consider that the sorting is unpaid time for the courier to do delivery. Although gig delivery, but really pay peanuts for the time spent packing and delivery time. Ruining my dads last marriage was the best feeling, I’ve ever had.
Back when I was pretty young, my dad decided to marry a woman, who came from another country.

The wife had quite the different approach to raising children, since she was of another culture. My younger siblings and I was often scolded for being “raised wrong” and being “too demanding” towards our dad.

Also the fact we didn’t call her “mom” and didn’t want her physical affection was another huge issue, even while we mainly lived with our biological mother and only visited them, when my dad was home. (He worked offshore and always had between 2-3 weeks at work.)

Claiming we were devil’s spawn and having one of my sisters “exiled” from family activities such as eating in the same room as the rest of the family. My dad felt more and more absent throughout the years too.

My boyfriend then suggested a restaurant in Clarke Quay. (I felt like cancelling the dinner but didn’t want to disappoint him, he travelled to city from far away.)

We went to the restaurant but found that there was a minimum spend of $40 per pax. He refused to eat there and wanted to find a more budget-friendly place. At this point, I was already sweating af and very uncomfortable. My stomach was bloating. I just wanted to find a comfortable indoor location to rest and get a quick drink.

HR accepted another candidate and I kept being strung along

The HR from an SME company reached out to me. She send me the application form and said she need it within one hour time. After filling up and sending her she called me to schedule an interview. I was elated, the next day when I was on my way to the company for an interview. She called me and said we already shortlisted a candidate today. I was agitated but I remained calm and thank her and hang up.

The next day she called me and asked if I’m still available for the interview claiming that the candidate didn’t sign the offer letter. She send me a calendar invite for the face-to-face interview and asked me to be there early. Upon arrival at the office, she told me the interview was cancelled we hired a candidate earlier before you came.

I did not utter a word and left the place immediately. On my way home, I was crying hysterically. But after crying I realized one point, I did my part by attending the interview and arriving early.

It was the company HR who is terrible. If you all choose a candidate it’s perfectly fine with me. Do have the basic courtesy to inform the other candidates.

On a positive note, I think it’s a good opportunity for me to witness such a terrible company with the worst ethics.
