HR accepted another candidate and I kept being strung along

The HR from an SME company reached out to me. She send me the application form and said she need it within one hour time. After filling up and sending her she called me to schedule an interview. I was elated, the next day when I was on my way to the company for an interview. She called me and said we already shortlisted a candidate today. I was agitated but I remained calm and thank her and hang up.

The next day she called me and asked if I’m still available for the interview claiming that the candidate didn’t sign the offer letter. She send me a calendar invite for the face-to-face interview and asked me to be there early. Upon arrival at the office, she told me the interview was cancelled we hired a candidate earlier before you came.

I did not utter a word and left the place immediately. On my way home, I was crying hysterically. But after crying I realized one point, I did my part by attending the interview and arriving early.

It was the company HR who is terrible. If you all choose a candidate it’s perfectly fine with me. Do have the basic courtesy to inform the other candidates.

On a positive note, I think it’s a good opportunity for me to witness such a terrible company with the worst ethics.

I’ve ignored him for so long and I grew tired of suddenly receiving his text.

I don’t wish to tell my husband about it because I regret what I did and not like I want anything to do with him anymore.

I’m afraid, though, that one day he just finds out this guy’s text popped up on my phone.

He would text me flirtatious things or even lewd things.

I really don’t know what to do anymore.

friend owes more than $15k.. am I able to find a debt collector to help recover the amount?

A friend owes about $15k (14k++) in money and was initially repaying about $500 a month and was paying for last 6 mths but started to Mia for the last 1.5 months. Either giving holding answer or saying (will transfer tonight but disappears or doesn’t answer when pressed)

Started exploring getting a debt collector but not too sure if its possible if its loan to an individual and what’s the success rate?

Edit : I know there is a lesson learnt here and he usually returns promptly but at this point I’m not asking for “you deserve it or u shldnt have XXXX” I’m exploring options on getting it back and knowing the success rate/ what to look out for etc

2nd edit for more context: most conversation is via WhatsApp and transfer done by paynow so I do have the nric and (of course) mobile number, so we do have a paper trail.

Normally I will say hey u still owe xxx after ur transfer of (eg) $500 today.

OR it will say hey u still owe xx when u transferring and he will just go ok transfer u tonight/tmr / insert random date here

I know she regrets marrying him but she’s too good of a person to leave, and it’s honestly heartbreaking and I kind of wish he’d just hurry up and die so she can actually live her life instead of having it siphoned away by an old vampire.

My friend lost her job as a masseuse and is now unemployed. She invited me over to her apartment to get massages from her. Being her friend, I’d figure I’d help her out. I’ve been going weekly now, and up until I told my wife it’s with her (I told her I’m going to get a massage) she never had an issue with it.
