A 21-year-old motorcyclist was arrested by the Traffic Police for suspected drug-related and traffic offences after trying to escape during a Traffic Police check which resulted in a high speed chase.
LTA officers were conducting routine checks along Farrer Road when they signalled for a motorcycle to stop, but the rider didn’t comply and sped away towards Queensway.
LTA officers then went after the motorcycle, which then hit a roadside kerb and flipped over.

At one point, the rider tried to fight the officer, and he was then pinned down but managed to escape.
The rider picked up his helmet and ran away into the void deck, with the officer chasing after him.

Some of the supermarket’s goods could be seen floating on the brownish-looking rainwater, as the staff took off their shoes to stack the goods back onto the shelves as well as dispelling the flood.
A spokesperson for Sheng Siong said that the outlet is prone to flooding and as bsuch, they had sandbags and pumps to prepare for these kinds of situations.
