The title says it all but this started two days ago when I put my ring in my pocket like an idiot.

I was cleaning the license plate frame on my car but it’s currently covered in bugs from a recent road trip in Malaysia. Being the cautious person I am, I slipped my engagement ring into my pants pocket to keep it clean. I made a mental note to myself not to forget it when I put my clothes in the laundry. I was struggling to get the license plate frame on the car since it wasn’t well lit. So, I headed back to my house and completely forgot about my ring.

I’d gotten home late from work so I was tired and went about my evening. Sat on the couch, took a shower, and threw my pants with my engagement ring into the laundry hamper. I’ve been working 10-15 hours each day this week so I didn’t have any time to wash my clothes.

My fiancé has been staying at our place an hour away while I’ve been staying at my parents to take care of my sister after she had surgery. When my fiancé came home this weekend, he very thoughtfully woke up early to help take care of my dirty laundry. I was half asleep when he got up at 6:30am to get to the laundromat nice and early. I mumbled that he should stay in bed with me instead of going but he insisted.

My fiancé got back home and we spent our day together. We went to the park with my sister and I told him I’d leave the ring at home since he and I were going to play frisbee. Later on, we’re getting ready to go out for dinner and I look for my ring. Then I realized it was left in my now freshly washed pants.

We’ve gone to the laundromat and scoured my parents place. I’ve accepted my fate and I’ll be selling my soul to afford the replacement before the wedding.

To tell this story I have to go back to when I was younger. So when I was in kindergarten school I was tongue-tied. For people who don’t know that’s where the muscle underneath your tongue is near the tip of your tongue restricting its growth and movement. I had a surgery done when I was younger to have it fixed because I had trouble saying certain words. I did it and never really thought about it since.

Fast forward to a couple of days ago when my wife ragged on me because I don’t give her oral as much as she likes and proceeded to tell one of my coworker’s significant other about it to the point that they proceeded to tell me that if I won’t eat her out there seriously gonna be problems. We both laughed it off but i was sure if shes tell others might as well give her what she wants.

Well after I did I had serious pain underneath my tongue like I had pulled a muscle didn’t think much of it was like okay maybe I just overworked it and it’s just achy. Now a few days have passed and I’ve noticed myself slurring some words and talking a little funny due to the pain so I decided id take a look under my tongue to see if it was swollen to discover I have a tear across the muscle with a nasty scab over it as well as its swollen. So now I’m having to make sure I let my tongue rest and heal up by trying to not talk and use it too much. Needless to say the wife not only feels bad but is also turned on that i ate her out so hard i tore my tongue.

I’m not proud to say this so I will share this story anonymously. I needed some advice as I feel kind of wrong doing this.

I managed to pay for my $20,000+ degree in 2 instalments. My classmates knew that I do not come from a well to do family and they wondered how did I manage to pay for my degree in two instalments.

I often lie to them and tell them that I saved up alot of my earnings but when I go out with them… The way I spend money sometimes gave it away.

The truth is… it started out as an innocent waitressing job and I eventually became a hostess as the money was good. But I got greedy and tired from working as a hostess as I’m often drunk.

Studying for a degree is not easy and there are always endless assignments to submit and the deadline is always tight. While drinking with some customers, I told a few of them of my situation and some of them advised me to stop working as a hostess while some others told me to “tahan”

One of the customers actually offered me a deal, he said that I can quit my job and focus on my degree. I asked him “then how would I pay for my degree?”

He said that the deal was to give me a $2,000 allowance a month to be his “girlfriend”. I asked if he is asking me to be his “SugarB”. He said yes… So I asked what I needed to do, he said

“everything a girlfriend does with her boyfriend”

I was tempted but I rejected him.

Degree soon became a lesser concern

Months went by and the stress from studying was getting higher and higher, I met the same guy at the pub again and somehow this time he convinced me. I feel like a soulless doll when he was using me but the money was good.

After 2 months, I felt that I can earn much more than that and I started to do freelance and eventually MIA from that customer.

Freelancing was earning me even more, within a few months I could not only pay up my degree’s fee but also buy good things for myself. I started to think… even with a degree, I will not come close to earning this kind of money until I’m old.

By the time I’m old, I don’t have the energy to have fun anymore. Now I’m thinking should I finish my degree or just do freelance till I can afford my own property. I am really confused, a bit of me is feeling disgusted with myself. But I can’t say no to money.

The CPR part was ok, he was v professional in showing how to do it while having minimal contact with my chest.

But when it came to the AED, he stressed that it was very important to remove all clothing before applying the pads.

Then to my horror, he pulled up my shirt and bra, completely revealing my chest to the class. I was frozen in shock as he showed them where the pads should be placed and invited them to look closer, which many of the male students did.

I glanced at the other 2 girls and they looked equally horrified. He droned on about how “modesty is worthless if the person is dead”, “saving her life is the priority”, etc.

While I agree with his statements and concede that he did not touch me inappropriately, I still felt humiliated and wished he hadn’t done it.

My embarrassment intensified when I overheard my 3 male colleagues discussing me in lewd terms after the class.

So my question is, is this worth quitting over? It took me 6 months of applications and interviews to land a job so I really don’t want to, but I just feel miserable thinking about having to work with three creeps who have a twisted perception of me.”
