CONSTRUCTION WORKER STUCK ON TOP OF CRANE, RESCUED BY SCDF

A video surfaced online showing a rescue operation by the SCDF for a construction worker who was stuck on top of a 75 metre crane.

At about 10.20am this morning (12 April), SCDF personnel and specialists from the DART team were deployed for a height rescue operation at a construction site at Beach Road.

The worker was on a side-mounted tower crane and he was feeling giddy on top, and was unable to climb himself down to safety.

The firefighters climbed up a “cat ladder” to assess the worker, who was on a landing platform about 55 metres high, of the 75-metre high crane.

The DART team then established anchoring points to set up a lowering system and using a “one-man rescue method”, a DART specialist on the crane attached himself to the worker and both were safely lowered to the ground.

The worker was then conveyed to Raffles Hospital.

A couple of boys shared a photo that was taken near the entrance of the infamously haunted Old Changi Hospital.

The two boys could be seen taking photos of a shaded vegetation area beside the hospital building inside the gates.

Upon closer inspection, a silhouette of a long haired figure could be seen among the trees.

Real or hoax? You decide.

The government in the state of Gujara shut down a couple of labs on 1 April, after they found that they were selling fake Covid-19 negative test results.

Numerous incidents have emerged in India as Indians are forging these documents to dodge quarantine rules or to travel freely.

A fake report from a pathological lab costs about 2,000 rupees.

Indian students are also using the fake reports to avoid taking exams.

A Mumbai couple was also charged in March for forging the documents; they were travelling to Jaipur with their child and all three were infected, but they had forged their documents and were allowed to fly.

She could be seen dressing in her suspenders while she exposed her voluptuous body to many of the fellow uncles who were prawning as well were seen gawking at her assets.

A video emerged showing a boy on his bicycle speeding across the road without looking out for traffic.

He could be seen losing his equilibrium as he notices the car about to hit him and loses his balance a little bit.

Thankfully the car came to a sudden halt and jam braked, if not the boy would’ve been hurt.

Look out for traffic lah boy!

A group of Siam Kias and Siam Bus were seen happily enjoying a potluck at Golden Mile.

There were more than 10 people seen intermingling.

It is understood that during the weekends of public holidays, there will be more than 10 groups seen at the area.

They could be seen without masks as they were eating, but they were interacting with the other groups which consisted of more than 8 people.

A food delivery rider shared a chance encounter with a food delivery robot.

The humorous video was shared on his TikTok @_aimalmustakim_.

He could be heard if the robot “nak fight pe?” and challenging the robot to a fight for seemingly “stealing” his job.

The cute little encounter took place outside Nanyang Executive Centre at the NTU campus.

The robot in the video is known as FoodBots, developed by Whizz Mobility, which is a student start up at NTU.

Michael Gaubert, a deejay who calls himself a “sound designer”, has been the subject of criticism after he posted a video from an “Asian themed” dinner party he attended in Paris.

The guests in the video could be seen holding cut-out paper masks with slanted eyes, chanting: “Wuhan girls, wahoo!”

Fashion figures such as Susanna Lau have slammed the video, calling it “patently racist” and “an Asian version of blackface”.

Gaubert has since apologised to his “Asian friends” in an instagram post and the video in question has since been deleted.

A dramatic video circulating online shows the heartbreaking moment the man arrived at his girlfriend’s apartment with musicians, standing downstairs while singing without the lady knowing.

When he arrived the apartment, the musicians could be heard expressing disappointment at the girlfriend who was seen through the glass winder of her apartment, giving another man a bj.

The lady apparently heard the music and tried to ascertain what was going on downstairs. But as soon as she spotted her heartbroken boyfriend among the people through the glass window, she quickly closed the curtains.

The poor young man was seen crying towards the end of the video.

Nick Chong Seng Cheong, 24-years-old, was jailed 2 years and 10 months after pleading guilding to 3 counts of sexual penetration of a minor and one count of possessing obscene films, another 7 charges were taken into consideration.

Chong has entered into a friends with benefits arrangement with a 13-year-old girl and engaged in criminal sex acts with her for more than a year.

He was 21 to 22 years old at the time and he met the first on a chat application,where they had sexual chats.

They would also exchange obscene photos of themselves.

Chong asked the girl to be “friends with benefits”, which the girl agreed, providing she was paid.

Chong was already aware that the girl was $13 by this time, and the two would then meet for sexual activities at a handicapped toilet at a Tampines shopping mall.

He would then pay her between $30 to $50 for each session.

To get the girl into the hotel that required her to show her identity card and reveal her age, chong would go to the hotel first and pick her up from the lobby, pretending that she was his sister.

The girl lodged a police report on 12 March 2019, saying that she had sex with several men, Chong was then charged following investigations.
