HUSBAND TOLD PARENTS HIS WIFE COOK FOOD LIKE GIVE PIGS EAT ONE

0

My husband doesn’t know how to cook. he also not a fan of the food I cook from my country of origins. Seeing him living off fast food motivated me to learn to cook his family’s common meals. It took me a while to get it done properly but now I can cook an entire list of his favourite meals. he praises my cooking and encourages me to learn more.

While we were eating dinner at his parent’s house. I had to excuse myself to go wash my hands after I was done. I left the table and my husband was still eating. as I was making my way back I heard his dad tell him to take it easy because he was eating a lot. he then asked my husband if I cook for him and if he eats well at home.

My husband said that I do cook for him but the food I make can only be fed to pigs not humans. I was hurt and so offended. I showed up infront of him and told him I will no longer be cooking for him after this comment. He was turning in his seat as I walked right past him, took my purse and said I was headed home. He got back later saying it wasn’t like that and that even if it was then I should be happy he still eats my food when it’s still “not perfect” yet. He said he was trying to protect my feelings and I hurt him when I said I won’t cook anymore.

MAN BUMPS INTO 1ST LOVE AT WORKPLACE, SHARES HARSH REALITIES OF THE WORLD

0

So I finally crossed paths with my ex at my workplace after 3 years. Since we parted ways I’ve always wondered how I would react to her reappearance again. All I did, quite pathetically, was tapped on her shoulder and uttered a measly “hi”. Even as I walked away, my heart was pounding frantically, as if back to the first time we met after my fateful confession.

She was my first love and every shade the dream girlfriend as a teenager I yearned to have. We were also our class’ model couple, and received heaps of marriage invitations as if everyone expected us to pull it off eventually. We were also inseparable throughout secondary school and JC; she was there through the lowest points in my life, and so was I for hers. But as it turned out, we grew apart and ultimately went our separate ways.

As far as I know, she’s relishing a life of familial bliss now, married and happily raising a son – a future we had once envisioned as a couple. To be honest, I’m just a tad little envious, but mostly happy that she realised her dream. As of me, it has been a rough journey since 3 years ago. The gaping hole that she left behind remains to be filled. There is this girl I met in CCA that caught my attention, but for reasons unbeknownst even to myself I haven’t been able to summon enough courage to even strike up a conversation with her, much less start a new relationship. Once bitten, twice shy, perhaps?

To all budding, first-time couples out there: don’t be afraid to devote your all in a relationship. Even if it doesn’t work out in the end, you would have written a exhilarating chapter in your life – that of first love. There will be countless regrets, and I dare say, they are even inevitable.

But the one thing not matched by subsequent relationships is the naive, innocent and pure romanticisation of love; a signpost you will look back later for guidance as you try to navigate romance in the harsh, real world.

To P, I’m thankful for everything. Really.

ARCHBISHOP OF SG APOLOGISED AFTER MAN FROM CATHOLIC ORDER JAILED FOR SEXUAL OFFENCES WITH 2 BOYS

The Archbishop of Singapore William Goh issues an apology on behalf of the church for the act committed by a prominent figure who was found guilty of performing sexual acts against two boys.

In a letter released on catholic.sg he wrote:

Dear Rev Frs, brothers and sisters in Christ,

It is with great sadness and regret that we have learnt of the case involving a member of our Church – who has committed sexual crimes against young people. Like many of you, I am dismayed, shocked, and ashamed. Some of us are confused as to what actually took place and how this could have happened.

As Archbishop and leader of the Catholic Community in Singapore, I humbly apologise on behalf of the Church. My heartfelt sympathy to those who have suffered on account of this crime. I pray that they will find healing and closure, and we journey with them as a Church through this pain. May justice be rendered accordingly.

I want to assure you that the Archdiocese takes very seriously the provision of a safe environment, especially where children and young persons are present. The Professional Standards Office (PSO) was established in 2011 to protect the interests of our vulnerable and regularly reviews its protocols to provide a safe environment. The PSO is made up of professionals comprising Senior Counsels (law), ex-District Judges, senior lawyers, legally trained persons, psychologists and people in senior management, not all of whom are Catholics. The PSO operates independently in accordance with the laws of the land as well as the dictates of Canon Law without any interference from the hierarchy of the Church. To further enhance the impartiality of the PSO, with effect from 2018, it has been headed by a lay person, a non-cleric.

The cold reality of having an incident like this on our shores is sobering. Many good Church leaders have sacrificed much to remain faithful to the gospel and have worked hard to instil the values of our Catholic faith in the young. A cloud of suspicion now hangs over those who have given themselves to live a life of service.

Moving on, I appeal to you all to be united in prayer and to sincerely seek the mercy and healing of our God. We pray that the Holy Spirit will guide us to strengthen our Catholic organizations, councils and institutions so that we emerge a safer, credible, stronger and more compassionate Church. We pray that we all be more vigilant and mindful as leaders and members of the church.

Let this incident be a wake-up call for us all to take our spiritual life seriously and be awakened from a complacent faith. Conversion is required of the entire Church. We must remember that the sins of one will affect others as well. It is a timely reminder for us to renew our faith, find healing in forgiveness and in God’s mercy, and seek reconciliation with our wounded brothers and sisters by taking the call to conversion of life seriously.

Finally, please pray as well for our Church leaders, priests, religious and Church workers to be faithful to the responsibilities placed on them so that they can be true witnesses to the Faith, living exemplary lives for our young to emulate. Pray also for me, that I will have the wisdom and courage to lead the Church after the heart of the Good Shepherd.

Yours devotedly in Christ,

Most Rev. William Goh
Archbishop of Singapore

WOMAN WHO NEVER CARES FOR STEP-SON KPKB CAUSE NEVER BRING HER TO HOLIDAY

So my father turns 65 later this year and is planning to retire, for a birthday/retirement gift my wife and I have decided to take him on a 12 day vacation to Greece. The trip is a 7 day tour of the country and a 5 day cruise of the islands. My dad has always wanted to know to Greece because that is where his family is from, but he could never afford it. My wife and I are in good shape finically and can afford it no people.

The thought never crossed my mind to invite my stepmother, I kind of forget she even exist. I have not seen her since I was 19, I am in my 40s now. She just chose not to attend any family functions on my dads side, when I got married, she did not come, when my grandparents died she did not go to the funeral.

So after I gave everything to my dad I got a text from a family friend a day or so later. saying that I’m a bad person for not inviting her and that they have been married for over 25 years and I should treat her better.

So am I a bad person for not inviting her?

people asked why she did not get along with my grandparents.

The family legend is she and my grandmother did not get along. I guess she showed up Drunk to Christmas when they first started dating and got in an argument because my grandmother got my presents for me, than her kids. She may have also peed on their couch while drunk.

COLD CALLS OFFERING FINANCIAL ADVISOR JOBS ARE ANNOYING

0

I didn’t mean to offend any financial advisor.

Seriously, what’s with those financial companies who keep asking people to become their financial advisors? I have already been head-hunted via cold calls and LinkedIn messages prompting me to work as their financial advisor like 5 times over the past 2 weeks.

In context, FoS undergraduate and already have a summer internship – but still being head-hunted by financial companies asking me to spend my summer in their cult of financial advisory – even though I had no knowledge in finance and I even hated being in business.

There are already a lot of FAs these days. Why are they keeping hunting more of their prey?

I know not all FAs are like that, but seriously, I’m this close to giving a bad impression to financial advisory. Seriously, it’s so irritating dealing with all of these sellbots. How do they sleep at night knowing that this is what they do.????????

  • Here are what netizens think:
  • It’s a highly delusional profession. I was served by one keynote speaker FA, and he was so lousy. He could not answer any of my questions, especially the one “how many of the products you sell are in your portfolio?” On my own, I did better than him and all the FA I have ever known, even if they count their losses as gains. Run!!!!
  • Cold call is not headhunted lah. Your case is closer to scam call than headhunting.
  • Ignore them lah. They abit like mlm. FA is almost a sunset industry as more people are it savvy and can buy on their own liao
  • don’t blame them la, have you anything before? It is tough to sell insurance cause mainly sell base on fear , that is one and secondly you need to have the skill to sell on being able to manage their money . Needs training and a bullet proof skin so that’s why those that make it are so successful. Take it positively la, their profession is literally taking people money to become their own money. It is a very tough job.
  • Get this right. You were not headhunted because as an intern or a fresh grad you have nothing valuable for any companies to want to head hunt you. Those who cold called you were transactional recruiters who tried to transacted you for a commission.Know the difference so you don’t become a laughing stock by telling people you are being headhunted.

MOTORCYCLIST BAG NEVER ZIP WHILE RIDING ON EXPRESSWAY, EVERYTHING DROP

A video emerged online showing a motorcylist losing his belongings in real time as he was riding on the expressway.

The motorcyclist’s bag was unzipped at the time of recording, as a myriad of different items fell out of the bag that was slung on his chest.

The video begins with the motorcyclist riding on the road and his bag appearing to be slightly unzipped, with a USB cable sticking out of the pouch.

The wind then blew his bag wide open, revealing it to be wholly and completely unzipped all the while, as some small item dropped out of it.

A paper note then flew out, followed by a charger, a pouch, the USB cable and a host of other unidentified barang barang.

The rider appeared oblivious and unaware that his items had all fallen out of his bag while riding, and he then reached out and felt for his bag with his hand, finally realizing that it had been unzipped all along.

The stuff of nightmares indeed…

WOMANIZER FATHER ABANDONS KIDS AND REFUSES TO GIVE THEM MONEY

0

What should I do?

I’m 23 years old and a 3rd-year student in a university. I grew up in a single income family. My dad made the choice to womanize and abandoned 2 young kids than with my mom. He tells everyone else he has no money but he posts on social media pictures of him travelling all over the world while eating food. He refuses to pay anything for my younger sibling and my education, living expenses etc. He used to pay a bit like $1k every 6 months when we are much younger like in primary school. He cut us off officially financially when I’m 18 years old telling me straight in the face that we are “ a burden to him “ while he is smoking. He barely fed us, clothe us but expect us to give him an X amount in future so he will sue us for the maintenance thing.

Please tell me, is it not parents’ responsibility to bring kids up since they are the ones who chose to have unprotected S?

My mother is a strong woman in everyone’s eyes. She single-handedly brought me and my younger sibling up. She refuse to believe it but the divorce tore her up and the lack of financial support from my dad. She worked hard. Working endlessly. To support my younger sibling and me. Whenever she’s sad or being emotional, she will use emotional/mental abuse like guilt tripping, manipulation, gaslighting, etc. This is her way of being human after being strong for so long. I’m often the target as I’m not academically inclined since young as compared to my younger sibling. At times it really gets into me. I would cry and beat/bite/scratch myself thinking I’m not good enough. With all the negative thoughts. Basically self harm, i know. I went to counseling once but stop as i was worried it will affect my future career prospects. Like will the employer be judgmental when they found out? At times i really want to move out but it’s not sustainable in Singapore as prices is so crazy expensive.

So i can only endure and suck it up. That’s my coping mechanism for a long time.

Before anyone bash me up saying i should suck it up as everyone have a coping mechanism and i should understand, what about me? Who will think of me?
